Murphy: The Fall and Rise of Darktan/Chapter 8: Darktan II!!!

Mectrixctic was proud. X was proud. The Treacherous Trio was proud. The Conclave of Doom was proud. In fact, everyone in the DTA was proud. Although, the only exception was Willie Watt and that was because X told her that he didn't love her. Everyone could here her wail.

"Luka, get the brainwashing device. I can't have an emotionally disabled ally" Mect ordered.

"Yes mwam!" Luka grunted.

Darktan II's muscle pains were finally over. He was learning to use his levitational powers.

"X, why didn't you give him flippers to waddle with?" Herbert Horror roared.

"Well, if he levitates more, he can use his telepathic powers more effectively" X replied.

"Ohhhhhhhh!" everyone said.

WitchyPenguin got a few target boards.

"OK Darktan II, use your power to take out this target board".

Darktan used his telepathy to make the target board explode. It worked.

"Good! Now destroy these free".

Darktan floated up and fired a fireball at the targets. They simply burnt up.

He floated back down.

"Ok, he knows the basics. Now I better teach him advanced. Come along Darktan II, I'll teach you some more powers" WitchyPenguin ordered.

"Weren't I supposed to lead this army?" Darktan question.

"Yes but you're powerless right now. Come along" bellowed WitchyPenguin.

Mectrixctic agreed with Witchy. "She's right. He is powerless"

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"We must find some form of power for him" a minion suggested.

"It can be elemental" another said.

"There's a problem with that; most elements are taken or powerless" a High Knight of Darkness sighed.

"I can fix that. I was recently spying on Xorai's Army on orders from Darktan during the war. Then I found out a secret; Xorai had been working on the Darkness Amulets. They currently comprise of six elements; Fear, Deletion, Oobleck, Guano, Dark Lava and the most recent; Aether" a minion with a Russian accent suggested.

"Oh... well I heard of Fear and Deletion but these other elements seem... interesting. Ok, we are raiding the base the to grab these elements. It could power up Darktan II" Mectrixctic said. Everyone agreed except for Herbert Horror. He was enjoying power and he didn't want it to be taken away from him. Surprisingly he remained quiet and Mect knew that. Secretly, Mect also wanted control but was keeping it tucked down deep. "Oh, minion, what's your name?" Mectrixctic.

"Roman. Roman de Konrinski".

"Thanks Roman. You have been excellent service. I'm promoting you to Elite Minion".

Mectrixctic had done her bit. Now it was Herbert Horror's turn to lead Darktan's - sorry his forces into battle. Meanwhile Darktan II floated by a guard of 100 Dark Archons near the command line. The Doom Knights and Abyss Knights were in front in squads of 14, each with a Dark Templar, six Lava Puffles and a Squadron Leader. In front of them were simple cannon fodder such as Flame Knights, Painful Bears and Mwa Mwa Penguins, led by Coool31. There were batteries of STINC Howitzers manned by the STINC soldiers behind the commanders. Also there were Demon Penguin allies led by Mectrixctic and his private army along with WishFlyx's Army, led by WishFlyx. The odds were in favor of the Darktonians.

No they weren't. Firstly, their army wasn't being led by an able commander like Mect or Darktan II; they were led by Herbert Horror, who had never truly lead an army in his time under Darktan's rule. Xorai may not be able either and his clones might be a bit useless but the Darktonians were much weaker. Also Flywish's Army are also allied with them. The morale was also stronger compared to the Darktonians; Darktan's Army were doubtful of Darktan II.

The Darktonians had a bonus though; the element of surprise. They also had howitzers and black operations grade training. Herbert Horror didn't care; he wanted to destroy the Flywishians and Xorai Clones completely, no matter the cost.

"First line, set up positions, perform a recon op, skirmish with the enemy and tell us what needs to be destroyed with our STINC -" Darktan II yelled.

"CHARGE! FULL SCALE ASSAULT!" Herbert roared.

"What? No, listen to me Horror" Darktan II ordered.

"I agree. If we charge now the Xorai Clones will spot us" Mectrixctic advised.

