  • There WILL be a time that I will permit writing the Polarian SAD Amendment. There WILL be a time that I will grant Polaris more autonomy. There WILL be a time when a Polarian Special Administrative Disctrict. Now let it be known: The more you attempt to do it without my Amendment, the longer I will postpone the permit to split. Sancho, you keep whining about me making Polaris more dishonest, villanious, and corrupt. That's because I'm balancing the bloated, nauseating Mary Sue that you churn out each time you write Polaris. Your continued attempts to secede Polareis without my guidance and counterweights to balance the overblown Mary Sue of a city will result in further action. If push comes to shove, I can and will resort to more drastic measures to forbid you from acting on this path without my assent. Lay off the secession, and I will reward you with the SAD Amendment I promised. Continue, and there will be consequences. That is all. -- TurtleShroom! Honestly, I really don't like how you keep making Polaris look bad. You make a good city seem like the most evil in the world. It's because your aversion to liberal values, of course. You use this as a proxy to support your "conservative" ideals. Say for example Polaris was an aircraft carrier. Would you make the anchor lighter or heavier than the ship? The answer is almost obvious. The anchor I'm talking about are the bad things. You're making it too heavy, too extreme. Mattress Village is not so extreme. Again: AVERSION TO LIBERAL VALUES". By now, Polaris will become a Titanic.

Also, I don't like it how you're a bit hypocritical when it comes to my ideas. You say, that you make it so extremely corrupt as it is mere fiction. However, when I proposed that Polaris uses a military, you responded with: "Oh, morals, balh, blah, blah RL US FEDERAL LAW THAT REALLY DOES NOT APPLY HERE." This is Antarctica, cities can use military forces, as it is PURE FICTION. But, why interject your right-wing politics into this? I really want Polaris to have a military force to be reckoned with. Yet, you block that.

That leads me to another point. Why intervene with Polaris? Why spill your dirty motor oil all over it? I mean, I don't intervene with Mattress Village and you seem to use Polaris for scandals. AGAIN:THIS IS YOUR AVERSION TO LIBERAL VALUES AT WORK. -- Sanchonachos Republicans:Stop Whining. 02:21, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Sancho:

Now then...
I'm not writing Corruption in Polaris because of some deep-rooted hatred for liberal politics. There isn't some byzantine conspiracy involving me attempting to devalue your beliefs or belittle you or Canada. If you want to compare Mattres Village and Polaris, let me say that I have NEVER tried to depict it as Heaven on the earth, or as some beautiful plastic, shallow utopia of glory and universal happiness. I openly make reference to the lack of education in the city and to its overblown, xenophobic position towards tourists. For goodness' sakes, Aunt Agatha lives there!!

Unlike you and your Mary Sue city, I don't try and make Mattress Village a perfect little happy land whose mega-wealthy population has absolutely nothing wrong with them or no hint of vice. I don't paint MV's politics as a civil, happy time of bipartisan merriment and cooperation. Mattress Village Board of Censors has the opposite effect of the PCC. They are pure at the expense of actualy doing anything. They may not be corrupt, but they are bitter to each other and so zealous and unyielding that they only pass smething when they are of one mind.

Mattress Village is plagued with rumrunning and speakeasies, it has an inefrfective police force, and it relies on vigilante volunteers to keep it safe enough for penguins to live in. A spastic mob goes out in the night and blows up things like Cream Soda. You can get a day of community service for saying "crap", and the old geezers in the government are not willing to EVER give up their power until they drop dead.

Take the tinfoil of your head and quit thinking I'm out to get you. If I was out to get you, believe me: you'd know. You can't have it all, Sancho. Mattress Village, in and of itself, is not a world power. It can't even afford a police force because its taxes are low and its budget balanced. The city is mainly xenophobic farmers and sall-town businessmen, and those that aren't are crazy nuts that aren't even always penguins.

I don't glorify Mattress Village like you do. I paint it for what I think it is. Pure, but insane. Friendly to those it trusts, judgemental to the rest. A good place for a family that thinks like they do, a nightmare for someone like Sancho. ...-and all they have for educaton is a library and a one-room schoolhouse. Their health is a pharmacy and hours' worth of travel to a hospital. Their tourism is tinfoil wearing weirdos and normal people on a dare.

Mattress Vilage and Polaris are different. I don't make Mattress Village a perfect Mary Sue. I point out its flaws and exploit them. I BALANCE the good and the bad to make a gret read. The reason I'm so involved in Polaris and why I "slather motor oil" on it is because of the dual reasons that I (one) love the concept and (two) I am BALANCING the Mary Sue.

You keep piling on all of this good without any bad to offset it. That creates a Mary Sue. I, therefore, created a means of BALANCE that did not DIRECTLY interfere with what you created. Here's the example: Polaris still wins crime-free awards, because these awards point to VIOLENT crime, like murder and theft; Polaris does not have these things.

...-and to answer the anchor question...
It is not the weight of the anchor that truly matters. It's the SHAPE. An anchor is shaped so that when it is dropped, it digs into the sand or sefloor and snags. That stops the boat from drifting away.

Now stop whining, stop being paranoid, and let me enjoy my vacation and my computing time therein in a means that I actually WANT to do. Rebuting you makes me sleepy and ticked off. I go away for ONE WEEK, and something goes wrong.
