The show was announced in September 2013, and on November 18, 2013, a "special preview" episode aired, "Hacker, Part 1" (whereas part 2 aired the week following). The official premiere, "World of Coding and Decoding", will premiere December 9, 2013.

- After Hacker, Part 1 came out, Hacker, Part 2 came out and ended up leaked on the internet. To this, creator Alan Seashores says that "[he] hopes this doesn't happen to the official series premiere because it is a very special episode for the series".