"YOU TWO, QUIET! MECT, YOU ARE THE SECOND IN COMMAND NOT THE GENERAL! DARKTAN II, YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A FOOTSOLDIER!" Herbert shouted. He roared out loud. Darktan II felt like vaporising the polar bear clone. However he was unaware that he was more powerful then Herbert and returned to his Dark Archon guard.

The army charged. Doom Knights could be seen sprinting while Mwas Mwas shuffled forward. It look like an avalanche rather then a professional army of evil. Just as Darktan II and Mect predicted, the Xorai Clones spotted them. They sent a horde of Pie Tanks, which were devastating weapons in the Great Darktonian Pie War against Darktan's Army.

"FIRE!" a clone ordered. OxiPie was fired at charging Darktonians. It had devastating effect, destroying a large portion of the front line. The Mwas Mwas were only a handful. Coool41 rushed forward and jumped on one of the tanks. His claws ripped through it and he stabbed a clone. The Painful Bears tipped a few tanks over and the Sludge Flingers did some damage by ruining the pies. Despite this the others were slaughtered. The tanks just kept on coming back.

Robo Gary fired lasers, deleting the tanks. An OxiPie suddenly came out of nowhere into his helmets.

"ERROR! ERROR! ERROR! WARNING: DAMAGE TO THE MEMORY CARD. RESTARTING" Robo Gary muffled. He then fell down.

"USELESS TIN CAN!" a clone laughed.

WitchyPenguin flew over the battlefield on her broomstick. She dropped a chunk of Snowzer Cheese B. The clones blown up almost straight away.

"HA HA HA HA HA! HA HA HA HA HA!" she cackled. Suddenly a clone flew out of nowhere, boarded her broomstick.

"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"

She fell to the ground. A STINC medic came to her.

"You ok?" he asked.

"Yeah... ahhhhhh!" she groaned. Her eyes closed.

"Oh my gosh! She's in a coma" the medic said.

Subchapter

Herbert Horror watched from the command post.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

WishFlyX waddled up to him.

"My clone brother..." he said.

"What?"

"He's commanding the forces from the battleground. Requesting permission to destroy him. May turn the tables".

"Do it!"

"I require an Icarus"

Subchapter

Flywish held a Snowball Gun. Waves of Darktonians overwhelmed him. However there would always be a clone who would stop them. Plus his powers could destroy them. Suddenly a squadron Icari flew above him. Three paratroopers were dropped and landed in front of him. Two were dressed in STINC paratrooper fatigues while the leader looked like his archenemy - WishFlyx.

"So... you came to the battle?" Flywish asked.

"Yeah... I came to destroy you" he yelled, charging at Flywish with an Ice Sword.

A Knicicle flied at WishFlyx. He dodged it and jumped up into the air. He slashed it into Flywish's head.

Luckily, it wasn't powerful. WishFlyx rolled onto the floor and took his time getting up. He thought that Flywish was knocked out. Suddenly Flywish rose up and took out a Tickle Laser. A flash fired straight at WishFlyx.

"HA HA HA! HA HA HA!" WishFlyx laughed out loud.

"CLONE! TAKE HIM AWAY" Flywish ordered. A clone flew down and picked WishFlyx up.

The STINC paratroopers were left. Before they could fire a shot, a Knicicle flew at one of them and a Tickle Laser strucked the other.

Flywish waddled back to the base. He done his bit and posted his army to man the Snowball Machine Guns. Meanwhile he'd meet Xorai at base and inform of what happened.

Watching every moment was Agent X. She sent a message on WishFlyx's Army SQUADCOM.

"This is Agent X. WishFlyx has been captured. Standard Protocol One; withdraw" she ordered. ===Subchapter

The WishFlyxians ran away. Although small, they were an elite unit and losing them damaged Herbert Horror's plans.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DARKTAN II, CHARGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Dude, you have anger issues" Mect said.

"We... are... losing. Of course I'm angry. Look, stay out of my way, take your useless army and lead Darktan's Dark Archons".

Darktan II heard the order. He didn't seem happy but he had to follow that order. Mectrixctic came up to him.

