Jetguin was an international TV channel founded by Rick Xings in Summer 1998. The TV Channel was very popular among chicks 9 to 16, and got good reception. Jetguin gave great profit, but during a small economic crash in 2009 it was shut down. A week later the Walt Icey Company bought up Jetguin's channel space, and replaced it with Icey XD. Jetguin's shows are almost completely forgotten already, and many viewers forgot about it.

History[edit]

Jetguin was established in summer 1998 on cable. It was created by Rick Xings, and a task force of 80 penguins. The first month Jetguin was airing old shows, while they were producing their own. Jetguin became very popular in Japaland the first month, because it was airing a lot of anime shows at the time. When Jetguin released its first show, which was Antarctican, they lost many Japalandese viewers because the anime shows were now viewing less often. In winter 1998 Jetguin released another Antarctican show, which was a reality show. The reality show didn't fit well with viewers, and Rick thought it didn't match the style of Jetguin the more he thought about it. So the show was canceled. In summer 1999 another show was released, which was a cartoon. It became very popular extremely quick, and became the #1 kids show of 1999. Rick decided to hire that same show's producer, and ask him to make some other shows of all genres. The producer agreed to, and his next show came out in 2000.

In 2005 Jetguin reached its peak of fame. It had a fan base of 10 million chicks, and was still growing. By 2005 it was airing 10 different shows, and was racking such a huge profit. Rick Xings was now a millionaire, and it seemed like Jetguin would never fall. In 2006 something big happened, Jetguin lost over 6 million viewers. When Rick looked into the situation he discovered that Icey Channel had also reached its peak, and was sucking in viewers from other channels. Rick was very disappointed, and got his Idea Group together to create a new show to bring viewers back. Rick couldn't decide, and decided to fix up the current shows. While fixing the current shows, the Icey Channel kept pulling viewers away from Jetguin. In 2007 Jetguin got back 2 million viewers, and was able to stand strong until the economic crash of 2009.

In 2009 millions of small businesses shut down, including Jetguin. Rick quickly got himself as much money as he could before Jetguin shut down, and is now retired in Frankterre. Jetguin and all its shows completely shut down, without even airing a finally. This disappointed many viewers. The Walt Icey Company quickly bought Jetguin, and replaced it with Icey XD. The fall of Jetguin put 5 million people out of work, and nearly destroyed the economy in South Pole City, and other office locations.

Block Programming[edit]

Jetguin did have some block programming, but not on a large scale. The first block programming they had was Oldie Monday, which was created in 2000. Oldie Monday featured a bunch of old shows, of all genres, from the early 90's back to back. Oldie Monday wasn't very popular among chicks, but many parents enjoyed seeing the old shows.

In 2002 Jetguin developed another block programming, Sci-Fi Saturday. Sci-Fi Saturday was a group of science fiction shows played together at Saturday night. It was very popular, especially in the Geek Empire. Sci-Fi Saturday was shut down in 2007, and replaced with Jetguin Bests.

In 2007 a new block programming was made, Jetguin Bests. It replaced Sci-Fi Saturday, which angered many fans of Sci-Fi Saturday. Jetguin Bests included Jetguin's most popular show, no matter what genre they were. It also included some behind the scenes of some of the shows, and commercials related to the shows. Some viewers really liked it.

Image Name Description
Sillyton Sillyton was a Japalandese anime that aired on Jetguin from 1998 to 2002. It wasn't produced by Jetguin, but by a small company located in Japaland. It was the #1 anime show on Jetguin. It stared a teenager and her family, who lived on a farm in Japaland. The teenager's name was Susan, and she would get into much trouble. At the end of each episode Susan would learn a valuable lesson, and then would break the fourth wall by telling it directly to the audience.
Buttlehampton Buttlehampton was a show about two chicks who lived in an old, and ruined town. They lived with their uncle in a small shack, which was basically falling apart. The two chicks have always wanted to find a way to get out of this disaster, then they hear about buried treasure in their town. They start searching all over for the treasure, and come across some crazy things. Buttlehampton was the first cartoon produced by Jetguin, and it was a big hit. To this day the show still earns some awards.
Drake and Kay Drake and Kay was a reality TV show about two company owners, who were currently dating. But when they broke up their business started fighting each other for market, and things got out of flipper. Some bombs were used, and the police had to come in. The show didn't last long though, because Rick Xings thought it match well with the idea of Jetguin. Some action loving boys were upset of the show being canceled, but after that a new action packed show came out.
Destroying Trucks Destroying Trucks was a game show where two teams would have to build a machine, completely out of car parts, and try to destroy something. The winning team would win 600 pebbles, and would be able to keep their invention. The loosing team would have to watch the other team's invention destroy theirs. The show was very popular, and lasted all until 2009. It was most popular among boys, and some girls. It did receive title of #1 Game Show of The Year two times in row, which made Rick proud.
Green Planet Green Planet was a show about an alien king who ruled a planet called Green Planet. When his home world was invaded by an enemy empire, the king had to escape with what little citizens he could bring. When the king escaped he decided to head to the most livable planet, Earth. When he arrives he discovers it's inhabited, so he decides to take over. The show was all about a war against the aliens, but was full of action, romance, comedy, and drama. It was awarded several awards, and had a big fan group.
The Adventures of Mark Easel The Adventures of Mark Easel is a show about a super penguin named Mark Easel, who travels Antarctica in search of crime. When he comes upon a crime scene he fights the villain, and usually wins. He travels with his friend Jacob Sunshine, who's his trusty sidekick from Dorkugal. The show was horrible, and was canceled after one season. Before the show was canceled a movie was being worked based on the show, but it was soon canceled along with the show.
Bob'opia Bob'opia was cartoon about a character named Officer Bob, who's an officer in Bob'opia. Every male character in the show was named Bob; every female character in the show was named Bobet. Officer Bob would always hold his left flipper to his beak, pretending it was a mustache. The show was full of slapstick comedy, which made it very popular. Bob'opia was the most popular cartoon of the early 21st century, and was the most popular cartoon Jetguin ever had. It had a massive fan base. Unlike the other shows on Jetguin, Bob'opia was bought by Penguin TV before Jetguin went out of business.
Quint Quint was a show about an idiot news reporter, who lives in Club Penguin. Quint has always dreamed about becoming a famed reporter, and he's willing to do anything to become one. He usually goes on big adventures to discover stories for the Penguin Times, and some of these adventures get him into big trouble. He travels Antarctica to hide from criminals, and goes on some of the most exciting adventures. The show was popular among chicks 5 to 9, and some 12 to 14. Like Bob'opia it was bought by Penguin TV before Jetguin went out of business.

Trivia[edit]

  • This is a parody of Jetix.
    • Yeah you're probably like "What's Jetix?". Well it's an old, old, old TV channel.
  • Some viewers have noticed that in the Jetguin there's the silhouette of a puffle, but the channel has the suffix "-guin" which is found in "penguin".
  • The channel was originally going to be called "X-Guin", but the name didn't make any sense, so Rick had it changed.
