The Polarian Navy, or Polarian Naval Command is the naval warfare branch of the Polarian Armed Forces, and is one of the five armed forces branches, of which the Armed Forces are composed. The navy is among the largest within the Antarctic, boasting approximately 170 vessels, with the inclusion of several strategic combat aircraft, operated as a separately entity from the Polarian Air Force.
The Polarian Navy is stemmed from a branch of the Water Kingdom Navy, which had protected Polarian waters in the latter portion of the 20th century. The Polarian Navy is known to operate bases outside of the Federal Republic of Polaris, and is reknowned for a continent-wide presence, and the quick mobilization of the vessels into combat.
The Navy is maintained and administered by the Department of Defense, and is headed by the Minister of Defense, M.Z. Scott Green. The de facto Commander is President Nathaniel B. Kratz; however, the de jure Chief of Staff remains Mj. Gen. Henry S. Hagalle, who was appointed to his position in early 2012.
