Club Penguin Fanon Wiki:User treatment policy

This is a policy on how to treat other users.

Respect other users[edit]

No user deserves to be treated with disrespect, no matter the situation. If you have a disagreement do not try to solve the issue with verbal insults or by using profanities. Things said on the internet can hurt someone in real-life. Additionally, charges may be pressed for making threats against someone; you can be arrested, charged, and even sentenced to jail time. Think before you act. If you are harassing another user you will be blocked for a certain amount of time (determined by previous offenses).

Inviting conflict[edit]

Users are not to create "hate lists" (whether for other users to sign stating their disdain for said user or for the user in question to list the users they dislike). They are also not to make polls that gauge their "popularity" (or lack thereof) or polls which are to decide whether their fellow editors wish for them to leave or not. In short, while users are free to use their userpages as they choose, their userpages should not be used to create unnecessary conflicts within the community.

Solving user conflicts[edit]

All user conflicts should be solved peacefully. It is better to come to a compromise than to keep arguing. If you cannot compromise then simply stop talking to that user until you can come up with a solution. If you feel that a user has made a personal attack on you, you may report it, and an administrator will take appropriate action.

Edit and Revert wars[edit]

If a user is having an edit war with another user, the user should contact the other via that user's talk page or the article's talk page, and they should make an agreement to stop the war. If the users make more than three reverts to the page, they will have violated Three-Revert Rule, and may receive a block. Revert the page to its original state and refer to the Manual of Style and other writing guidelines for a solution. If the style guide does not give a guideline for the disagreement, discuss with other users on the article's talk page and attempt to reach a consensus (compromises should be made if necessary). The council may be used if more input from the community is required.

Blocking[edit]

If you feel you have been unjustly banned simply state your case on your talk page and let the community determine your situation. If you have been unfairly banned you may be unblocked. If you swear and curse at a user on your talk page the ban will stay in place, or it may be extended to a longer period of time.
