Chapter One: The Beginnings of a Friendship of the End of a Reign[edit]
It was a nice, clear and sunny day in Munijoch, but that's not where we are starting, oh no. We begin our journey at the Antarctic Delegate meeting center with Felipenas's ambassador, Maria Santiago, and Munijoch's, Joseph Yslenski. They do not know this yet, but what turns out to be a simple meeting will turn into the adventure of a lifetime.
It was on that day that Joseph brought his little brother, Zector Yslenski, "ambassador" of Zescore, over to train in forming relations with other states. Being secluded, we can tell how this went down.
"Hey guys!" Zector said, stretching out a hand.
Maria pulled out a weapon. "Who are you supposed to be. State your business."
Zector looked back, wondering what to do. "I-uh-erm..." He pulled out a bazooka. "I represent the Armed Republic of Zescore. Drop your weapon and no one will get hurt."
Everyone was in shock and disbelief that a nation so new to the delegate meeting could just pull a stunt like that and get away with it. The worst part being that no one, other than Maria, was trying to stop him. Now, however, Joseph steps in.
"Calm brother! Place down the rocket launcher!" Joseph yells, bringing up a sub-machine gun. "We don't like or want violence."
Suddenly, Maria fires a warning shot at Zector, and all hell breaks loose.
"FOR ZESCOREEEEEE!!!!" shrieked Zector, and he fired several rockets at Maria, all of which miss, but some hit the ground, sending debris everywhere.
"Not so fast!" yelled Joseph, firing a shot at Zector. Direct hit.
Zector is hit in the chest, but that doesn't stop him, as he's out for blood. "You too?!" he yelled and he fired multiple rockets.
"N-no!" Maria yells as she runs to Joseph. Joseph dodges it, and he catches Maria just as she trips on some debris.
"Name's Joseph Yslenski," he said as he looks at her. He cannot forget those chocolate brown eyes, and the face as well.
"Maria. Maria Santiago, delegate of Felipenas." she replied back. There's something about him she can't shake off.
"You are badly hurt, I'm taking you to the Munijoch regional hospital." said Joseph as he is carrying Maria to a dispatch helicopter. He isn't letting anyone die here.
As he walked to the helicopter, Zector walked to a fighter jet plane and flies back to Zescore, a smug look on his face. This means war, Joseph thought. He had an agenda he had to take care of, as no Munijochian would let someone as smug as him walk away with injuring someone's life.
When they arrived at the hospital, Joseph had Maria placed in a bed, urgent care. She was in bad condition.
"You look extremely bad, Maria. Are you sure you do not want the Medigun treatment?" asked Joseph. He was concerned for the woman's life.
"N-no, I'm fine. I'll heal, don't be concerned about me." she replied back. She was struggling to speak.
"Maria, you look really bad, please, let me beam it..." Joseph pleaded.
"F-fine." Maria managed to reply.
Joseph fires a beam of light, plasma and some other ingredients, tinged a bright red toward's Maria's chest. The wound is patched up, and the skin begins to close up along the wound. Joseph is happy that it worked okay.
"W-w-what happened?" Maria asked, looking down at her now okay wound.
"Science is what happened. You were healed." replied Joseph, putting away the Medigun. He gave Maria some morphine for any pain left.
"I can't repay you enough, thank you Joseph." she replied back, taking a dose of Morphine.
"Anytime Maria, anything for an ally. Say, I think it's time we give Zector a visit, no?" he began to notion, giving Maria a boost up from the hospital bed.
"I want to kill that 'Ambassador.' He needs a lesson in how to behave." said Maria, clenching her fist.
"Perhaps not kill—he's my brother after all. Just maybe, pay back?" said Joseph, careful not to anger her.
"That will work." simply said Maria.
The two began to head to the helipad to a COBRA helicopter, thinking about ways to get back at Zector. Joseph began to have a feeling towards Maria, but he could not place a finger on it. He was raised alone most of his life, so he has yet to find out what these feelings are towards her. Maria, on the other hand, doesn't see anything in him other than a delegate from Munijoch.
What happens next shall change those feelings.
Chapter Two: Strange Feelings[edit]
The COBRA lands in Zescore and the two hop off.
"Your brother has a rather large mansion..." said Maria as she looked at the large mansion on a hill.
"Indeed." replied Joseph.
The two walk in to find Joseph's brother, Zector.
"Ah, hello brother." said Zector. He looked a bit boozed. He noticed the girl behind him. "OY IT'S THAT FELIPENA WOMAN!"
"Right you are." said Maria, who crossed her flippers across her chest.
He jumps out of his seat with a start and holds his fist up. Joseph quickly aims his pistol at him.
"I'll kill you a- what the heck brother?!" cried Zector, who was surprised with the sudden move.
"Maria, take him up for questioning." ordered Joseph. "In the corner!"
"Why're you like this, Zector? What've you been up to?" asked Maria, whose tone became ice cold.
"They spoil us with a heck lot of Cream Soda and boom! We've got ourselves a boozed mate!" babbled Zector. It didn't make any sense to Maria.
"I don't get it..." Maria mentioned before Joseph can translate his brother's babbling.
"He means to say is that he's like this because of the fact that his country's top industry is making Cream Soda." said Joseph, "His country's production is making him feel boozed."
Maria placed down her weapon. "Ah."
Both of the brothers look at each other with surprise.
"She had a gun pointed at me?!" yelled Zector. "Wait a second... YES I STILL LIVE!"
"I still don't trust you." Maria said dryly.
"Aw..." pouted Zector.
"I guess we went off the wrong foot. The name's Maria. Maria Santiago of Felipenas. Muscle of the bunch." introduced Maria.
"The name's Zector Ysenski. I believe in a Capitalist-free world." said Zector.
"We all know who I am," said Joseph, "Joseph Yslenski. Smartest of the bunch, muscular of the bunch, and the best leader of you all."
"Pft, we all know that you're no match for me." boasted Zector.
Maria prepares her pistol again. She doesn't want a showoff to occur, nor does she want any disorder in the peace. She looks at the magazine of the gun. Yep, that'll be enough. She thought. Joseph noticed her move and took out a machine gun.
"Let's not get violent, shall we?" asked Zector, who stepped back.
"Right, like that'll happen." scoffs Maria.
"But if we must?" Zector took out his bazooka again, "Weapons expo!"
"Nothing keeps me happy but the feeling of the enemy's blood in my hands." said Maria, whose eyes had a hint of sinister to it.
"Oh really now?" asks Zector, who pointed his bazooka at his own brother. Joseph felt a bit betrayed, and wondered what'll Maria do.
Maria quickly aimed her pistol at Zector. Her instincts were acting up once more, and her military training was beginning to take its course.
"Woah there," Joseph quickly said as he noticed the chain reaction.
"Crimson will look good with my white attire," sneered Maria "VERY good."
