The Polaris Debt Crisis is an upcoming and devastating financial disaster originating from the fact that Polaris was unable to refinance their ongoing debts, resulting in the severe downgrading of Polaris' credit rating, the bailing out of several financial institutions, mass unemployment and the downturn of stock markets. It is believed that Polaris' excessive spending on making their city 'perfect' was the main cause of the downgrading in credit rating. Others claim that the simultaneous bursting of the property bubble in Polaris, where the crisis originated from, was the worse hit, however the United States of Antarctica, Castilla and Snowzerland were also hit hard due to their heavy reliance on Polaris' economy, however all countries were damaged to a degree. Critics claim that the crisis could had been averted years ago if Polaris balanced the budget or the federal government themselves took action.
