Myr, officially the Lysene Special Administrative Territory of Myr is a Lysene colony located in the southwest of Lys, near the northern coast of Snowiny. Originally, independent as one of the nine Free Cities, Myr was annexed by Lys in 2003. Today, Myr is a semi-autonomous prospering city that also serves as a defense to defend against attacks from the south.

History[edit]
Foundation[edit]
Myr, like with many of the other eight Free Cities, was established by the Penguin Empire as a trading post. Eventually, the trading post grew into a proper city. Thus, after the fall of the Penguin Empire around 450 AD, Myr had grown powerful and rich enough, and was able to declare independence, becoming one of the nine Free Cities.
Medieval Times[edit]
Because Myr had been built mainly to trade with the Asiapelago, the city-state developed an Asiapelagoan culture, and was also more diverse than most of the Free Cities in the medieval times. Myr continued to trade with the Asiapelago and Arcticana, present day Tropicalis.
Stepstones Confederation[edit]
Located between a contested zone fought over by the Ninja Archipelago, Asiapelago, and High Penguin Confederacy, around 1200, Lys, Myr, and Tyrosh joined together to found the Stepstones Confederation. With their combined strength, the alliance's influence stretched as far south as the southern Stepstones, or near the Osloven Empire. Thus, the alliance fought many wars against the empire, and because they were evenly matched, the wars mostly ended in a stalemate.
Khanzem[edit]
By Khanzem, the alliance had nearly fallen apart. Each country had grown powerful enough, and felt they no longer needed each other. In fact, the fall of the High Penguin Confederacy had removed a major threat. However, the alliance felt that the new nation, Khanzem, proved an even larger threat that the High Penguin Confederacy, and therefore the alliance was never disbanded. The Stepstones Confederation aided the Good Guys during the war.
Colonial Antarctica[edit]
In 1990, Myr, along with Tyrosh, was conquered by the Puffish during the brief Stepstones War. The Puffish failed to conquer Lys because of its defenses. Thus the Puffish signed a treaty with Lys, which left Lys alone, in exchange for Myr and Tyrosh being left alone. Myr and Tyrosh was added into the Province of Acadia a colony governed separately from Colonial Antarctica.
By 1999, the Province of Acadia, which had been granted special rights by Puffle'and saw most of its rights taken away over the years. When the Battles of Luckyton and Coconut took place in Penguin Town, the colonists in the province saw this as a sign, and started their own rebellions. Myr and Tyrosh quickly declared independence, and aided the rebels. At the end of the war, Myr and Tyrosh decided to join with Lys.
