The 1st Executive Command Fleet is a fleet of aircraft operated by the Polarian Air Force, and is designated as a Special Operations command division within the Air Force. The 1st Executive Command Fleet is utilized as VIP transport for the President and Vice President of the Executive Administrative Council, associate members of the Executive Administrative Council. In addition to members of the EAC, 1st Executive Command fleet also operates flights for members of the Legislative Congress of Polaris. The 1st Executive Command Fleet maintains operating bases at Polaris-City International Airport and Enderby City International Airport and a maintenance base at South Pole City-Metropolitan International Airport. The fleet employs 875 service employees, and a fleet of 50 retrofitted, modern aircraft.

The responsibilities of the 1st Executive Command Fleet were fulfilled by seven modified Boeing 747-400ER aircraft and 4 Boeing 757-200 aircraft operated by the 2nd Special Operations Command until the formation of the 1st Executive Command Fleet in 2001. The 2nd Special Operations Command had leased the aircraft from aircraft brokers, and had modified them with heightened, state-of-the-art security technology which could be able to guide surface-to-air missiles against the aircraft. The aircraft were based at Fort Polaris Air Force Base and East Arden Air Force Base at Snowville. The aircraft were retrofitted with business-class seats and lounges throughout the aircraft, an enlargened galley, 3 private suites in each aircraft equipped with two lie-flat seats each. The aircraft were retied from federal use in 2005 with the arrival of the first replacement aircraft, and are presently used for the VIP transport for state officials; one aircraft being given to each state.
Four years prior to the retirement of the previous 11 aircraft, an expansion to 43 aircraft was announced by 2010. With the early development of the new A380-800 double-decker aircraft, Polarian military engineers had worked with Airhail in order to develop a safe, functional aircraft with the abilities of a conventional military aircraft, yet continues to transport executive officials in an ornately and exquisitely. Snowing had worked as under military contract with the development of Snowing 777-300ER passenger aircraft and tankers, and Snwoing 767-400ER aircraft under similar circumstances. Snowing had commenced deliveries in 2008 with one SCE-77 aircraft, Airhail followed suit with the first ACX-38 aircraft a year and-a-half later.
The aircraft are available to the President and the Vice President of the Executive Administrative Council, as well as all associate members ofnthe Executive Administrative Council, officials and Congressional representatives in the Legislative Congress of Polaris, all federal agencies and departments in addition to members to the Supreme Court. The aircraft are specifically reserved for public, diplomatic or emergency travel usage by members of Congress, outlined in the Fair Travel Initiative Act, which explicitly prohibits the private use of the aircraft for vacations and private affairs.
Operations[edit]
Most aircraft operations for the fleet are based from Polaris-City International Airport, in a highly-secured Executive Operations Terminal adjacent to the maintenance hangars and administrative buildings located at the midfield of the airport,accessed through a 4-lane raod tunnel running beneath taxiways and runways from the Airport Access Road (A-101). Maintenance bases are maintained in Enderby City International Airport and South Pole City-Metropolitan International Airport, and are continually served by the Antarctic Air Force at numerous other airbases.
An interesting feature of the 1st Executive Command Fleet is the open secret surrounding the aircraft's unofficial operating name, Air Polaris, a pseudonym suggested in 1989 by then-Deputy Air Force adviser Dennis Leeward, who, in an effort to safeguard the security of officials, proposed that the aircraft operate under a call sign and livery to prevent any terror-related threats to the aircraft, as seen with other state-run VIP transportation aircraft continent-wide. The aircraft, however, continually display the seals and emblems of entities related to each aircraft on the forward area of the aircraft. In order to somehow blend with other commercial aircraft, ir Polaris is based from the main international gateway to Polaris City, and usually operates to commercial airports as well.
The Executive Operations Terminal located at Polaris City is equipped with 6 jetbridges, two of which have the ability to service ACX-38 and Snowing 747 aircraft operated by the command fleet. The EOT operates a particularly large lounge having a capacity of 264 persons, also having leather-upholstered, ornate sofas and armchairs, a business lounge for Internet access and work, high-speed Wi-Fi access throughout the lounge, in addition to a vast collection of books. Furthermore, a top, exclusive gourmet buffet restaurant known as "Hemispheres" operates at the airport, and provides a variety of dishes from various international cuisines. The restaurant, in conjunction with the foodservice provider Andelco prepare meals for executive flights daily. Since journalists of several Polarian and international outlets are reserved seating, and are onboard executive flights with top officials, there is a high amount of security detail for both officials and journalists whilst at the terminal. Journalists are able to board these flights through the National Media Foundation, who funds the $14.33 million program annually.
