It follows the lives of the airport staff at New Club Penguin International Airport and primarily three airlines (although sometimes they include other airlines); low-fare and Terrian flag carrier UTA, premium and rival AirTerra and major airline SkyJet Airways. It records all year round and released their episodes in the Summer and Winter. It has been commissioned to make five more series by TBC. A spinoff called SkyAlliance: South Pole Metropolitan has been released which shows South Pole-Metropolitan rather then New Club Penguin and SkyAlliance: Passport to Backstage, which shows behind-the-scenes to SkyAlliance.

Production[edit]
Sancho Monte Captio wished to increase the publicity of airport life and use it as a way to finance SkyAlliance. He created a group through SkyAlliance called SkyAlliance Media Company and attempted to pitch his ideas to TV networks. However it failed for all companies in the USA. Sancho choose to turn to UnitedTerra's TBC who took the idea surprisingly in late 2007. Sancho chose the name SkyAlliance and selected New Club Penguin International Airport to be filmed along with crew members from AirTerra, UTA and SkyJet Airways. They requested for it to be run for one season. Filming began in early Spring and finished in late Summer. It was broadcast during January on TBC 4, the main documentry channel. Reviews were largely positive and it was commisoned to make 9 more seasons. It's slots were moved from TBC 4 to TBC 2. Channel abroad also requested rights to broadcast it; Pengydeen and RTF recieved this right. Several other airlines were allowed to be filmed although the three originals remained the main.
