The CP Factor (Season 3)
The third season of The CP Factor was confirmed on December 24, 2015. Sam Rudi confirmed his return as a judge the same day as well as Meaghan. Dancing Penguin confirmed his return to the judging panel almost a month before on November 25th. Cadence announced her departure from the series after Season 2 on the second live show of that season. After weeks of speculation, Andrew Gonzalez was confirmed as Cadence's replacement. The season aired on Penguin TV on June 11, 2016. Ashley Longfellow won the show against Sam Norris on October 23rd with 51.6% of the vote.

Live Shows[edit]
The live shows began on August 13, 2016. Each week's song choice follow a particular theme. Each contestant performs on Saturday while eliminations and guest performances take place on Sunday. The results are announced on Sunday, with the bottom two contestants being announced and then judges choosing which of the two to eliminate after the contestants perform another song of their choice (the final showdown). If the judges' votes are tied, the vote goes to deadlock and the contestant with the fewest viewer votes is eliminated. The results show features a group performance by the remaining contestants and guest live performances. Each results show featured musical performances from at least one artist, while occasionally, artists performed on the main performances show.

Judges' votes to eliminate
- Gonzalez: Rough Road, because he was mulling over The Difference or Rough Road but he thought The Difference had a better chance of succeeding in the music industry.
- Meaghan: Jost, thought that his star quality wasn't even showing in him.
- Rudi: Kit, based off of her "lousy" performances.
- Dancing Penguin: Oxipie Sniper, because he hated his perfomance in general.
On August 10th, Sam Rudi confirmed on Chitter that there would be a twist for the first live show that the contestants would have to be prepared for. The surprise was revealed at the start of the first live show it is up to not the popular vote but to the mentors to eliminate one act for each mentor (Which makes 4 acts eliminated each episode.). It was the possibility why there were 20 contestants instead of 16.

On August 15th, the day after the surprise twist eliminations, Kermit O'Riley announced on Good Morning Club Penguin that the second live show would be another quadruple elimination except this time, the act who had received the fewest public votes from each category would be leaving the competition.

- Rudi: Velvet, said that both performances in the sing-off were mediocre but said that he'd like to see Kings of Arctic again.
With both acts receiving two votes each, the vote was deadlocked and reverted to the earlier public vote. Velvet was eliminated as the act with the fewest public votes.

- Rudi was not required to vote as there was already a majority but refused to say who he would have eliminated as he was the mentor for both acts.
Even though Anderson was already eliminated, O'Riley revealed that if the vote had went to deadlock, Anderson would still have been eliminated as he had received fewer public votes than Jacobs.

- Two acts were eliminated from the series fifth results show. The three acts with the fewest public votes were announced as the bottom three and then the act with the fewest votes was automatically eliminated. The remaining two acts then performed in the final showdown and faced the judges' votes.