"FOR THE GLORY OF ZESCORRRRREEEEE!!!" yelled Zector as he shot at both of them real quick. Maria was pushed back to the wall while Joseph was knocked down to the ground. Maria mumbled something while Joseph stood up. He needed to help Maria quick since her chest wound a while ago must have opened up, and probably worse. Quickly, he sprinted to her side and took her pistol. He shot Zector with it. He fell unconscious.
"His medical team made much more worst operations than that..." Joseph mumbled to himself. He turned towards the injured Felipena, who was coughing out blood. He took out a towel and applied pressure on her wound. He took out a phone and called for the Munijoch Health Care. "Code Tango... Code Tango..."
"Some *cough* brother you *cough* *cough* have." Maria groaned. A medical crate came down on them. Joseph took out morphine, some bandages, and a Medigun. He shot it at Maria, who passed out. He carries her on his shoulder, and into a helicopter which brought them to Munijoch National Care Clinic.
"I'm not letting you die here." mumbled Joseph as he placed her on a stretcher. He looked towards a medic, "We have an important delegate here. Treat her ASAP."
A few hours later, Maria was waking up.
"What... what happened..." Maria's eyes widened as she noticed the unfamiliar room, "WHERE AM I?!"
"You're just in Munijoch National Care Clinic." he said to her.
"Who're—Joseph?" the Felipena was surprised to see herself under Munijoch care again.
"Yes, it's me." said Joseph, "And to answer your question, you were Medigun'd. You passed out due to blood loss. I brought you here."
"Again, I couldn't thank you enough. Thanks, Joseph." Maria smiles. He noticed how her chocolate brown eyes glinted with gratitude.
"Anytime, Maria." Joseph said.
Whatever these feelings are, thought Joseph, they sure are strong. Little does he know that she herself is beginning to feel the same thing.
Chapter Three: The Darkness Within Thee[edit]
All those feelings of warm and grace became shattered, but hiding, when he came in.
His intense aura was not yet known, but present. He had a burning passion in his eyes, one of which is either of lust, or pure hatred for the world. He stood tall, proud, and muscular. In his sheath, he had two dual-bladed daggers, a vial of blue liquid at the end of the sheath where the blade tips were. He wore a black and red tube lined suit, with a red rose in his pocket, and golden cuff links.
His name was Victor Malkov, president of Munijoch.
"Ah, Joseph. So good to see you came back—alive—from the delegate meeting. Who might be this young lady?" asked Victor, a deep, fascinating voice coming out.
"Good afternoon sir, this is my new friend and delegate to our ally nation, Felipenas. Her name is Maria Santiago." replied back Joseph, shocked that Victor came in here on a whim. He rarely does that.
"Ah, intriguing. Have you yet to contact Felipenas about this incident? Who caused it, might I ask?" asked Victor, again. He was full of questions now.
"No, sir. I left the duty up to you, since you ARE the president. We both ventured to Zescore to get revenge on Zector for injuring her. I offered to help her on ally means, and she accepted. She got injured." replied Joseph, a hint of guilt in his eyes.
Victor raises his eyebrow, a hint of interest and intrigue on his face.
"But aren't you my Ambassador, the person whom represents my country, AND it's affairs with others? Surely, it must be your job therefore." counter-argued Victor.
"No sir, it's your duty as President to maintain contact with the leaders of such nations about this." replied Joseph. He was getting impatient.
Victor smiles, his reasoning strong.
"Alright, alright. It was my duty, there I admit. Who caused it?"
"Zescore's ambassador."
"Odd that he would do that, no?"
"Yes, I wonder why and/or how. Anyhow, Maria here is just recovering from her wounds caused by him. He shot me, too, but I was able to walk it off quite easily. She wasn't so lucky."
"I'm right here, ya'know." said Maria, trying to sit up.
"I see. Well, I suppose then we can schedule an assassination of the ambassador, or leader, if necessary" said Victor, grabbing a book from his pocket. "Zescore has been getting rowdy ever since they entered power..."
"Weren't they a colony under our rule?" Joseph asked.
"Some guy decided it would be nice to just declare independence. Our goal is to get it back from them," said Victor, grabbing a pen now as well.
As Joseph looked over to the notes, Maria was finally getting settled in after a long rest. Getting up, she slipped into some slippers, knowing the probable cold surface on the floor. She had one goal and only one goal—get back home.
"Look guys, as much as I would love to stay and chat, unfortunately, I have to head back home to my country. See you around?" said Maria, heading to the door.
A force unseen closes the door with a loud slam. Victor then turned to Maria, a menacing aura emanating from him.
"I implore for you to stay and partake in this, Maria. It'll be beneficial for the both of us as countries if you do," said Victor, shutting the book up and handing it to Joseph.
"O-or that, yes. Or that."
"Alright Sir, what will we do to get back at him?" Joseph asked, opening the book. A large, elaborate diagram of the island was before him.
"You two shall be entering the island on the northern side, in the sea between us. From there, get away from security, and you shall be alright. Then, just shoot the names listed there. Simple, clean, quick." stated Victor, feeling proud of himself.
"Alright then. Deployment shall commence in a little bit for me. Maria, I'm not sure about."
"Um, er, uh, y-yeah, I'll be there," stuttered Maria. She was still taking in everything.
"Great. Both of you will work fine together. Good day." said Victor, leaving the room, Joseph in pursuit as well.
After a while, Maria was left alone, trying to process everything that had happened, how she felt, and what this feeling for Joseph was.
Back at the HQ, Joseph received his final briefing before heading into battle against this rogue colony of Munijoch. Zescore is not one to be messed with, as it holds 50% of Munijoch's military power, and under the leadership of the corrupt dictator, who knows what might happen to that military equipment. Therefore, the entire country was at odds with each other as the tensions, cold war, and fury between the two spiraled down into undesirable levels. However, this is not where we find ourselves, rather, a Maria Santiago, sitting and waiting to go, being delayed on purpose by Victor.
"And over here is our medical room. We hold much of our medical supplies in high regard." said Victor, pointing over to the room. The medical team waved and smiled at them.
"Y-yes, this all fine and dandy, but we need to go help Jo-" stated Maria, getting antsy.
"I'm afraid we can't anymore, he already left. Perhaps we can wait for him to recon to us." replied Victor. He planned this all along.
"WHAT?! You stalled me! I need to get Defense here... now!" yelled Maria, getting nervous and starting to run, calling Defense.
In a flash, Defense agents surround Joseph as they huddle around Maria as well, protecting her.
"Mr. President, I'm afraid we'll have to ask you to stay away at risk of injuring you. This is direct order by the Ambassador." said the Defense agent. He had black feathers, a tuxedo, dark sunglasses, and an earpiece. Multiple weapons adorned him.
"Good, you know my title. Now, I will have to ask you back off, or I'll get my Defense. This is an order by a country's president with more weapons than actually needed," replied Victor, a smirk on his face.
