Fisch and Chips is a dine-in restaurant chain that sponsors and is owned by the Hochstadt Gang. It provides the gang with money for it's financial expenses -- except that the gang only gets 10% of its profit. The restaurant is well known for it's large diversity of mostly healthy foods from around the Antarctic.


History[edit]

After the GSWIV in 2010, it came to account to the Hochstadt Gang that they needed more financial sponsorship since they needed to afford certain things as a group. After a long discussion, It was then decided to create a restaurant chain. They named the chain "Fisch and Chips" in honor of Fisch Hochstadt, who came up with the idea. Thus, the first restaurant was built in Club Penguin City and Joe Snowhills, the owner of the previously purchased restaurant before F&C, became the CEO by request.

Menu[edit]

The menu has a diverse selection of dishes from different cultures, which is why many like it. The menu accustomes to many different tastes for both Penguins and Puffles.

Breakfast meals[edit]

  • Batavian Pancakes - Four thick and delicious pancakes stacked on top on each other that can be applied with the optional maple syrup, fruit, whipped cream, or buttermilk.
  • Str00del Approved Waffles - A recipe courtesy of Mister Bean. These are two Belgian waffles that are also served with maple syrup, buttermilk, whipped cream, or fruit.
  • Soufflé - Beaten egg whites and egg yolks mixed with other ingredients (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, peach). Courtesy of Slidur.
  • Frankterran Crepes - A thinner variation of the Batavian pancakes. They are usually rolled up to contain fillings like fruit, chocolate, whipped cream, and jam.
  • Caladian Montrealm-style bagels with Cream Cheese - A Caladian variation of the bagel, and is much sweeter and denser than the mainland bagels, This is also served with a dollop of the finest cream cheese from Calada. Courtesy of Sancho Monte Captio
  • Snowinian Fresh Morning Meal - Practically an omelet with salad by the side and some tomatoes.

Main dishes (lunch and dinner)[edit]

  • "Fisch" and Chips - Battered Yellow Fish served with Chips (also called French Fries in the USA) This is the Restauraunt's most famous dish, courtesy of Fisch Hochstadt.
  • Fishball Pasta - grilled Fish rolled into balls are tossed into a large bowl of Linguini Pasta with classic Maranara Sauce with Rosemary. Courtesy of Clovis.
  • Jock's Hearty Roasted Fish Sandwich - A delicious sandwich made with baugette bread and has Grilled (Tuna) Fish inside. It can come with optional Lettuce and other condiments. Courtesy of Jock Hochstadt.
  • Gnarly Fish Tacos - Two Tacos that can come in either soft or hard tortilla shells. It's ingredients are chopped fish (choose from Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Salmon, or Sardines), Cilantro, Chopped Tomatoes, and some lettuce. Courtesy of Dave.
  • Mattress Village Smoked Salmon in Cream Sauce Pasta - Delicious Smoked Salmon in linguini pasta covered in a Cream Sauce. Courtesy of Dan Beronews.
  • Pengolian Spiced Fish - this traditional recipie is roasted fish, covered oberry sauce, with Flame Berries on it, stuffed with skinned and cleaned Grey Fish inside the Fluffy Fish, and wrapped with sea weed. Ironically, Courtesy of Austin.
  • Paella Real - ("Royal Paella") a traditional dish from Castilla. It consists of rice fried with saffron and served with peas, fish sausage, bell peppers, shrimp, clams, squid, and octopus. There is also a vegetarian option. Courtesy of King Carlos Goberna (2013).

Fish Steaks[edit]

Added to the menu by popular demand in 2012, designed by Gottfried Hochstadt. NOTE: Available only in select locations, mostly in chains located in major cities.

