Talk:Honest Julian's Radio Hour
Wikileaks founder parody?--Sir Kwiksilver of TARDIS-Ninjas can't catch you if you're on fire. 09:51, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- OH LAWD NO. The WikiLeaks Founder Parody to come is a villain. --† TurtleShroom™! Jesus Loves You and Died for You!! † :) :) You know, until I came along, this was just a one-llama town. † † THERE'S NO STOP-OLIS. ――–――――― 12:57, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? WikiLeaks is awesome. I can't believe that the founder of WikiLeaks raped someone. Ok, the Swedes trial him for that but then INTERPOL. The international police force? It's obviously an American set up!
- The founder of WikiLeaks isn't a villain. We love him in the UK for releasing a list members of the Big Nazi Party.--Agent Johnson | You... 13:28, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, but releasing documents that were classified for good reason willy-nilly isn't exactly squeaky-clean. Yours Truly, Explorer 767 (I'LL SMASH IT WITH A HAMMAH!) View this template 13:45, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah but the media need crap to talk about. And so do us.--Agent Johnson | You... 14:33, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

- "We love him in the UK"? What? As far as I know, BBC had like, this whole report about the villiany of this site. I hear if you go there, your IP gets tracked and you get in big trouble or something. --Metalmanager 14:35, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Not true. I go there millions of time and never been tracked.--Agent Johnson | You... 14:47, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

- I agree when I hear that. The rape case was probably planted so that they can get him in a court to nail him for his real crimes. It was a dirty trick, but that man MUST meet justice. Personally, I just wish they'd say "espionage" and extradite him to the States for REAL JUSTICE. I actually wrote a book on how he could be tried for Treason (he meets all the requirements) and therefore put to death.
- Also, I'm not mad at him for leaking Climate Gate, or the BNP members, and I can forgive the leaks. What makes me want him on Death Row is that he had the AUDACITY to DARE leak secrets of THE UNITED STATES MILITARY, IN WAR TIME, WITH THE NAMES OF INFORMANTS. (He forgot to cut a few names out, and now the Taliban wants their head, literally!) You don't leak the military, EVER. You can leak the civillian government and corporations till the ding-dong break of day, but if you DARE mess with our soldiers, you built your own gallows, to metaphorically speak.
- The only time the documents need leaking is IN PEACE TIME, DECADES AFTER THE WAR. I am mad at Julian Assange soely for sticking his big man hands in our armed forces. I never question our soldiers. I question the war, I question the motive, and I'll even question the orders, but I do not and never will question our soldiers, for they are heroes and noble men that die for my country. YOU. DO. NOT. MESS. WITH. SOLDIERS. (Bradley Manning, the gay Private First Class that helped Assange, is detained and faces fifty two years or more of prison. He is rumored to have leaked the data to get revenge for DADT. Did I mention he's gay? I warned everyone about DADT. Now I laugh. *cue idiotic sounding laugh*)
- There is a fine line between Freedom of Information and national security.
- I want a life sentence before Iceland does anything stupid. (Amnesty rumors are everywhere. Iceland seeks to be a leaker's refuge.)

- WikiLeaks wasn't responsible for Bradley Manning's capture:

- Manning allegedly told former hacker Adrian Lamo via instant messaging that he had leaked the "Collateral Murder" video of the July 12, 2007, Baghdad airstrike in addition to a video of the Granai airstrike and around 260,000 diplomatic cables, to the whistleblower website Wikileaks.[5][6] Lamo turned over the purported instant messenger chat logs to U.S. investigators (calling it an "act of conscience"[5][6]), who began searching for evidence to determine whether Manning's apparent statements to Lamo were true.
- Source: Wikipedia.
- Ethan McCord isn't affiliated with WikiLeaks at all, he just stated his views and WikiLeaks grabbed the video. Ethan hasn't be arrested.
- And so what if Bradley's gay? He's a human being.--Agent Johnson | You... 14:47, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- PS: On a further, unrelated notice, check the sitenotice and vote.
- Bradley is a human being that betrayed his company and his fellow soldiers. A soldier is supposed to be loyal, and here he goes releasing all sorts of secrets about our military's actions. He deserves all the jail he's getting, and I think fifty two years should just be for that video. A soldier that defies his fellow men isn't a soldier, he's an evil being. --† TurtleShroom™! Why are we talking about Wikileaks, anyway? Shouldn't this go on Honest Julian's Radio Hour (ask TS)? Yours Truly, Explorer 767 (I'LL SMASH IT WITH A HAMMAH!) View this template 18:30, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
Go Wikileaks! Down with the BNP! The government is trying to hush Assange up, but that's against freedom of speech! And this rape charge crap is a smear campaign. You can't believe everything just because BBC or Fox News says so!
-- Triskelle3 Athshealbhaígí an Phoblacht! Reclaim the Republic! 18:27, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- Can't have a discussion without bashing Fox News!
- The rape charge doesn't even seem to exist, from what I can gather. If they planted it, then good for them. This man needs to be jailed for betraying my country, and really, I don't care how they do it. Every politically active member of my family wants him taken out. Why not pull the 1950s and make him disappear? If it isn't a life sentance, it's not enough. You can leak the civillian government and corporations till the ding-dong break of day, but if you DARE mess with our soldiers, you built your own gallows, to metaphorically speak.
- I am angry at him for humiliating and throwing our military wide open. What about the Iraqi informants whose name was leaked What about the leaked documents discussing them wiretapping conversations between Osama Bin Laden's mother (confirmed) and an Al-Qaeda goon rumored to be Bin Laden himself (not proven yet)? We won't be using THAT tap any more, thanks to your "hero".
- If this wasn't a military issue, I might congratulate him for transparency, but not so with this. With this, I am appalled. I want justice, and by justice, I mean a life sentence. These are our soldiers, and they are giving their lives for our freedom. There is a balance between free speech and secrecy. The military is entitled to secrecy; they need it to protect us all.
- Besides, why won't he disclose his own secrets? Do we know where his money comes from? Who else is getting this data (there's one from "inside BP" and another in "a big bank"), and what is his real agenda? If he's so pure and noble, why don't we know his own past. He should leak himself, too.