The agent communicated something along the lines of "Code Red Menace" in to his ear piece and more agents showed up, now with guns pointed to him. Dozens more surrounded him as he seemed hopelessly trapped by them.
"Oh, you did not want to do that..." replied Joseph, a faint glow in his eyes.
"Prepare to fire on my call." yelled the Agent, looking behind.
"Is that so? In that case..."
In a flash, Victor disappeared, a slight hiss sound being heard as the power went out as well. Menacing voices, shrieks of anger, and pure evil emanated the room, seemingly stuck in a perpetual motion of rotation, stillness, and energy. The cries of agents being taken away to an unknown location filled the room, as Maria was just standing there, unaware of everything happening to her.
By the time this was finished, all that there was in the room was Maria, standing still in awe, and Victor, suddenly reappearing with a velocity so strong it would've knocked back a regular penguin.
"You seem to be anxious to go there now. Come, we'll go now." said Victor, now in a cheery mood.
Maria was just left to her own divine will, trying to process what just happened. As she and Victor boarded an MJ-RAPTOR, she got a call that all the agents were back home, seemingly unharmed, and with no recollection of what happened.
"Shoot, I lost contact, supplies, and everything. How will I get out of THIS mess now?" said Joseph, struggling to get out of the lake with a crashed MJ-RAPTOR. He got shot down and sent into the deep forest of Zescore.
He managed to find his way to a nearby airfield, where he got in contact via radio communications in a Munijoch Stronghold to Victor and Maria, now in pursuit.
"Sir, Maria, where were you? I got crashed down, I'm in the southern tip of the 3rd Island, things are getting crazy up here." said Joseph, panting as he was talking. Clearly, he was tired, but tried to hide it.
"We're on our way. Coordinates have been punched in and we are in pursuit." said Victor, flying to the base. He did not respond as to why he delayed Maria.
Joseph acknowledged it and went to go take a small nap while they wait. In the dream, he dreamed that he became president, and that all that was evil and wrong was reverted and brought back into sanity once more. Then, a sinister turn, as he dies, along with Victor, in a battle. He doesn't know it yet, but this dream will play out in his rise, and fall, to power.
Chapter Four: An Assassination Worthwhile[edit]
As he was getting to a meaningful part-- what would happen to Munijoch, he is suddenly woken up by Maria with a quick but effective shake.
"Joseph, wake up. We're here, we got to move" said Maria, close to Joseph now.
"Indeed. MJ-REXXARs are out front waiting for us to board. We will have a short amount of time before they air strike this base. Everyone is evacuating. Our goal is to either conquer the capital, or assassinate the leader. Either way, we shall win. I suggest we hurry up" stated Victor, a plea in his voice.
Joseph responded quick and grabbed what he could to escape the wrath. All three of them headed to a Supercarrier REXXAR and boarded it, taking controls and manning the guns. Joseph stepped on it as he left the base in a hurry. What was about to go down there would've impacted the entire lifeline of them.
"Quick Joseph, faster! We need to get to the Western Tip, where the City of Desolation is!" cried Victor.
"I'm going as fast as this thing can do! I can't go any faster!" replied Joseph, yelling as well.
"Nonsense! Press the star button! It'll go faster than this!"
Joseph heeds his advice and presses it. The tank roars to life and surges to the other end of the air field, rampaging the scene where it was travelling. Anything standing in it's path would've been crushed or destroyed.
"NOW WE'RE MOVING!" said Joseph, cheering.
"G-get me off this crazy train..." stumbled Maria, trying to stay up. She looked pale.
After about 30 minutes of travel, they arrive in front of the capital city, where the first confrontation took place only days before. Now, however, Munijoch has the upper hand, thanks to Victor.
"Alright, we can go in subtle or we can go in loud. Which do you want?" asked Victor, planning an attack.
"Loud is more direct, but risky. Subtle is too slow but safe. I would take loud" said Joseph.
"I'm not sure... but okay, loud" said Maria nervously.
"Then it's settled. Let's ram this place" said Victor, giving an evil grin as he takes the wheel.
Joseph and Maria buckle tight as Victor accelerates to a high velocity. He has no intention in breaking or turning, and this is shown when he rams through the fortified gates leading to the courtyard. Automatic Turrets fire at them, but the REXXAR's turrets fire back, causing multiple explosions and debris to fly around everywhere. The REXXAR disintegrates the fountain in front of the presidential foothold and crashes into the main hall by the front door. The front side of the foothold proceeds to then collapse in under itself.
In the middle of all this stood the de facto president of Zescore, Zescore Malkov.
"Brother, you came in unannounced! What led you to be here?" said Zescore with a grin.
"You know very well why. I want the piece of land known as 'the shield' back" replied Victor, grabbing out a machine gun. "...and I shall get it by any means necessary."
"You were ALWAYS special brother. Remember when you were forced into hiding, forced US into hiding? The numerous transfers of schools, your anger? Your social problems? When will you see that I am the true leader of this. They promised me power, royalty, and above all else-- leadership."
"W-woah, who's they?" asked Joseph, now confused. Could this be...
"ERGH! You little... I'll... I'll..." yelled Victor, getting himself ready.
Victor puts his gun away and rips a gatling gun off of the REXXAR. He then pulls a piece of metal as well and attaches it as a handle and lever.
The gun began to spin.
"YOU WANT MY POWER? COME AND GET IT!" yelled Victor as he began to shoot to Zescore.
A countless number of bullets began to fly to Zescore as he looked in shock, fear, and agony. Victor stops shooting at him and instead shoots to the ceiling, causing a bit of roof to collapse down onto him.
"Come, quick! We'll leave him there. He's of no more concern or use to us!" said Victor, a hint of tiredness in his voice.
"B-but he's injured..." said Maria, looking hesitant.
"I said go! Leave!"
"Y-yes sir" said Joseph, following behind Maria.
The three of them begin to run outside as Zescorian forces swarm into the area. Victor stops and notions them to as well.
"I have already arranged RAPTORs to fly in. Either we take them or they take them. You choose" whisper Victor.
"Seeing the situation we're in, how about we take them?" replied Joseph, grabbing a gun out.
"Maria? Yes? Alright, lets do this." said Victor, grinning.
The three of them pull out guns and begin to rush out to the fray. Countless bullets pass by and are returned back to them. ZS-ANNIHILATOR helicopters fly in to take the injured out of the area. As the fight begin to close in on the three of them, MJ-RAPTORs join the fray and shoot down the ZS-ANNIHILATORS seamlessly. The three quickly move out of the courtyard and out to the gate to escape.
"Move, quick! I need to tie up loose ends with my brother." yelled Victor, running back into the house.
Maria and Joseph heed his words and escape out the courtyard, now crumbling around them. Zescorian Elite Forces begin to flood in and take the courtyard, leaving Victor trapped within the stronghold. The forces the began to hail bullets on Maria and Joseph, one hitting Joseph in the back.
