The Ed Island Special Forces, commonly abbreviated to SF, are a special forces division of the Ed Island Army formed in 1984 for specialized missions including espionage, sabotage, and other tactical operations. While often treated as a subdivision of the EIA, the SF is its own branch of the military and does not answer to Army officials. SF members are distinguished from EIA by their black uniforms, leading the SF to be christened the "Black Army," as well as drawing similarities to the Snoss SSS.

Equipment

While the SF utilizes most of the same weaponry as the EIA and EIAF, it also contracts much of its own weaponry to be used on missions.

AM D119 AM D119R	Sidearm	.45 Auto	A modernized variant of the EIA M1920 produced by Arms Matériel, with synthetic bakelite grip panels, a shorter barrel, and a rounded hammer. The D119R is a variant of the standard D119 features select-fire capabilities between semi-automatic and 3-round burst fire, a folding vertical grip, and a threaded barrel for mounting either a muzzle break or suppressor.
Burkov TP	Tranquilizer Handgun	9x19mm	Converted from surplus Snowviet 'Burkov' handguns purchased from Rusca, the Burkov TP fires specially-designed tranquilizer rounds and lacks the ability to fire conventional ammunition.
Rifles and SMGs
StG-3 StG-3NL	Assault Rifle	7.92×33mm 'Kurz'	The StG-3 and its nonlethal variants are both used by the SF, though are being phased out for the StG-16.
StG-16 StG-16S	Assault Rifle	7.92x33mm 'Kurz'	A newer model assault rifle with many improved and redesigned features over the StG-3. A modified variant with an integral suppressor is also in use with SF forces.

F-24C/SF	Air superiority	30	The first F-24C aircraft procured by the Ed Island Military, the F-24C/SF is equipped with the holographic "Connection for Flight Interface" system first used on EISC aircraft allowing for more precise maneuvers to be made. F-24Cs also have the ability to use special EISC munition pods, such as plasma cannons, active camouflage, or energy shielding.
B-5 Mobius	Precision bomber	5	Modified variants of Shops' stealth bombers, the B-5 is equipped with energy shielding and active camouflage to render the aircraft invisible for short periods of time.
Covert Missions Aircraft	Clandestine Operations	1	A twin-engine turboprop passenger aircraft, SF agents are notorious for shooting captured individuals before throwing them out of the plane.