"Darktan, don't follow that order. He may think he's more powerful then you but you are more intelligent, powerful and stronger then him. However to enhance your powers and overthrow him listen to me" Mect whispered. She was concerned that Darktan would snitch that Mect was rebelling. But he didn't.

"What do I do?"

"You need an amulet to enhance your powers. That's why we came here. However Herbert Horror is turning this into a losing siege of a base".

"Tell me what to do!"

"We are breaking into the base. I'll prepare a strike team". Mect left and approached the other members of the Treacherous Trio.

"Time to rock and roll" Mect said.

Subchapter

The Icari flew above the base. Anti air missiles flew up, shooting a few down. Each Icari carried a member of Mectrixctic's Army present at the battle, plus the Troublesome Trio and STINC paratroopers. Meanwhile the Demon Penguins worked to find a portal. Teleportation into the base itself wouldn't work as it was teleportation shielded. Several Abyss Knight shapeshifted into skuas and flew along side the Icari. They jumped and activated their parachutes. The Abysses landed first as they weren't using parachutes but shapeshifting powers. Mect also used her Vampenguin powers to become a Focci and also landed first.

Once the army landed, they were met by Robotic Ninjas. They attempted a butterfly kick but they were taken down by STINC paratroopers.

"Right you n00bs, go capture the village" Mectrixctic ordered the STINC paras. They took no offence since every member was a n00b and they began an assault.

"Abyss Knights, capture the palace... go!"

They (the Knights) rushed to the palace. Laser fire and rocket could be heard.

Luka, Jake, Sally, Familiar and Foamy were left along with the Troublesome Trio. Familiar and Luka were armed with Deletion Lasers while Jake and Sally would use their Petguin aggression. Foamy didn't bring anything. All he could do is turn into a lavaball. Not much use and Mect knew that but bought him anyway. Maddieworld X also held a deletion laser while Bellina had her arm cannon. Mect had her powers and her Demon pitchfork.

"Wwe mwust get into headqwarters" Luka stated.

"But how... it's an eye scan to get in" Maddieworld X replied.

Darktan X floated from the sky and landed by the gang.

"So... now what?" he asked. Mectrixctic didn't listen to him. Instead she concentrated on MaddieX's question.

"Luka, Bellina, hack into the eye scan ASAP".

Subchapter

Flywish approached Xorai. He stood there laughing.

"The Darktonians will be slaughtered. Once I slaughter them I will slaughter the Imperials. Once the Imperials are slaughtered I will destroy Nightmare" he laughed.

"Xorai, we're winning the battle however a group of paratroopers are destroying both the village and the palace" Flywish stated.

"I don't care. Our clones will PWN them. Meanwhile I'll hide out here with you, Xara, Radal and Penelope". Said Xorai

"And me!" a voice echoed.

"What was that?" Xorai asked.

A white puffle ran in.

"SnowStorm... what are you doing n00b?" Flywish asked.

"HE'S NOT A N00B!" Xorai yelled.

"Wow, you are desperate for a friend".

"I'm here to help defend you from Mectrixctic, a squadron and a Darktan clone. They hacked your eye scan" SnowStorm replied.

"So... they need a clone of Darktan to fight their battles. Ha! It'll be easy" exclaimed Xorai. In all truth, he was petrified. He summoned Xara, Radal and Penelope O'vian. Just as they entered, Darktan II and Mectrixctic and his allies stormed the room. Xorai and his allies rushed upstairs along with everyone else except SnowStorm, who was left to fight the Darktonians.

"Right... err... what should I do?" SnowStorm asked. Foamy stepped up and turned himself into a lavaball. He thrusted himself at SnowStorm.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!" SnowStorm screamed. He rushed out of the HQ with his fur on fire. He attempted to use his ice powers to put out the flames but it was useless. Foamy wasn't finished; he chased SnowStorm, leaving the Treacherous Trio and the rest of Mectrixctic's Army. They climbed the stairs to the next floor. There, a group of 5 clones stood waiting. They looked more upgraded compared to the majority of Xorai clones. Rather then attacking, the stood their ground. Bellina shot a deletion laser at one of the clones. However it lifted a shield up and deflected the laser. It hit a power box and the lights went out. It was pitch black and none of them could see anything. Mectrixctic shot a firebolt and it hit the now damaged power box. This started a fire, lighting up the room.

