The Infinite Engine is an Aura Engine rumored to be located underground in Munijoch's Mt. Graxxar, kept away only for government use. The WhiteBloods used it briefly to power Victor Malkov back to life. Little is known regarding the history of the engine, other than the fact of it's age, it's story on it's moving, and it's power source currently being used.

Background[edit]

Little is known on the engine's properties, as it is still being researched. It is suggested, however, that the WhiteBloods have full knowledge on it.

From Misted Beginnings[edit]

The Infinite Engine was built in a now-submerged area of Munijoch known then as The Descent of Madness (now Budeson Trench). Originally, four power beacons with gems suggested to be an early form or a similar form of Porcyal fed beams of it's energy into the main crystal, causing it to rotate rapidly. A beam of light and energy would subsequently shoot out of the flat surface of the crystal above, then power the crystals on either four sides. This could be classified as an almost-perpetual motion machine, as the crystals would eventually run out of energy stored, and had to be replaced.

Evidence has been shown that the Hondir Idol Aeroxx flew to the island in search of an Infinite power source to save his people. Having heard rumors about an engine that turns day into night and grants power in unprecedented amounts, he visited the island on which it was located in. Upon arrival, he saw many "smaller, lesser penguins that had no evident system of order" in their society. Easily conquering them, he went to the engine, and found that there was a single crystal there surrounded by 4 beacons of the same crystal. With all his might, he sliced the beacons down and leaped down on the center crystal, shattering it upon impact.

A halo and energy shockwave enveloped Aeroxx, surrounding him with electric beams coursing his body up and around him. His eyes glowed red as sheer force and will combined with the raw energy of the Infinite Engine. At last, an unearthly scream was heard as the Engine seized, and Aeroxx fell to the ground, only to rise, glowing with magma-like markings on him. He had armor fused to his skin, but it radiated brightly as he walked away, skin sizzling, eyes burning, and resolve undying to save his people.

After the attack and conquering, the natives decided to embrace it themselves, only to fail miserably. The finally decided to do something with it, and there has been evidence pointing to a power grid system in place for early natives living there as well, as pipes that serve almost no apparent purpose reside there. For about 100 years, the Engine resided there, however, a mysterious force not known at the time suddenly moved it.

Tribal Use[edit]

The next known location of The Infinite Engine was in a temple now known as Hit'kluatan, near Rio De Vatica. First unearthed on the grounds of the Hortuca People, they built a temple around it to protect themselves from it, thinking it to be from the future. Later, they decided to power it with crystals similar to the Engine's giant crystal, and thus, it was reborn.

A relatively simple structure was inside, as it was a hollow temple with the Engine inside. No known connectors to the outside are known to have existed. The only difference, however, was that the beam was being channeled through a hole in the top of the temple purposely. Why this is the case is unknown, as the beam serves no purpose as of currently known. Another detail was that the crystals were now in a kite-diamond shape being channeled from four corners of the temple attached to walls into the crystal.

For the next 500 years, The Infinite Engine resided there, countless tribes and peoples using it's mysterious power to seemingly cure people without a catch. Then, a force officially known came to play after this period of seemingly perpetual worship.

Colonial Usage[edit]

When the first people came to Munijoch to found the colonies, they came across the Engine, abandoned, yet still humming softly. Rather than investigate, they decided to place the Engine in a nearby cave, away from them, in order to expand. This cave collapsed about 4 years later and became forgotten by them. During this time, the Engine became silent, and it's power fell in grace.

This is known commonly as the Silent Period, as no Infinite Humming was ever received from the Engine.

WhiteBlood Usage[edit]

The WhiteBloods, when they took over, recovered the engine for their personal use and revival of Victor Malkov to lead them back to reclaim Munijoch. During this time, penguins reported "a bright, purple-white light shining through the top of Mt. Graxxar, where the time seemed to seemingly shift endlessly from night to day when the hours are opposite of each other."

It is believed that the engine made their scientists smarter, and thus led them to conquer, devise, and obstruct the well-being of the countries it took over.

Present Day Usage[edit]

Nowadays, the Engine is kept on a semi-on state, humming gently as energy is being evaluated for more humane usage in Munijoch. The President made numerous visits to the Engine himself in order to evaluate, sense, and possibly get a better understanding of the engine. Agents, also, periodically enter to test out the properties of the engine themselves.

Known Effects[edit]

Time Altering[edit]

When entering the chamber of the Engine, time is reported to slow down or speed up. Multiple times, what seems like five minutes can take a day, or you can go backwards in time, sometimes to when you just enter, and the person will have no recollection of it.

Gravitational Disruption[edit]

The Engine is known to evoke disruption of gravity on numerous levels, including levitating objects seemingly without even being turned on, or making the weight heavy on the agent inside. This furthers proof for Munijoch that the engine is not something from the world, but extra-terrestrial.

Powers[edit]

Healing[edit]

When activated and presented with a person and/or lost one, the Engine will begin to levitate them. Electricity will crackle as the central gem span faster and faster. Once at it's maximum rotation, the person will be jolted with a purple electric shock and be revived to full health. Following this, the Engine will die down to normal rotation and be unresponsive for about 1 minute.

Power Giving[edit]

When presented with one Porcyal crystal, the machine will levitate the crystal in the air and absorb it into it's central crystal. Then, a dark purple beam will shoot out and zap the offer giver with a set of powers. These powers were usually levitation, electric bolts, flame throwing, and limited invulnerability. More than one offer would increase the power of the powers. These would wear off after one to four years.

Prediction of the Future[edit]

When approached with a book filled with runes and blank pages, the Engine will hum and zap the book, burning the pages with purple predictions. Such of them include:

  • "THE PROSPERITY OF ALL SHALL BE PUT IN THE HANDS OF THE SUFFERER."
  • "THOSE WHO FIGHT AUTHORITY ONLY FIGHT THEMSELVES WITH LIFE."

The Engine would then hum back down to near silence.

Intellect Granting[edit]

When approaching the Infinite Engine with 3 power crystals, the Engine will rotate them into a vortex, consume them, and zap the penguin in the head. The penguin will then glow purple like the engine and most likely faint onto the floor. About 3.14 hours later, they will wake up, dazed, yet have proven to solve Calculus problems about 50% easier and at a 58% higher correct rate than non-zapped penguins.

Trivia[edit]

  • There is rumored to be more than one of these Engines either in Munijoch or across Antarctica, but this has not been confirmed.
  • An Engine has never been destroyed, as tests made to self-destruct it resulted in a void-rip opening, consuming the explosion and having the Engine blasts a particle beam into space.
  • No attempts to steal the crystals have ever been made, according to historical records.
  • The Engine can be compared to a nuclear reactor, however, no by product (other than light) has been produced.
  • They have called it The Infinite Engine because it has been theorized that when left alone, it will be active for almost an infinite amount of years.