"ARGH! I'm hit! I'm hit!" yelled Joseph, yelling in pain. His eyes began to go a bit darker than usual.
"Are you okay? Do you need assistance?" asked Maria, frantically trying to get a hold on the situation.
"I'll be okay. Leave me to it." said Joseph, taking out a piece of steel from a court gate.
Joseph then turns back and charges headfirst into the snipers, going in zig-zags to attempt to dodge the bullets. He then jumps in the air and knocks the forces out in the courtyard. He steals a gun and runs back to Maria.
"Had to at least get something out of that injury." said Joseph, now looking a worse.
MJ-RAPTORs began to land and take position. Royal Vanguard Forces flooded out to take the courtyard with the Foreign Vanguard Force. Countless medical staff members came to heal the wounded, friend or foe. Joseph staggered to one of them and asked for a fix.
"V-victor brother... h-help me..." came a voice from the rubble.
"Oh get up you weakling, I know you're stronger than that." replied Victor, rolling his eyes.
"B-but brother... I-I don't know if I'll really make it... I s-swear..."
"In that case, tell me: who are "they" you mentioned earlier?" asked Victor, walking closer.
"The o-opposite of the Midnight Sun... the WhiteBlood..."
"THEM?! I thought they died out a long time ago..."
"T-they are alive, brother, and well... P-please, leave me be... I wish to join mother, wherever it may be..." replied Zescore, breathing his last.
"I never could say what I thought about you, my brother... may you rest in peace. You will be honored with the highest dignity." said Victor, staggering up again.
As Victor walked out, he grabbed out a marker from his back pocket and drew the Star of Munijoch on the entrance. After inscribing his final words to his brother, and saying a saying from the old Book of Legends, he lit the stronghold on fire. The Zescorian forces seized fire and looked behind to see the emotionally defeated president walking out, a glimmer of sadness, anger, and regret in his eyes. All the forces could do was just stare and watch as Victor walked to the middle of the courtyard, seeming to choke up. But instead of this, he gave a speech.
"Citizens of 'Zescore,' and those who fight for Munijoch, war is a disease. WAR is the plague that burdens us all. It severs us into pieces that can never be mended again. In this process, we lose those we love to this disease. We cannot cure this disease, unfortunately. And as well as this, once someone dies because of this disease, we can never get them back. Ever. Example in case, my brother. Corrupted by promises of war. You all were as well. You were all betrayed, misled, and driven into the grasp of insanity incarnate by this... this maddening group of sociopathic psychos called WhiteBloods. So was my brother. Heed my word, citizens, NEVER fall into the hands of madness, insanity, and power. All this does is not kill you per se, but kill others and the ones you love."
Victor proceeded to run out of the place, tears trailing down his face.
Joseph staggered up at the sound of "WhiteBlood."
"No... no... not again... please... no..." Joseph mumbled to himself.
Maria looked oddly worried, since she has heard this name before in her homeland.
"Here too? I wonder..." mumbled Maria as well.
Chapter Five: The Felipenas Defection[edit]
It has been two weeks since the invasion of Zescore. Maria went back to the Felipenas to resume her ambassador work as well as train new recruits to the militia there. Joseph took a break to recover from his injuries and emotional wounds as well. Victor, on the other hand, didn't take a break. Instead, he decided to contact the President of Felipenas for a little chat, and a secret test he has concocted.
"Reaching Atienza, come in Atienza, MJ-One, over." said Victor into the microphone on the telecom screen over his office.
"Atienza has been reached, begin communication. Hello, Victor." replied Atienza, bluntly.
"Ah, hello, madame. I assume you have heard of our little endeavor over on Zescore these past two weeks?"
"Quite so. I applaud you for retaking the isle and opening trade again for our countries. This will surely benefit us as allies."
"Yes. I assume you do know the little force that decided to take it over, as well?"
"W-what? Erm, no, no I don't. Do tell." replied Atienza, nervously now.
Victor had a glimmer of opportunity in his eyes. "Ah yes, the WhiteBloods, I assume you know, since I sent a report on it to you. It should have gotten through..."
"N-no it didn't. It never did. Send it again."
"Ah, but you should have gotten it, it was placed directly into your communicator on your wrist..." replied Victor, grinning in his head.
"O-oh, yeah, it did, I forgot..."
"Here, I just sent it, did you get it?"
Atienza looked down and became nervous. "O-oh my yes it did. Oh look at the time, I got to go, good bye."
"Wait yo-!"
Atienza went offline and Victor's suspicions were confirmed. Victor called up his foreign vanguard force and had them assemble in the military hangar.
Back in Felipenas, the country was going into political chaos. WhiteBlood outposts were beginning to spring up everywhere as the old government began to transform into the WhiteBloodied government. Maria was watching all of this, sadly, through her bedroom window.
"Oh me, oh my... I better start preparing for the worst..." said Maria quietly to herself, pulling out a phone.
She begins to dial a number.
"Hello? Yes... this is me... Maria? Dang, long time no talk eh? What brings you to this girl here? A mission? Alright... I got it. I'll contact you then." said the receiver.
"Thanks, I really appreciate it, see you." said Maria, hanging up.
"Now why would she want me to do that..." Alyssa said, putting away her phone and running to the government center.
Victor storms out of his office as he walks to his car to meet Munijoch's Elite Vanguard Force: the 911th Regiment. These were the best of the best, and he needed the very best. On his way there, he called up Joseph on his cellphone.
"Joseph here." said Joseph as he answered.
"Get down here. Emergency." replied Victor bluntly.
"Ugh. Sure thing then."
Joseph hung up and got to his car. He worried that something terrible gone wrong now, or another Civil War was at stake. He put down his novel on The Infinite Engine and started it up.
Chapter Six: WhiteBloodied Menaces[edit]
Victor brought his associates, Joseph and Maria, to where he was located to inform them of his decision to invade Felipenas due to unforeseen diplomatic circumstances surrounding the government and it's stability. Already, military personnel were arriving on scene to prepare for the full-scale invasion. Beside them, a large, rather intimidating warship appeared. Dawned in white-metal plating and red stripes coming down the bottom of the large ship, it was obvious to Joseph what it was.
This was none other than the purported MJ-680 massive aerial warship.
"So, what's the issue here, Victor?" asked Joseph.
"Felipenas has been invaded by our favorite organization. Government has collapsed into turmoil, and I fear it will get worse unless we invade now. Beside us are the REXXARS, RAPTORS, and the 680, finally out of testing phase. Also, I have for you a gift or two." replied Victor.
"Oh?"
Victor pulled out of his knapsack a pulse gun, newly minted, and a pair of boots with the same engravings as the pulse gun.
"This is the newly minted Pulse Gun v.5.8, as well as the beta tested Pulse Boots. These allow you to send a pulse in all directions around you, as well as use the same hydraulic system our war-chief has." said Victor, handing them to Joseph. "they're yours."
