XTUX, get off your high horse. You have absolutely no authority to judge who is a good ruler and who isn't. I'm really getting sick of your attitude and would not mind demoting you and Leader both. Besides his treachery and mass demotion call, he'd also lose his authority because of his attitude and continued attempts to dismantle what little provisional government we have.

As for you XTUX, it's your lip that would cost you your powers. If promises meant anything and I got my Servermaster Dashboard, I would have created a special Promotion Class that allows for MediaWiki editing! That way, laymen could theme this site and customize the Interface without becoming sysyop. However, since all bets are off and knives have been stuck into many hard working users' backs, I can't trust any Staff or anyone who cheers on the evils of consensus.

Also, you're one to talk: you have a humble edit count and you don't use your powers, either, XTUX. It's pot calling the kettle black if I haven't seen it. If you weren't on the spoils system, rooting on the consensus form of government, you'd probably have lost YOUR power as well. Get off the Staff's coattails and try to prove why you deserve to be a Sysop in this system, if you can. In my system, I see you as a good Sysop because you earned the position and worked hard for it. You are a great writer and were confirmed by the Masses as one trusted to be vested with authority. In this system, it's based on the whims of a backroom "consensus" between the Staff, Leader, and maybe two others. It seems that pro-consensus or neutral people get the promotions while those vocally against it lose power.

Sheepman and I both hate consensus, and we were demoted. Coincidence? Perhaps, but perhaps not! (Of course, Speeddasher was also punished with loss of power, so that is probably a coincidence.)

We trust Admins with powers of MediaWIki editing not user-created ranks. Plus TS, you're not a Staffer, therefore you can not get Servermaster Dashboard. Also Speeddasher agreed with it and was demoted.

How have I worked hard? Well, I'm all three of core areas; community, anti-vandalism and technical (slightly). I regularly respond to user wishes and do my best the make the Wiki better in the technical aspects; I currently have a project to improve the sidebar. Keep your little project. If it's anything like this, you'll just make us into another CPW clone. Besides, I find it appalling that you have granted yourself the authority as to what administrators were trusted with. We have the right to create Ranks if we want to. I bet you're mad that you wouldn't get a Rank if they existed. You have around two hudred edits here, but I have twelve thousand, and yet I can't be a bureaucrat, and YOU can?

Even more disgusting is your self-given entitelement to define the "core" aspects of an Administrator.

Here's some of mine: censorship (our G rating, you Un-CP goon), maintaining stability, governing with an even hand, and not being a nuisance/flamer.

You encourage de-censorship, try to tear down the site's order, question every speck of authority, bias all governing actions and abuse your power as much as I allegedly do, and you're going to send this site up in flames. I'm already flaming right now. Or, am I in consensus? I CAN'T TELL THEM APART, LEADER.

By MY standards, you are unfit to govern. So, do I have the entitlement to demand you step down? I'd like to, but I don't. In my opinion, you should be the "full time Administrator" and me the Bureaucrat... -alas, I'm not favored by the Staff because I defend order hate consensus. I really wouldn't like to drive you away (USECP is far too awesome to be without), but I will if I have to, even if it kills one of the greatest works to ever grace this site.

TS, I did not get my position through sweet talking. I was planning on editing the MediaWiki and I got promoted. Also, remember that it isn't the quantity, but the quality of the edits that count. One reason? I have lots!

• To protect pages, control vandals, and right wrongs.
• To stop anyone trying to randomly demote others and promote themselves
• To stop anyone using the "Assassin move" when other admins may be at school/away/asleep
• To maintain order
• For general housekeeping (deleting policiy breaching pages etc.)

And another argument (Not exactly one of the reasons) for me keeping my power is because admins keep their power until they quit, become inactive for a long period of time (Not including school related things, holidays etc), break many rules, or abuse their powers. I have done none of these.

That is because Sheepman earned it and worked hard for it. He received his promotion by VOTE (take that, consensus!) and proved, by work, that he needed it. That, and I wante dto silence his opposition to punishing AG for flaming through buttkissing, because I respected him.
