Facilities[edit]
Terminal[edit]
The terminal building is quite small and is only one story high. There are four gates (1-4). None of them have jetways. Its main and only operator is Penguin Shops Air, offering daily services to and from Shops City. They also offer charter services. Inside the terminal, there's a coffee shop, along with a small duty-free store.
Eastern Shops Academy of Flight[edit]
The Eastern Shops Academy of Flight (ESAOF) gives penguins with little to no flying experience the opportunity to become a pilot with Penguin Shops Air, shopJet Cargo, or Freezestonian Air. Penguins in this 180-day course learn the basics on how to fly a general aviation plane, as well as experiencing flight simulators. In the end, penguins, if they pass, will receive a piloting license. The airlines continue training from there.
Penguin City Plane Shoppe[edit]
Though the airport is technically located in San Vancelton, the Penguin City Plane Shoppe is a shop that sells planes. That's self explanatory. General aviation aircraft new and old are sold, and pilots can even make "test flights" before purchasing a new plane.
Traffic and Statistics[edit]
Since most from San Vancelton use Penguin City Airport, this airport only serves one scheduled flight per day. That's the daily Penguin Air flight between this airport and Shops City. However, as mentioned earlier, San Vancelton Regional Airport, not being infested with jetliners, is extremely popular with general aviation. Around 217 planes are based in SVR, all of which are private aircraft. As of 2015, the airport oversees 68 flights per day, which equates to around 25,000 flights per year.