"It's about to get hot - literally" Mectrixctic joked. The clones had disappeared, possibly cowering the floor upstairs. Bellina and Maddieworld X waddled forward, heading to the stairs. However they were taken down. The two clones appeared from no where and slammed them to the ground before turning invisible again.

"Twey hwave vanwishing powdwer" Luka stated.

"No - invisibility. They use stealth to their advantage" Mectrixctic replied.

Suddenly another clone took off his cloaking powers and attacked Jake and Sally. The two went on a rampage, randomly destroying anything in the room. However what looked like a wild rampage wasn't one. In fact the were chasing the cloaked figures. They tried to defend themselves but epicly failed. They had been bought to the ground.

"Jake smelt clones. Jake hunts prey" Jake said.

"Hisssssss! I sssssee cloaked figuressssss, I defend you" Sally said.

"Ohhhhhhhh... I get it. Jake used his incredible sense of smell and Sally used - err what?" Familiar said.

"Infrared vissssion" Sally simpily replied.

"What? Did you have eye surgery? Ahh, tell me late-ER" Familar said, just before Sally went in pursuit. Suddenly a clone went invisible again.

"Oh no! Not again! Sally, Jake, Familiar, stay here and fight the clones. The rest of us, upstairs... hang on wait" Mect said. She shot a laser at the staircase. A clone was hit by it and was deleted. The upstairs goers then rushed straight forward to the next floor where Flywish and [[Radal] awaited.

"Look! It's the Evil Fails Trio, the daughter of a snobby Emperor and I-Wanna-Be-Darktan!" Flywish chuckled.

"Yeah. And it's I-Wish-I-Could-Fly and Corai's Tail Licker" was Willie's comeback. Flywish was angry. He used a Ninja Kick on Willie Watt. It stunned her and she was knocked out. Bellina fired her cannon at Flywish but he held her in headlock. Radal used a Steam Flipper on Bellina causing a painful sting. However they were now distracted. Maddieworld X charged straight at them. She used the butt of the gun to take them down. Darktan II, who was unusually quiet for the duration of the mission, made a suggestion.

"We need to get Xorai Mect!" he suggested. Mect and Darktan II rushed up the stairs without Flywish or Radal noticing anything, leaving Flywish and Radal to fight Maddie, Willie and Bellina.

They went through several stairs until they reached the top floors where Xara and Xorai was waiting. Xara held the Darkness Amulets which she gave to Xorai who wore them like necklaces. The elements were Fear (made the opposing fear the wielder), Deletion (deletes the target), Oobleck (sends out a special fluid immobilizing the target), Guano (causes bowl problems for the target), Dark Lava (can control lava as long as it's at a lower temperature) and Aether (who knows what it's powers are?). This was it; Darktan II and Mectrixctic will fight Xorai for the amulets.

"Which one would you like Darktan II?" asked Mectrixctic.

"Deletion sounds nice" replied Darktan II.

"Let's do this!" Xorai exclaimed.

"I can't do this!" wailed Xara. She jumped off the building and activated a parachute.

"Wait, Xara!"

Mectrixctic walked up to Xorai. She pointed her pitchfork at him.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HERE, HAVE ALL OF THEM!" he screamed. He immediately flew off and threw the amulets at Mect.

Darktan II now had to choose. He picked up the Deletion Amulet and put it on.

A Xorai Clone flew over the horrizon. Darktan II gave it a go.

The Xorai Clone screamed as he fizzed up. Darktan II wasn't impressed. Then, he was the Amulet of Aether. A voice beckoned him on.

"Darktan... the power lies in Aether. You are Dartkan, not Darktan II. I can truely make you Darktan. Bear me, embrace me and I shall fight and protect you".

Darktan II put it on. It shown at the brightest he'd seen. Darktan II gave it a go.
