AP&P

Antarctic Publishing and Posting Company was a telecommunications provider that lasted from 1954 to 1989. It ran alongside the Governance and only took a small share of the market. It had its own telephone network and phone manufacturing department, even manufacturing phones that use the Governance network with their position. It was formed by Calvin Bellhop and received its blessing (AKA authorization) by the P.O.P.E. of the time, in 1965.
AP&P is notable most for its bankruptcy in 1987, even though its profits prospered significantly since the previous year. The case was not brought up until 1993, when a survey was conducted and it was realized that almost all 200 million AP&P phones mysteriously dissapeared within the course of five years. The blessing was suddenly revoked when the company collapsed into bankruptcy, and their contract was stripped as well. Attempts to file suit against the Governance followed, but its special status as the sole telecommunications provider of Antarctica resulted in the courts denying a hearing.
