The Intercontinental Rugby Board or the IRB is the main international board governing the sport of Rugby union (Rugby League? What are you talking about?). It was started in 1886 after the formation of the rules of Rugby and as a result, is the oldest sports federation in the continent. It was founded by the Colonies of the High Penguin Confederation and PreTerra who played against each other in the Five Colonies for the HPC and the Tri Colonies for PreTerra. Today, it continues to promote the popular sport of Rugby in Antarctica. The most famous competition is the IRB Rugby World Cup along with the Six Colonies competition of Antarctica and the Quad Colonies.
