Geneticorp is a new company specializing in genetic research, especially that of puffles. It focuses on the puffles and has been selling medicine for puffles, as well as gene therapy for those with certain disorders. The company is controversially responsible for the puffle hybrid species which they sell as pets.
History[edit]
Geneticorp was started by a team of scientists and business who were studying the DNA of puffles. Science were baffled at how it worked. They did not understand why some puffles couldn't speak and lived only a few decades, while others could speak and could live for over a century. They were also trying to figure out which color a puffle would be based on it lineage. While puffles tend to be a color of one of their ancestors none of the genes appear to be dominant or recessive. Scientists believe that cracking the DNA of puffles would help them understand genetics.
Geneticorp managed to crack the code although kept their knowledge secret. They started to use their knowledge to create medicine of all sorts for puffles. However they thought one way to profit off their extensive k ow ledge of puffle DNA was to create new puffles by splicing the puffle DNA with other animals.
Geneticorp initially kept their experiments hidden from the public for fear of public scrutiny. However some of their creations escaped such as Raccoon Puffles. The company eventually released their work to the shock of the public in 2014. They wanted volunteers to take care of their creations to see how well they would work as pets.
Many fans of My Little Equiffle were willing to become the owners of the equine based puffles, which helped Geneticorp ' s revenue.
Controversy[edit]
There has been much controversy over Geneticorp ' s experiment ranging from the ethical dilemma of tampering with DNA for cosmetic purposes, creating puffles significantly less intelligent than normal puffles, holding patents over genetic material they didn't "create", and plain old complaining that the puffle hybrids look hideous.
There has also been controversy over the secrecy of Geneticorps doings. Many people.feel like Geneticorp should release it's knowledge to the public so that everyone can learn from it.
Furthermore, while the pets created by Geneticorp were supposed to not be as intelligent as puffles (the owners claim this is a side effect of splicing with animal DNA), many of the pets show evidence of having higher than average intelligence which put faults in this claim.
Several of their specimens have escaped into the wild, including Raccoon Puffles. Many environmentalists have been concerned about the ecological impact, however there hasn't been any damage to the ecosystem after the defauntus have been released.

- The concept for puffle hybrids was created by Director Penny and implemented by the Wannabes Masters of the Universe. Before they were wiped off for being too Nonsensical An unknown entity created Geneticorp to give them a believable origin. Puffle Hybrids rids aggravate Director Benny to no end ans Mayor McFlapp decided to keep them canon because of that.
- Doctor Insano claims that they ripped off his experiments. Geneticorp has denied this and Insano isn't willing to go to a trial since he is a criminal.