Joseph was astonished at this offer Victor gave him. Hopefully, he would be able to pay Victor back for his generosity.
"Now, get on the ship. This is war." Victor said coldly.
As the three of them got on the ship, about 2,500 troops followed them. 5 from each column split off into the turrets and rotating gun stations. The remaining went to the cargo bay and fastened in their seat belts, examining the guns, armor, and missiles on display. Various cup holders were in between each soldier, as some put in a bottle of water in preparation for the long journey.
Meanwhile, Victor, Maria, and Joseph went to the Captains bridge, where they were promptly greeted by the captain of the ship, General Veneroz R. Williams the 4th.
"Take us to Felipenas, Captain, on the double" commanded Victor, slumping into his presidential seat. Joseph and Maria soon followed.
"Right away, sir. Personnel, prepare for launch. All engines a-go. Launching in 10." the captain chimed into the intercom.
The ship began to take off with great velocity into the air as pulse engines began humming and exerting a soft purple glow on the outside. The massive warship jolted up with massive force as it began to rocket to Felipenas. Victor's eyes began to softly glow red as he thought of the battle to happen in a bit. Maria only feared for her country's safety. Joseph had his feeling tossed up in the air, torn between passiveness and fulfilling his commander's desires.
"Sir, he approaches Felipenas. His descent is beginning to unravel."
"Good... make sure they lose... relinquish control when they begin to fight... make him feel anger... complete... the cycle..."
"Yes, my lord. As you wish."
"Make sure NO ONE interferes!"
"Of course, my lord."
Within minutes, the Warship arrives in Felipenas, Munijoch Jets surrounding it as it prepares to hover off a cliff coast near the capital. The Cargo bay door opens with troops leaving to face the menace of the WhiteBloods. Tanks roll out as helicopters begin to land with weapons and other armaments. Back-up warships begin to power their way around the coast to the capital, standing as a sea distraction while they enter through the behind of the city. Victor, Joseph, and Maria walk their way out of the ship, all dawned in some sort of armor.
"What's the plan, sir?" Joseph asks, bringing out a notepad to take notes on.
"Lead the cavalry, I'll go in on my own, I'm strong enough to handle a few men" replied Victor, wearing only a cloak and some metal armor underneath.
"But... -sigh-, alright sir." stammered Joseph.
"Later."
Victor casts a spell and a vortex appears around his eyes, teleporting him to a place unknown to Joseph. The vortex intensifies until Victor has disappeared.
On the horizon, however, an explosion is seen. Joseph assumes now where he went, but he would be wrong.
Chapter 6.1: Prelude to the Fall[edit]
The Government building is heavily fortified, armed to the teeth with guards, and, of course, walled. Perfect for someone like Rogue Tvarkov, the famous assassin.
After getting orders from Maria to go against them and attempt to collapse the government, puzzle pieces are beginning to form about her past, as well as the current state of affairs in Felipenas. Her only question, if any, would be most likely how long this has been going on for it to escalate into a full scale invasion. She would've only guessed a few years, and most likely would've been correct.
At once, she planted even more incendiary bombs as her first one went off on the southern wall. She felt a cold, calculating presence near her, but didn't see who. As she kept on walking, however, it got more obvious. Two eyes with inferno patterns on them began to appear out of the shadows as a vortex came out of nowhere, teleporting Victor to Tvarkov. Not knowing who it was, Tvarkov immediately went in for a jab, only to have been evaded and gripped from the back.
"You. Name. Now." commanded Victor, cruely.
"Uh-uh... Tvarkov, sir." she replied, stammering. No one has ever evaded her...
"Good, you're with us." replied Victor, teleporting once more onto the other side of the dominion.
Alyssa stared in awe at this being --almost surreal being, for that matter. How could he have mastered such unique teleportation tactics, one that hasn't been seen for eons? This was, however, something she had to save for later. Duty calls.
As Victor recuperated from the teleportation, he fired two pulse guns at the wall, breaking it open, only to have a handful of guards swarm out.
"I hate these WhiteBloodied Menaces." Victor mumbled.
With a flick of the wrist, Victor set a chain of explosives off in the area, black fire engulfing the soldiers. The fire --seemingly impossible to extinguish, just kept burning until the soldiers gave up. Victor, however, gave no remorse for these souls, and simply walked past them, anxious for his final task: kill the Headmaster.
"Fools. Your organization is powerless to my higher understanding of powers beyond comprehension. Your weak Master, your "Overlord," is frail in comparison to me and my army. Bow down to your true leader, and follow the example given oh so long ago." Victor said, as if almost in a trance.
"W-why do you fight...i-if you'll inevitably die...?" A soldier stammered, almost collapsing.
Victor paused, turned around, and with a cold, terrifying stare, looked down at the soldier, eyes staring into his.
"Because, young one," Victor's eyes turned a spiral pattern as a vortex began to appear. "...this is worth my life."
And with that, Victor disappeared, a single black feather being left in his place, sharp as a knife.
Joseph and his division were quickly ransacking the city, WhiteBlood insurgents quickly beginning to appear. Dozens upon dozens of the brainwashed soldiers marched in unison, bearing a White uniform with a Red and Yellow Star, similar to Munijoch's, only that this one is the symbol of totalitarianism.
Joseph instructed them clearly, show no mercy to the traitors of the Red Flag.
Joseph pointed to a particularly large group of buff soldiers, carrying a banner assuring the public everything is under control. Only, they weren't the local militia. These foul group of penguins were WhiteBloods.
"Sir, insurgents spotted ahead. What is your order?" A gunner asked.
"...Mow them down." Joseph said, pointing straight forward.
The rally-er gave a distinct shout, commanding the troops to fire upon them with no sense of remorse or mercy. At once, dozens of bullets began to fly past Joseph, attempting to mow down the Soldiers. Except, they did not stop. In fact, the bullets ran past them with a digital sound being made.
"Huh?" Joseph looked, confused and shocked.
He quickly ran ahead as he examined them closer. On the ground is a tiny projector car, the name "R.A.T" on it, and a motor. Furious, he broke the car, his anger cracking the ground with intense force.
"March onward. To the city, save any civilians you see." Joseph instructed, wondering who could have done such a thing.
Chapter 6.2: The Fall[edit]
Maria looked down at her phone, looking at the sound recording given to Alyssa before departing to her homeland again.
"Divert Joseph's forces. He'll show no mercy to my people, since their traitors. Don't attempt to stop Victor, he will show no mercy as well. Plant incendiary explosives to make the invasion as seamless as possible."
As she thought of the instructions, as well as looking at the smoke stacks coming from the government building, she began to wonder if this was a mistake.
"Hey, you!" a voice yelled.
Maria couldn't get a chance to look before she was tranquilized, carried in a bed-spread into a military vehicle and taken who know's where. She was unconscious but had a general idea where she was heading. Down South, 15 miles, East, 23, the Government building...
She woke up to a not-so-pleasant reception.
