The January 2014 Ed-Snowine Border Skirmish was a tiny border skirmish in Ed Island. It was caused by Snowinians in north Ed Island who refused to leave the country after anti-Snowinian racist laws were imposed and after some Snowinian soldiers in the area continued fighting despite getting the message that fighting ended. Barely any deaths and injuries happened and the skirmish was concluded with an agreement, that repealed anti-Snowinian laws in Ed Island, officially declared Ed Island fully independent, and also resulting in Snowiny having to pay war reparations to Ed Island.
Prologue[edit]
The Ed War of Independence would have just ended about a week ago but fighting continued by forces refusing to leave. On 28th January, racist anti-Snowinian laws were put in force, which forced all Snowinians on Ed Island territory to be immediately expelled. Snowinians in Ed Island disagreed with this, and the Snowinian government backed the Snowinians in Ed Island and declared Ed Island not be able to put such laws in force. The Snowinian government demanded the laws be repealed by the next morning. EDFan messaged the Snowinian government literally "No.". Robert Smith was furious with the response and the Snowinian Liberation Army (not organized by the government) quickly attacked villages in Ed Island.
The Skirmish[edit]
At 16:05, Ed Island corps arrived at the scene and attempted to repulse the SLA's attacks. This failed. A few injuries happened on both side and nobody died, except civilians. Civilians in the north flew south. Snowinians failed in this attack and quickly moved to occupy villages west. Ed Island soldiers quickly ran west.
At a fight west, Snowinians destroyed many tanks brought by the Ed Island soldiers, while Snowinians brought a lot of them through ships. Ed Island soldiers had to retreat south, while the Snowinian Liberation Soldiers occupied dozens of villages in the north.
The Ed Island Air Force arrived on the scene and shot down several tanks and soldiers. A few deaths happened to Snowiny, and by 20:39, Snowinians retreated north, letting the Ed to reoccupy back their territory.
Robert Smith, meanwhile in Snowiny, called for immediate negotiations and demanded SLA forces withdraw immediately. SLA forces began withdrawing at 23:04, and Ed soldiers got the message of a to-happen peace agreement.
Smith and EDFan both were frustrated at what happened today. Both leaders demanded immediate withdraws, and the leaders discussed through phone at 00:04. They discussed 27 minutes and the negotiations came to a good end, with Ed Island granted full independence, Snowiny having to pay war reparations and the repeal of the anti-Snowinian laws that were put in place.
Aftermath[edit]
The reparations in the north didn't take long and everything was repaired by 4 months.
Trivia[edit]
- Hostilities rose between the two throughout 2014/15 and Snowiny suspects the Eds may bring back those laws, and Snowiny would get to do anything about it due to it's Shopper allies.
