Chapter 1: The Ordeal Begins[edit]
Hi! I'm Puggie4276, who appears to be the average Adelie penguin. Well, I am, but I do have an extraordinary story to share.
It was an ordinary day, 1 week before the events of Professor Shroomsky's Wild Escapade. I was in Newton Town in Trans-Antarctica, selling 55 pebbles to a bank dealer. The southern hemisphere seemed to be sweltering, as if the world were quivering- hey, WAIT! THAT'S- "AN EARTHQUAKE!" I shouted. But it was something much worse. Midsentence, the ground started to shake like the Pumpkin Meteor crashed right there and then.
Another jolt, and I was knocked off my feet and fell down. How is that not an earthquake?, I thought. But if I had known what was really going on, I would have had a panic attack. I knew things were not going smoothly, so I grabbed the coins and ran for the Antarctic Express' departing train. I thought as I ran; what was I going to do? But it all seemed familiar, like something out of my chickhood days… THAT'S IT! BEING LATE FOR THE SCHOOL BUS, I KNEW IT ALL ALONG!
Flashback (Here we see Pug again. He looks as if he's the human equivalent of 7, running after a bus down the road. You're viewing this in black & white, by the way.) I was running along the road, my breath rasping. I threw open the door and-
-then everything went back to real life. Running for the caboose beside me I latched onto the rail, my feet getting extremely close to being crushed. Pulling myself up, I took a leap of faith for the door. What a surprise that I never had to worry about the lock, instead the ice jolted, the lock broke and I slammed in.
That saved my life.
