Red is Happyface State. Yellow is Freezeland. Striped is disputed. Purple is, obviously, Archet. Black is internationally recognized Freezeland/USA borders, except where the stripes are.

As for the gerrymeandering, the S was kept by Freezeland because it had a vein of silver and four mines tapping it, with many more to come. The F had twenty military bases and one WMD storage center that HF State could never afford to lose.

Archet is still disputed, though the international community recognizes it as Happyface's territory alone.