"Hello, Maria. You're our bargaining chip." a bellowing voice said.
"Don't be surprised, Maria, they did this to me a while ago too." a familiar voice said to her as well.
Atienza?!
A loud explosion was heard on the horizon, causing birds to fly up from roosting.
A breakthrough, courtesy of Victor and Joseph.
A handful of armed men swarmed inside, securing all safe rooms and plotting the course into the courtyard, where they would begin tactical extraction of Atienza. The men were finishing off a couple of rogue soldiers, unbeknownst to them their true intention, and continued to draw up a plan.
"Joseph, I need to go order the captain to retrieve the warship. Stand and maintain your post." Victor said, beginning to walk outside.
"Affirmative," Joseph replied, but he was not heard by Victor as he began casting a teleportation spell back to the ship. He sometimes wondered how he got these weird powers, but scoffed at it for the meantime.
"Alright, I want all forces to storm the court. We will begin a zerg rush for the President here. On my mark. Three, Two... One!" Joseph commanded.
Instantly, the forced began to ram the wall down with a battery ram, ignoring all precautions and stormed the courtyard. They immediately paused upon the unnatural and paranormal sight in front of them.
Two Atienzas, bickering over something unknown. Behind them, a large, menacing figure in a white shroud, red eyes showing from the darkness with a Red and Yellow star on his front and back side.
"Greetings, impudent mortal. I am The Centauri Blood, the 4th in command for the WhiteBloods. You go by the name of Joseph, but inside conceals a great secret that far exceeds your mortalistic name, Joseph. We want it, as well as Maria's and Victor's." the figure bellowed, shaking the floor.
"M-Maria?! What did you to her?" replied Joseph shocked.
"To say the least, she is our bargaining chip, as well as your worst fear."
"...but, we cannot deny or confirm that she is alive."
Joseph looked shocked, wide eyed as he stared at the man.
"I do not think you know our cause, why we fight, Joseph. We fight for the new order, the new class of freedom we wish to bring upon this desolate pole in this desecrated world. A world where people are free from the bothers of the less, where only the powerful survive. We cannot do this, however, without you, or anyone with your ocular gift. Come with us, and together, we can bring in the new age of this time and era." the figure bellowed again.
Joseph's eyes began to turn a dark, glowing red as his pulse boots fired up. His body began to boil and pulse like mad as he went into the 5th stage of the Fallen Gladiator's vision.
"YOUR EXISTENCE SHALL BE TURNED INTO CARNAGE!" Joseph yelled in an unnatural, beast voice. In a second, he was gone, but a lot of red, energy like particles flying around that burned to the touch.
"Where did he go? Find him!" the fake Atienza yelled.
"I WILL SEE TO IT THAT YOU WRITHE INTO OBLIVION!" Joseph yelled, his voice filling the courtyard.
"We will defeat you, fool!" the figure bellowed again, a tad bit of a tremble in his voice.
"FATE IS A MANIFESTATION OF MY WILL. HOPE IS THE OPIATE OF THE WEAK. FLEE WHILE YOU CAN."
At this point, both the figure and the fake Atienza were standing back to back, defending themselves, trembling for their lives upon what would've seemed like the face of death.
SLASH!
With that, the Centauri disappeared, not able to be seen anymore.
Joseph eventually stopped, his face, contorted with rage and pure anger towards the WhiteBloods, staring dead into the fake's eyes. His eyes had a menacing, but rage filled look, with the ability to strike fear into anyone that dared to stand against him.
An energy cloak enveloped Joseph as claws began to form around his arm. As he raised his arm, the fake trembling on the ground for mercy, a loud horn is heard in the air.
"Victor!" yelled the real Atienza.
As it landed, with the landing hatch opening, Victor walked out, looking worried and impressed at Joseph's transformation.
Chapter Seven: Traitors in the Eyes of the Beholder[edit]
"S-S-Sir..." Joseph murmured as he calmed down. The energy dissipated as his final Gladiator's Vision form became inactive. Cuts and scratches were all across his body as he stood there without much thought in mind other than how he got to this point. Eventually, he became settled as Victor began to speak with the WhiteBlood officials.
"My apologies, associates. My comrade here got a little bit... outraged, wouldn't you agree? I certainly hope he didn't frighten you. And as for your "Centauri," I hope you can recover people from vacuums, because based on the velocity of that slash, that's most likely what happened." Victor said in a monotone, flat voice, void of emotions.
The two remaining WhiteBloods stood there, wide mouthed as to how such a thing was possible.
"I think they seen... and experienced, enough. Take them to the containment deck. I want them out of sight, out of mind."
Victor began to think to himself what just occurred. If he had a monstrous, almost omnipotent, beast of rage, experience, and intellect, what use is of an army? Perhaps this... thing, was just as strong as the entire Vanguard...
"Mr. Malkov, pleasure to see you again..." said the real Atienza, walking past a crowd of guards securing the area.
"The pleasure is all mine, Ms. Atienza. I trust you spoke with your ambassador already?" replied Victor.
"Quite so. She seems.. ecstatic of the boy named Joseph. I assume he is your ambassador?"
"Negative. He's our military genius, commander of sorts. He was one in the past, however."
"I see. I hope the best for the two. They seem good friends."
"Indeed they do..." said Victor, looking off at them, speaking to each other as they boarded the carrier. Perhaps... they will.
"VICTOR... YOUR TRUE MASTER CALLS YOU. COUP THE GOVERNMENT, SECURE THE POWER, LIVE THE LIFE OF A TRUE KING. HAIL THE OMNIPOTENT."
"It... It will be done... my lord..." said Victor, tossing and turning in his sleep, responding to the deep, masculine voice.
Victor woke up that night, confused, hopeless, and worried about his sanity from the nightmare he experienced. A person told him to obey him, something he hasn't done in it of himself. However there hasn't been a nightmare this bad since the transplant, which he seems to have kept in the back of his mind. Whatever it was, it dissipated, however, and he woke up that day to give a presentation on the state of Munijoch, as well as the confrontation of sorts in Felipenas. The population, becoming restless over the countless skirmishes, wanted to know.
He went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. While doing so, however, he began seeing things out of the corner of his eye, his vision being clouded, along with shadow figures dancing around him, seemingly mocking him.
"Impossible... my eyes can't be giving out already..." Victor said, taking out a hidden tile to remove a vial of metallic liquid.
He poured some into a platter and saw his eyes black. Instantly, he was relieved, since black means no vision loss has occurred yet. The grayer it turns, the closer you get to losing your sight.
"Phew... it's still good. Guess my mind is playing tricks on me." Victor said, taking his toothbrush again and brushing his teeth.
Victor began walking out, debating on what to do next.
Joseph walked around in his house, questions still unanswered-- why were the WhiteBloods changing the whole government? How is it that Munijoch couldn't have detected it? Why does he have so much care for the fledgling nation? He doesn't fully understand himself, for that matter, and wonders why he bothers questioning it. As he walked out of his home, a patient Maria awaited him, reading a magazine on guns and whatnot.
