History[edit]
In 1930, a penguin in Pengmark created a small wooden brick for his 3 chicks. He originally meant for it to be a family toy, but as his workshop selling igloo furniture went bankrupt, he saw a slight potential in the small wooden brick. The penguin decided to start selling the wooden bricks, under the brand name Leego.
In 1938, the factory making the wooden bricks burnt down, mostly because of the fact that everything was wooden. Because of this, the penguin decided to start making plastic bricks. The idea of plastic bricks was a success, and sales boosted.
By 1940, sales had spread to Frankterre, Castilla, Puffle'and, Alemania, and Japaland.
In 1958, the penguins soon realized that other companies might soon copy the plastic brick, and so patented it under the name Leego Building Brick.
By 1978, the company had made a figure called the "Minipenguin". By making the Minipenguin, the company opened up LEEGO Town, LEEGO Space, and LEEGO Castle.
By 2007, the company opened up new ideas by making the first licensed theme, LEEGO Snow Wars.
In July 2012, Penguin Network received the rights from Leego to produce the new animated TV series, Pengjago: Masters of Card-Jitsu. The series premeired on March 31, 2013, as part of Penguin Network's Spring Marathon. On October 31, 2013, Leego's new Penguin Network series, Legends of Pengma, will air. Continuing the partnership, in 2014 Lixels will air.
On March 16, 2014, LEEGO will release their first theatrical film, The LEEGO Movie.

The companys offical club,The LEEGO Club was created in 1990.The LEEGO Club is the only company club,but there are clubs owned by fans.
