Colossal World is a compilation album by recording artists of Terrain record label Colossal Records, founded and managed by DJ Crow. The album was surprise-released on September 18, 2016 independently on Colossal Records. The album is the record label's first project released that features a collection of songs by artists on the label. The album produced three singles—"Bungalows", "Chosen One" and "Black Rapsody".
The Colossal artists that appear on the album are DJ Crow, Sink, Snowstorm, Flurry Lyne, Bryan Fable and Anna Ice. There are further guest appearances external to the label, including Meaghan, Nebulent, Beetle and David Livingston.
The album was positively received by critics, but felt that DJ Crow did not feature on enough songs. The album is likely to have a sequel to be released in the following years.

Background[edit]
Colossal Records was formed by DJ Crow after he split with his long-term label Music Industry. On August 1, 2011, Crow's recording contract with Music Industry expired. When he went to resign, he decided that he didn't want to resign to the label because he thought that he was slowly turning into a mainstream artist. Because of this his album "Disc-Jockey's Nyt", which was due for release two weeks later, wouldn't be released by Music Industry. Instead of trying to sign to another label, Crow set up his own record label called "Colossal Records" the same day. Crow made modifications to the album, as it was no longer in Music Industry's grasp (apart from the singles that were registered to the label already). Despite now being independent now, Crow managed to do all the marketing, promotion and preparation for the album and singles. His friend and producer TrillBron also decided to leave the label so he could work with Crow and so that the label didn't tamper with his production. After news spread of Crow's decision, Crow said: "I think I made the right choice. I'm not gonna become no mainstream artist. Music Industry weren't even trying to turn me into one - it just started happening naturally. So I've set up my own label, Colossal. I'll be releasing all my material from there [Colossal Records] now. And I have no plans on signing to any other label. The future plan is to build this label and sign new, fresh talent."
Over the next few years Crow discovered artists that would aid him in building the label. The public received the first taste of such artists on Crow's fourth studio album Today's Declaration (2013). This included Flurry Lyne & Sink on "Only You Know", Sink on "Five Second Rule" and Snowstorm on "Nightmares" — all artists that had signed to the label between 2011 and 2013.
Colossal Records never planned to release a compilation project but Crow felt that it would serve as a good warm-up to his long-awaited fifth album In Search of Lost Time (2017).
Singles[edit]
The lead single, "Bungalows", features all four main Colossal artists — DJ Crow, Flurry Lyne, Sink and Snowstorm. It was released a day after the release of Colossal World.
"Chosen One" served as the second single, featuring DJ Crow and Snowstorm, released the following month on October 15, 2016.
The third and final single was "Black Rapsody", one of the two big posse cuts of Colossal World. It features DJ Crow, Snowstorm, Flurry Lyne and a guest appearance by Nebulent. It was released on November 28, 2016.
