1900s

The Nineteen-hundreds, also known as the Twentieth century, refers to a span of 100 years, from 1900-1999. Many advancements in science and technology came about, as did many new nations. In the early 1900s, the High Penguin Confederacy was couped and turned into Khanzem, effectively ending one of the strongest nations in Antarctica's history, and also ending high-penguin rule throughout the continent.

• Ulmag, King of the High Penguin Confederacy since 1644, dies. Arvedui is soon after named King of the HPC.
• The Penguifornia Platinum Rush reached its peak.
• The War for Mylese Independence begins.
• A High Penguin named Bio first set eyes on, and named The Shooting Star 0001 (which was actually a comet). Shortly after, he teleported himself and his son Yuki onto the comet using magic.

1905

• The King of Frankterre is killed by a general of the Mylese army.

1909

• Ed Island Air Force is formed.

• King Carlos I of Lisboagal is killed in a revolt, bringing an end to the Lisboagese monarchy.

1911

• April 1, 1911: The 11-year War for Mylese Independence ends, with Mylou gaining independence from Frankterre.

1912

• Civil war breaks out in Castilla between the Castillan Republic and the fascists.

1913

• The High Penguin Confederacy is couped by Whoot Smackler Whoot, effectively starting the Khanzem War, one of the worst conflicts of the century.

1914

• November: Dps the Great leads the Moon Island Revolt, which lasts for more than a month.

1915

• January 1st: The Kingdom of Moon Island is officially founded by Dps the Great, and he is crowned Emperor.

1916

• The Republic of Ed Island is formed bringing an end to the Ed Islandian monarchy.
• Ed Island joins the Khanzem War in support of Khanzem

1917

• Polaris-Rogerston International Airport opens as Kingfish Air Terminal. It served as the main gateway to Polaris until 1944.
• Kingfish Complex is completed and opened as the new capital of Polaris.
• The Westionans pushed the Japalandese off of the island.
• The Castillan civil war ends, with the fascists claiming victory.

1918

• Khanzem, Japaland, and Ed Island surrender, officially ending the Khanzem War.

1919

• The Snowman Empire is founded.

• 1934: The Waitahian War began.

1935

• The Quadrants Consisting of Fire, Air, Water, and Ice are established.

1936

• A ceasefire is called between Ed Island and Neumenia, temporarily ending the Wulfen War

1937

• "Fizz Friends" soda is created. It was eventually re-named Fizz Master.

1938

• March: The Waitahian War ends after three and a half years, with the local Waitahians signing Sensters peace treaty.
• April 3rd: The absolute monarchy Senstaria is founded. Senster is crowned as King the following day.

1939

• May 15th: The Polaris Democratic Party is founded.
• A border skirmish ends the Ed Islandian ceasefire, causing the Wulfen War to continue once again.

• Revival of The Olympics, after eight years of planning.

• Delfinopolis is founded.

• The movie Night of The Living Sled is made.

• 1949: Ed Laboratories is founded by Dr. Pavelheer.

A new Acadia International Airport is built, replacing the old one. This airport is the present day airport in Acadia.

• May 1: "Silent Revolution" in Snowiny. Silent protest along downtown Snowiny to remember the Dolphinas Massacre on April 29, after protests in Dolpinas were violently suppressed by the nationalist government. Penguins are demanding free elections and the resignation of Francois Ferinco. Ferinco orders the military to suppress the protest. Geronimo Stanling, eventually to become a lead revolutionary general in the wars to unfold, is quoted saying "I see the government is continuing to play the game... there is something terribly wrong with this country... and I am gonna fix it."

• May 2: The Solidarity Movement is founded in Snowiny by Geronimo Stanling. At the Republic Square in Winsburg, he organizes a speech which was attended by over 700,000 Snowinians. He attracts the attention of people and calls for Snowiny to rise up against the government.

• May 5: Coup d'Etat attempt in Snowiny. Ferinco arrests and executes the 7 penguins who attempted it, at 3:05 PM. Geronimo and the Snowinians do not wait long; at 7:02 PM first shots of war are fired at the Bellamy Street in Winsburg. The Battle of the Bellamy Street lasts 2 days and results in a Revolutionary victory; the Revolutionaries had 350,000 soldiers while the Snowinian government brought only 37,000 to the battle. Ferinco declares martial law in the state.
