Magyaria (Hungarian: Magyarország) is a small island country of the Ninja Archipelago. Historically a militant, nationalist power in Antarctica, Magyaria has been known for allying itself with radical and nationalist nations such as Khanzem and the Bridgestadt Pact, tarnishing its name among more free societies. Today, Magyaria remains a minor nation in the Ninja Archipelago, rarely involving itself in international affairs.

The Bantsylvania region of Magyaria is known to be home to a small population of vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings. The origins of these groups lie with the High Penguins which once resided in Bantsylvania, whose magic created these Penguin offshoot species.

The Isle of Magyaria was first inhabited by the nomadic Magyar Viking Penguin Tribes in 895 AD. They established towns and cities and established the country with a Monarchy that same year.

The Kingdom of Magyaria joined Khanzem and the other Naughtzee nations in 1913 during the Khanzem War, favoring those nations over the foreign cultures of The Good Guys. Throughout the entirety of the conflict, Magyarian forces focused on the invasion of Snowiny (the former Osloven Empire), wishing to bring it under Magyarian control, as well as . Despite Khanzem and other Naughtzee members' defeat, Magyaria itself remained relatively unscathed in the aftermath of the Khanzem War, as no enemy troops landed in the nation.

In 1934, the Wulfen War erupted between Ed Island and Neumenia, with Magyaria providing vast amounts of military aid to Ed Island due to their close ties since the Khanzem War. After Ed Islandian victory in the Wulfen War, Magyaria, Ed Island, and Osterreach signed the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation, a precursor to what would eventually become the Bridgestadt Pact. This treaty brought the three nations closer into a mutual defense pact, and was a major power throughout the False War against the forces of Communism.

Magyaria remained a monarchy until 1963 when the reigning monarch Andrew III died without an heir, leading to a crisis of secession. After a short period of turmoil, the nation was reformed into the Republic of Magyaria with elections first held the following year. The elected leader, simply known as the Head of State, can serve up to three six-year terms.

This is the Luda Castle, home of the Kings of Magyaria for many years. Notice it's Garden and its climate.

Like most of the nearby islands, Magyaria is a green country that is home to lots of trees, bushes, and grass. However, it's still cold enough for penguins to live in. Magyaria in particular is unique because half of the island is made up of flat to rolling plains, with the other half having many mountainous regions. The island has mild summers and very cold winters that gets a lot of snow.

Magyaria's culture has been influenced by Slavic and Germanic cultures. Magyaria developed its own tradition and culture over the centuries and formed a unique national identity being among the only nations in Antarctica that aren't part of any ethnic group (though bearing many similarities to Suomen and Freezestonian cultures).

Magyarian Cuisine is based on Fish, Seasonal Vegetables, Fruits, Fresh Bread, and Cheese. They also love to make Soups and especially stuffed Pancakes. For Dessert, the Magyarians like pastries.

Magyarian penguins are not known for being fashion freaks but many like to stick to the latest trends. They greatly admire the fashions of Parie, Milano, and Zurich.

The Magyarian Military is heavily influenced by those of Osterreach and Ed Island, having standardized on much of the same equipment in the 1950s.

Relationships with Other Nations[edit]

  • This is a parody of Hungary.
  • To the Snoss, who still have plans for invading, Magyaria is known as Ungarn.