As for the actual article[edit]
So let's propose here.
I suggest that:
- When he was a child, his parents were constantly lieing and being secretive, thus leaving him with a quest for the truth and then sharing that knowledge.
- When leaking documents, he DOES respect anonymity, stating that it is a right everyone should have as well truth.
- He has no desire to sabotage, but rather tell the people so that they know what is going on.
- He's leaked:
- A list of members of Khanzem's Fourth Reich
- A list of where Herbert has teleported (actually useful for civilians to help)
- Add some
--refractor this is a thing<staff /> 10:27, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
- I strongly disagree that the WikiLeaks leader should be depicted as a hero in any way. HOWEVER, I agree that Honest Julian's Radio Hour shouldn't only (illegally) leak evil/dirty secrets.
- I agree, therefore, that he should leak some good things (like the Fourth Reich's members), and things from inside Holyberden (like the PMCs and such), but as I said, this man is a bad man, and I can't allow something that has so detrimentally shaken my homeland to be a good guy.

Sure wikileaks isn't really offering too much beyond what people already know. The location of nuclear sites and railway crossings in Canada isn't a secret. Much of the internal diplomatic stuff has already been leaked to the media one way or another; we know the U.S. isn't happy about how Afghanistan is going; and we all know the Saudi's were trying to urge the U.S. (even Israel) to attack Iran. We knew all this before the "leaks". We even knew that U.S. soldiers have been too trigger happy with the RoE and civilians even before the Apache video came out ... I really don't see why all the fuss. So far there has been nothing shown that could not be found with the internet. Any in-house comments have just proved to be embarassing for those involved. And that is why you should never record/write/film what you don't want others to see.

- Triskelle, it does not matter at all that we already assumed that most of what he leaked was true, and now we have concrete evidence to back up our long-standing beliefs. What matters is that Julian and his cronies had the audacity to violate the sanctity of American military. I'm not against the location of railroads or nuclear power plants, and I actually approve of disclosing the BNP's roster. However, when you mess with soldiers, that angers me.
- The fact that he illegally leaked military information is reason for him to be jailed until he dies. You never mess with the military, especially during a time of war. Go ahead and dump the civillian government's data. They need a good window knocked in there. HOWEVER, the military has a right to be secret and act as it does to protect my country. In my homeland, we depend greatly on our military to stay secure. Our country is one of the most powerful on the earth (I think China's winning there, now), and we all know that people want to take it out.

- P.S.: How did a BNP goon get into the EU Continental Parliament, but not into Britain's real parliament? Is it somehow easier to get into the Parliament of All of Europe than into a real government?
- P.S.S.: The EU has always been a weird item in my eyes. It seems to be an unnecessary new level of government bureaucracy that greatly harms the sovereignity of its members. A ruling in Britain could effect Greece now, if it climbs to supranational courts. Is Britain Greece? NO! (...-and don't get me started on the concept of the (two?! three?!) Presidents of Europe. I mean, give them a staff with a Europe-shaped staff on top. Executive power over a continent is too much power, even for me.)
- The British system is 'first one past the post'. Although a party may recieve a lot of votes, it's the amount of votes in an area that gets you the seat. For instance, the United Kingdom Independent Party recieved the fourth most votes in the general election yet didn't get a seat since it is the most votes in an area. Then there's the Liberal Democrats; it is the same thing.
- Europe is different. I don't know how Nick Griffin got a seat. However he got the seat, I know there are a lot of racists in the UK.
- I don't think that WikiLeaks should be portrayed as villains but as neutrals. Also the view depends; for you it would be evil, for me it would good.--Agent Johnson | You... 23:40, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