"Hey there, General" Maria said with a smile.
"Oh, uh.. um... hey there, Ambassador?" Joseph replied, nervously. Why was she out there?
She snickered. "That's not right or wrong, so you win I guess."
"What are you doing here anyway, Maria? I didn't know you had my address."
"You can get a lot of things in my position."
"Oh, well, erm... right. Did you want a tour of the city or something?"
"Sure!"
"Alright." Joseph replied back as the two walked to his car, heading into the Inner Sanctum of the City of Progress. His mind was light and his stomach in knots, either from embarrassment, anxiety, or perhaps, love.
The heavy War-Chief walked into the council room, machines buzzing in and around him, his helmet being taken off by an assistant and his core generator humming a soft tune. His name was Isaac Juggernaut, and he was Munijoch's name in war. Nicknamed the Gentle General, while his steel is malleable, his supreme grip over Munijoch's military affairs certainly wasn't.
"You infantile child! Carrying out an act of war against even a proxy government looks bad on our end!" Isaac yelled, slamming his fist into the table. The workers made sure it wasn't wood, just so it wouldn't break.
"I, for one, think we saved them! Think about it! Even if their parent country were to have stepped in, we both know the capabilities of the WhiteBlood with the Infinite Engine and their guerrilla war tactics! They would have stood no chance." Victor replied, pulling out files and reports of the attack.
As Isaac read the files, his gloves began to burn the papers. Clearly his anger was growing.
"This serves no purpose other than show record of this atrocity! Bottom line is you shouldn't have gone into this without me!" Isaac said, throwing the ashes down to the floor.
"Oh yeah? And how would you handle this? Bomb then? Minimal involvement? I don't think you handled the luxury of fighting the revolution against them in the first place!" Victor replied, his eyes flashing.
"Then clearly you don't not my seething hatred towards them! You see this armor? They did this to me. I still have the bullet that pierced my body in my personal collection, Malkov!" Isaac yelled, pounding his armor.
"My hatred will always be far greater than yours, you glorified dumbbell." Victor mumbled, about to leave the room.
Isaac rushed and pinned Victor to the wall, cracking it and sending the room into a fluster. His hydraulic suit enabled him to quickly lunge at targets, and his gloves enabled a death grip.
"This 'dumbbell' holds power of the army. Don't get in my way about it. I don't care if you're the president or ruler of the galaxy, the army takes orders from me." Isaac whispered into his ear, seething anger in his static voice.
Victor fell into a trance as his eyes went black. He went limb momentarily before he got up, a diabolical smirk on his face.
"Out of my way, you oaf." Victor said, monotone.
An unseen force threw Isaac to the ground as Victor simply walked out. It's clear that he wasn't natural anymore. Something is gripping his mortality and is forcing him to act on their will. Who it is, no one will know, but Victor knows. The last sense of consciousness was fear, fear for what he let in.
As Isaac coughed and steadily got up with the assistance of his aides, he brought up his voice-comm set and began to send out a mandatory alert to all soldiers.
"Victor has gone AWOL. Do not obey his orders. Will show aggressiveness and may harm anyone. Repeat, do not obey orders. Steer clear."
As Joseph and Maria came back from the city, cup holders and ice cream in hands, Victor came up to them, looking flustered.
"Joseph! There's been an emergency near Mt. Graxxar, and I need you to be deployed immediately. This is a solo mission, so please hurry. Transportation has been arranged." Victor said, handing him a file.
"I want Maria to come." Joseph said, looking confused.
"Maria will be sent back to her country to be safe, Atienza and I already spoke. Just hurry!" Victor replied, frantic.
"It'll be done sir. Give me an hour to prepare." Joseph said, handing the file back and walking to his car. "I'll drive you to your transport, Maria."
Chapter Eight: Happy Endings do not Exist[edit]
The two vehicles took off the military airport, Joseph to the North, Maria to the East. They looked at each other and waved good bye as their transport headed off into a little blip. Even though Joseph was saddened, he had to carry on with his mission. Dawning a black stealth-ops mask, his trademark weapons, and his wit, he awaited drop off on Mt. Graxxar's base. Being a part of Squadron E, he knew very well the dangers of facing the enemies head on.
The pilots were speaking until up ahead came another MJ-RAPTOR, the standard military helicopter. Not appearing on their radar, they probed for identification until it began firing at them.
"Joseph, we're under attack! We may have to crash land!" one of the pilots remarked.
"That's no issue for me." Joseph replied, getting a parachute.
"Enemy aircraft, identify yourself now!" another pilot radioed.
"MJ-VM-WB reporting, good luck going down to earth." the helicopter replied.
Joseph's eyes widened. Munijoch-Victor Malkov-WhiteBlood, the three words that you don't want to hear in the same sentence. How could Victor have the WhiteBlood ties? He came to the sudden realization that he's been tricked, but he has no choice but to fall.
"I'm jumping, see you guys later." Joseph smirked as he jumped out, back facing the ground, gun in the air.
The enemy pilot looked down as Joseph revved up his Mini-gun. He only had a few seconds to do this.
"DEATH TO THE WHITEBLOODS!" Joseph yelled as the mini-gun fired at the enemy helicopter.
The pilot was too slow to react, and the enemy craft fell down to the ground, exploding against a nearby river. Joseph quickly turned around and pulled his chute, trying to steer clear of the dense forests near the base. He found an opening, but was going too fast, so he had to turn to a patch of trees to slow his fall. When he landed, and unstrapped himself, he knew he was set up.
"That Malkov... he set me up! Something doesn't seem right. I need to get back to the city right away." Joseph thought as he navigated the dense forest.
Joseph knew about the WhiteBlood's hypnosis methods, and how they use the Infinite Engine to gain powers. Perhaps that's how Malkov got his?
"Excellent... Joseph fell for the bait. This plan may work out after all." the Omnipotent Blood said.
"Um, definitely sir. But have you ever stopped to consider something beyond our control may happen? The Infinite Engine affects far more than just us, it affects the dead even." the Assistant said.
"Certainly not! If that poor excuse of a son has anything to do, he'll fail to stop Malkov in time!" he replied.
"Right..." the Assistant replied back.
"Ms. Vauxhall, you seem stressed. Why don't you take some time off, let me handle things for a while."
"Erm, uh, okay, I guess, sir."
"Please, call me Mr. Yslenski."
Ms. Vauxhall left the room as the Omnipotent blood looked through his book of spells. He was, after all, the greatest magic user possibly in Antarctica, harnessing the Infinite Engine's own powers. He had a sense of uncertainty, though. His plan is to reconcile with Joseph and make him join the order, but his rhetoric seems to only make Joseph get more and more patriotic. He sets that aside as he begins to siphon power from the engine.
