Carcharocles megalodon

One of the largest predators to ever walk the penguin isle oceans, this prehistoric shark has left behind teeth that are still found around the world. Up to six inches in length, the teeth may have come from a shark that was eighty feet long. That's the same length as two school buses parked end to end. The Megalodon is thought to be extinct, but teeththat are only eleven thousand years old reportedly have been discovered. In 1918, Austeceian fisherpenguins reported a ghostly white shark as long as the wharf they were standing on, 115 feet, stealing their three-feet-long fish pots, fluffies, grey fish, squid and all.

Another sighting occurred In the 1960's. The captain of a 26-meter fishing boat reported seeing a huge shark.
