Spot Clommers, known as One-Eye is a Dorkugese Penguin born in 1996 who was given laser eye powers due to being a MetaMutant. He and his family were in aplane crash, and he wasl the only survivor. Due to his brain injury, he has to use sunglasses to stop his laser eyes, as they never, ever stop.
Background[edit]
One-Eye was just an ordinary Dorkugese Penguin. He liked maths and nachos, got bullied by Jerks, preps and greasers alike, and spent most of his afternoon in a locker. His family was killed in a plane crash when he was young, and the accident left him with brain damage. It did not impair his intelligence or cognitive skills, so he didn't particularly care about it.
One day when he was 15 year old, the Jerks who shoved him in a locker at 3 o' clock in the afternoon broke from tradition, and got a bucket filled to the brink with sewage water and placed it on top of a door. Spot proceeded to come into the room when the putrid water spilled on top of him, and the jerks got a laugh. Spot was enraged and this activated his powers. Red lasers came out of his eyes, and blasted the Jerks across the room. However, he was unable to control it and it wouldn't stop. The Jerks ran away in fear while Spot walked around the city with his eyes closed and smelling like guano.
Spot was taken to a hospital and cleaned up. He was visited by Professor Carlo Xerxes who gave him his signature glasses and asked him to join his team. He told Spot that he was a MetaMutant, and that they should use their powers to help people.
Involvement[edit]
One-Eye is currently an amateur hero in Carlo Xerxes team. He is the leader of the field squad and gets along with his friends well. He is mature for his age, and managed to get into the Defenders at age 18 making him the youngest known member (SheZam is technically the youngest but nobody knows that).
Due to his condition, One-Eye has to wear sunglasses over his eyes when he isn't fighting, because if he took them off, more lasers would come out of his eyes until he puts the eye wear back on