  • Classic Grilled Fluffy Fish - a regular Fluffy Fish with the option of having it wood fire grilled or gas. Choose to have it marinated or just simply spiced up with pepper. Can be cooked to Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, and Well Done.
  • Grey Fish Steak - Introduced in 2014, this delicacy is the second most expensive fish Steak. However, it is also much more flavorful than a normal grilled fish steak.
  • Thanksgiving Mullet - Served year round, this classic mullet is oven baked to perfection. Stuffing is optional.
  • Assorted Fish Sausages and Meats Asado Style - Assorted Sausages and steaks of Fluffy Fish, morsels of Mullet, and Grey Fish grilled on an open fire. It is usually a good dish to share. This is a traditional Parhentinian dish.
  • Fish Bratwurst - Traditional Alemanian dish of two fish sausages (choice of fluffy fish or mullet) grilled served with ketchup and mustard on the side. Buns and relish are optional.
  • Fish Mignon - An 15-oz portion of a Mullet seasoned with honey barbecue sauce and garlic salt. This is one of the most expensive dishes.

  • Classic Puffican Clam Chowder - Delicious creamy Clam Chowder that is served with crackers. Courtesy of Jock.
  • Gazpacho Delicioso - a classic recipie of Gazpacho Castillan style, which is a cold tomato soup with assorted chopped vegetables. It is a popular dish with Vegetarian penguins and Puffles.
  • Crab Soup - A soup made with a thick crab based broth and contains morsels of crab meat.

  • Asiapelagoan Salad - A flipper tossed salad of chopped lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and wontons topped with a Special Sauce from Zhou. Courtesy of Fuut Ga.
  • Lago di Lario Salad - A Salad made with Romano Lettuce Leaves, cherry tomatoes, Spinach, Carrots, and Croutons. It is topped with a choice of Ranch or Bleu Cheese Dressings. Courtesy of Clovis.
  • Puffle-O's Salad - A salad made with Iceberg Lettuce Leaves, O-Berries, cherry tomatoes, Spinach, and Cabbage. It is topped with an Optional Spicy Flame Berry dressing. Courtesy of Leonardo and Piper.
  • Chili Caeser Salad - A fresh salad tossed with hot sauce on the side with ranch,iceberg lettuce,garlic and Parmesan cheese croutons,sliced carrots,salmon,and a tint of jalapeños at the bottom. This is the 3rd most popular dish and also courtesy of Slidur.

Side Dishes/Appetizers[edit]

  • Fried Tofu - Delicious Fried tofu that can be eaten with the optional Soy Sauce. It is recommended to eat it with the Asiania Salad. courtesy of Fuut Ga.
  • Guacamole - Guacamole, made with Mashed Avacadoes with some tomatoes and spices, is also served with Tortilla Chips. It is recommended to eat with the Taco. courtesy of Dave.
  • Bowl of Fruit - A Healthy bowl of Fruit that contains sweet, fresh fruits grown locally from the area of where that restaurant is located. Recipes vary, and can be eaten with any meal.
  • French Fries - Also called chips in some areas.

Desserts[edit]

  • Ligurian Tiramisu - Tiramisu is a cake dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone, and flavored with cocoa.
  • Creme Brulee - A Frankterran dessert, It is cream that is topped by a sweet burnt crusty mix of cream and brown sugar.
  • Gelato (Ligurian Ice Cream) - Delicious Gelato from Liguria. It comes in four flavors: Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Pistachio.
  • Snossberry Pie - Delicious pie that has a creamy filling of fresh Snossberries in a fine Snossberry Sauce.
  • Natas - Small Lisboaguese pastries that resemble miniature Creme Brulees in a tiny pie shell. Four natas are typically served for one order.

Critic ratings[edit]

  • Snoss Critics rated it a 4 out of 5 star restaurant; praising its low fat meals, warm atmosphere, and fresh and diverse food, despite this chain having to do with the Hochstadt Gang.
  • Frankterre's top culinary critics have given the restaurant a 5 out of 5 review on the food due to its "unique diversity that one can not find anywhere else". They did not grade any other aspect of the restaurant.
  • Snowiny's Critics rated it 5 out of 5 stars. They feel it impressive for a Hochstadt member to do, for being one of the only food chains in Antarctica to not make fat food, for a warm atmosphere, extremely nice cooking and even nice name for restaurant (but that's not really important).
