The Speed Propeller was an improved version of the Propeller Cap, which allows the wearer to fly up to 110 miles per hour. They've been advertised like a car you can wear on your head, and there have been a few races with penguins wearing Speed Propellers. However, they were banned on Club Penguin due to people going too fast with them and crashing into each other, but some members still have their Speed Propeller making them a rare item. The fastest time taken to get to a place using the Speed Propeller was from the Lighthouse to the Dojo, which took only 5 seconds without a map. Speed Propellers were manufactured in Ternville and given out at Club Penguin's annual April Fools parties.

Speed Propellers have gone through numerous changes over the short years they were available.
Prototype[edit]
The first ever Speed Propeller was designed to be a lightweight hat capable of flying great lengths. Solar power was used to provide electricity to the headgear, and the rotor was replaced with a lighter, more efficient one. A motor was added to give it extra power, however the drawback from this was that there wasn't enough solar energy to power the Speed Propeller efficiently, as there is only six months of sunshine in Antarctica and the other six months are night. The original Speed Propeller did not fly very far either, so there needed to be another way to fly further. The prototype was an orange propeller hat which had flames on the cover, presumably because they are speed flames, and make the propeller go faster. However, this still wasn't enough to make the Speed Propeller fly faster. It was actually nicknamed the "Slow Propeller" at one stage because compared to a normal propeller hat it wasn't able to keep up due to the copious amount of solar energy it required. The solution was to add rockets to the propeller hat, however because the rockets ran on petrol and there was only a small petrol tank in the revised Speed Propeller the Speed Propeller could only fly for a certain amount of time.
