Glitter is the second promotional single from Meaghan's sophomore album "CandyLand". It was released on July 14th, 2011 at the "Countdown to Meaghan's 'CandyLand'" on iceTunes.
Background[edit]
The song was recorded in 2010 by Meaghan. Her inspiration for the song was about all good things that had happened to her. She stated; "My singles that have been Top 10 in many countries, the sold-out shows in my first tour, collaborations with my friends, my fans liking new songs from CandyLand, it's been a BOMB!"
This song, along with "Frosting" and "(Evil) Cotton Candy Clouds" were released via the "Countdown to Meaghan's 'CandyLand'" on iceTunes.
The song has no vocals, and its only an instrumental song that is 5 minutes and 14 seconds long. Bass and drums are the instruments that predomine in the song.
After the success of "Frosting" and its "Remixes" EP, Meaghan announced another EP for Glitter, including 4 more songs that have vocals with DJ Crow, Cadence, Katy Spitz and Tim and Tom.
Critical Reception[edit]
Critics gave positive reviews to the song. They praised the whole song, and its musical structure.
Cover Artwork[edit]
The cover for the song includes the words "Glitter" and "Meaghan" written in white fonts, with a blue background. Meaghan said the cover had nothing to do with glitter, but still she loved the cover for the song. The cover was released in Meaghan's website a day before the song was released in the iceTunes "Countdown" along with an announcement of a "Remixes" EP for "Frosting.
