For your information, Beru is NOT a country. It is a colony. And so are ALL the other Spanish Speaking islands on this wiki. (with the exception of the Mavericks, if they're even considered to be Spanish speaking...) --User:Swiss Ninja (My Talk Page) 03:52, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Ed Island Overpoweredness and Penguin Rights Abuses
I believe it's about time somebody brought up Ed Island and the hypocrisy of EDFan12345 and the administrators to be ganging up on Acadia in the Achadia Crisis while at the same time tolerating Ed Island.
Ed Island is an extremely OP country. While it is not a Mary Sue (I personally would disagree - the administrators require that, in order for a country to be Mary Sue, it must have NO flaws at all, but in my opinion it is indeed a Mary Sue), it is still overwhelmingly flawless to the point of absurdity - check this out: Ed Island is not only technologically one of the most powerful countries in Antarctica, but ALSO one of the most MILITARILY powerful countries AND economically powerful countries. If you ask me, this is absurd. Is EDFan immune to the rules against overly powerful country?
Not only that, but Ed Island is also horrible on its penguin rights record and it's a totalitarian dictatorship (you can read the article for yourself and see - IIRC it doesn't even have a high penguin population anymore because they wiped them all out or they left because of the pressure). A few months ago, the administrators bullied Brant, gave him a very depressing and bad time (to the point of him being on the brink of falling apart IRL, because he felt alienated and targeted by everybody - not because of this wiki alone and because of this one stupid character, but because of other personal issues as well that he faced that I cannot talk about too much, you can ask him if he wants to talk about it) over nothing more than Esser arresting a not-so significant penguin who promoted hate speech (which Chill later retconned, against the policy). They then promoted the lie that people who come to Acadia would be 'shot on arrival', and used that and other similar jokes to promote Acadia as some authoritarian dictatorship - while Esser is authoritarian, the country still wasn't entirely that close to being a dictatorship as the administrators promoted.
Whatever you think about the Achadia Crisis and whether it was justified, and whether Acadia should democratize, it is still unfair that the people who /created/ that crisis and /demanded/ he democratize are themselves undemocratic and themselves violating the rights of penguins inside their own countries. For example, it's not just Ed Island - Shops Island has extremely restrictive immigration restrictions, to the point of outright racism and discrimination against the disabled. Not only all this, but Ed Island also has SECRET NUCLEAR WEAPONS, which it has somehow managed to hide from the UAN - and the admins, at the same time, said other countries can't make new nuclear weapons either.
I wanted to point out this hypocrisy and have some change done. I really don't want anything radical, and I am in favor of users being in charge of their own countries and ruling it as they see fit (with consequences, of course, depending on how authoritarian they are) - Ed Island doesn't have to suddenly democratize 'as revenge for the Achadia Crisis' - we're not that kind of people. But both Brant and I agreed that Ed Island must become less restrictive towards high penguins and the administration less hypocritical, while at the same time, while Ed Island can retain its authoritarianism, it must face constant questioning about it, particularly before the UAN, where proposals to pressure Ed Island should be proposed and possibly sometimes come into effect. That is the least we could do.
- u mad, bro?
