History[edit]
Club Penguin rose from a humble seaside village to a full-blown port about the time that Penguin Chat 3 transitioned past the Beta Era.
In 2005, as G designed the Servers, the Moderators- this was before EBUL really had much power -noted that CP would need tourism as part of its survival. However, they did not want the dock built by the Club to be turned into a port or a harbor. So, they contacted G, and requested for him to come up with a solution.
G agreed, and the Moderators suggested that a special set of servers be set aside solely for residential and tourism. This turned out to be a set of Residential and Tourism servers, called RCP. The Harbor was then built with 2 docks, with a passenger terminal and lounge
Time passed, and the terminal turned into a bustling, 15-pier harbor. Passenger numbers grew, and the harbor grew too, but not to an extent of that of the Port, which went all the way inland to the Ski Village and Ice Rink. It went all the way to the outskirts of the Town.
Environment[edit]
Around the harbor is a dangerous sea called the Soda Seas, full of pink water and the Clam Waters, full of Dark Blue Water. It is very hard to navigate there, but there have only been a few accidents. Among those few accidents, the environment is endangered, but the EBUL has not been put at fault as they trick EPF agents into creating special shields to make environmentalists think that there is nothing wrong
Future[edit]
However, During the 2012 review of Club Penguin, ecological concerns was brought on, and the waters around the Harbor will be cleaned and the Harbor itself to be upgraded. Land will be reclaimed, and the port will be expanded into that location, as part of the Club Penguin Island Upgrading Project. Once reclamation and port works are done, all port operations will be moved to that piece of land, to be served by a special monorail leading penguins to the maritime Station on King George's Island.
The current inland harbor will be demolished, with the exception of the Seaside. The excess land will be used for Phase Two of the CPUP.