Maria was arriving into the airport as the limo arrived for her to go to her work. When she entered, however, inside was Atienza, looking panicked and bringing up a tablet with a recording of the transmission from Isaac. After realizing what happened, she tried to leave, only being held by Atienza.
"Maria! It's not worth it. Victor can kill anyone he wants and get away with it too. We need to keep ourselves safe."
"But, ma'am, we need to act upon this! Joseph is in danger, who knows what ma-" said Maria, interrupted by an incoming transmission.
"Oh geez, being stuck in the wilderness is a bore. Thankfully, I looted a WhiteBlood's cellphone. How are we today?" Joseph said, casually walking with a heavy backpack and weapons on his back.
"J-Joseph? How are you in the forest?" Atienza asked.
"Funny story, but I think based on your faces it's the same reason why." he replied back.
"Figured. Joseph, you're the only person I know that can face Malkov. You need to return back to civilization and make sure you deal with him properly. I can have my military back you up if need be." Atienza said.
"Not needed. Isaac and I can coordinate something." he replied back. "I think I see a road. I'll talk to you all later."
He hung up the call and followed the road into Centrallica. He knew very well he needed an army for Malkov, but deep inside, he thinks he can deal with this himself. Isaac or not, he will save his country, and nothing will get in his way.
Maria, on the other hand, was boarding a flight back into Munijoch. She wanted to help, regardless of the danger and protests from Atienza. As the plane took off, her feelings for Joseph were confirmed, and with a heavy heart, said good bye to her country, possibly for the last time.
After several bus transfers, Joseph finally arrived into the City of Progress. Fortunately, Isaac set up a parameter around the area Victor was in, spearheaded by him himself, holding his trademark PULSE 6-Shot. As Joseph walked up, the two talked strategy, and eventually agreed that the best method would be to have Joseph go in himself and talk with Malkov. As they opened the perimeter for him to enter, Joseph's heart began beating, a tell-tale sign of his Fallen Gladiator state.
"No... Not now, danggit." Joseph muttered as he entered.
He opened the door and closed it on his way in, the frantic mumbling of the public on the outside, wanting to know more, being silenced. Sitting there in a brown, executive chair, sat Victor, facing a wall with a fireplace, fire crackling intensely. Otherwise, there was just the sound of silence between the two. Before Joseph could speak, the air grew cold and Victor finally broke the silence.
"Greetings, Joseph."
It was almost like the air was sucked out of the room.
"I've been expecting you. Come, sit, old friend."
He was being entranced to sit down, almost like his reality was distorted.
"I trust my mission went well for you, no? I only expect success, you know."
His mind was compelled to answer what Victor wanted to know. He's being hypnotized.
"Your answer doesn't matter. Due to this threat, I sent Maria to her home country. I'm sure you don't miss her, no?"
His soft spot was hit.
"You do, don't you? I see the pained look in your eyes from the anxiety of her leaving, Joseph. You don't have to compress it any longer."
He's trying to control himself as the air got colder and sparser.
"You don't need to worry about answers Joseph. I see purity and truth. We see purity and truth. Join me, and together, this world will be ours for the taking."
His emotions can't be controlled. He needs a leeway to express himself. A ray of light to cast upon himself.
"Come Joseph, let us go."
His physical actions cant be controlled. He gets up and walks to Victor.
"Yes... that's good. Continue walking over here."
He walked over, defeated and degraded.
"You'll be happier this way, Joseph."
"No you won't! Stop this right now, Victor!" a familiar voice yelled.
Joseph snapped out of it, seeing Victor standing behind a dark portal to a dungeon of WhiteBloods.
"You! You impudent, infantile threat! How dare you interrupt the Master's plans! You'll pay with your life, girl!" Victor yelled, his eyes turning white with dark accents on them.
"Not if you don't first, coward!" Joseph yelled as he jumped quick into his final stage.
As the energy burst cleared the great room, Victor on one side, Maria and Joseph on the other, Victor chuckled.
"You know, Joseph, I thought you and I would be more than just revolutionary leaders. We could've been so much more. I landed you the gig at being our ambassador, and yet this is how you repay me? Your father was right, Joseph, you're a useless good for nothing he can't see beyond his own selfish boundaries."
"You liar! My father died a noble death!" Joseph yelled, contorting more into rage.
"Is all that we see a lie, then, Joseph?" Victor replied, smug.
"Joseph no! He just wants to make you so angry you hurt yourself. Don't do it!" Maria pleaded, holding him back, despite his surface being red-hot.
"I... Cannot... Resist... The... Pain..." Joseph said, kneeling himself down more as Maria tried to keep him up.
Victor chuckled more. "So sorry Maria, your Joseph has left the building now. Say good bye to everything you've ever known about this world, with your little crush too!"
A blinding light appeared as a figure blocked Victor from grabbing Joseph.
"None shall pass!" the figure yelled.
Standing in valiant armor, glowing blue eyes and with a golden shield and hammer, stood Eric, the founder of Munijoch and first President.
"I... What the... How can this be..." Victor stumbled his eyes reverting normal and looking in awe.
Joseph, too even came to his senses as he looked in awe at the founder of the country. Maria was even more astonished.
"I didn't cheat death, for it had it's chance and took it upon me. But a power from beyond space granted me the capacity to summon myself here. Victor Malkov, you cannot kill Joseph Yslenski. Is this really what you want, fool?" Eric boomed, his voice resonant.
"I... I..." Victor stumbled more.
"You cannot escape blinding truth, Victor. You've practiced witchcraft and tortured innocent souls to obtain your powers. Some magic should be better laid to rest, rather than be exposed to the elements of devious minds like you and the Omnipotent Blood. For that reasons, I am banishing you to the Darklands, where all your dark magic resides."
"No... no... That's impossible, that's only discussed in the Omnicrom..." Victor said, astonished at what he's hearing.
"Come now! There's no escaping light!" Eric said as chains bounded Victor to him.
"No... No! You can't let this happen! Joseph! Maria! Help me!" Victor yelled as he was dragged through a blinding hole.
"Joseph, Maria, I cannot allow you to see this, please, wait outside while this takes place." Eric said, opening the door for them.
As they walked out yells of pain and struggles were heard, until they eventually ceased to be heard as Eric too walked out of there, clad in blinding armor of light.
"Could this finally be over?" Joseph thought.
Chapter Nine: Normality Regained[edit]
The three walked out to reporters, soldiers, and cameras, all kneeling before Eric, the rightful founder of Munijoch. As he beckoned them to rise, he began to give a resounding speech to the personnel there.
"My fair citizens, death has taken me once, and unfortunately, it shall take me again. I cannot stay forever, but what I can do is live on within the spirits of you all. In all of us resides a spirit of what makes us, us, and that can never die. It can, however, get corrupted, like what happened to Victor Malkov, the Traitor. For now, we need a president, and to that extent, I hereby present Joseph Yslenski the title of President of Munijoch, ratified in full by the Founder of Munijoch, Eric Slavistoski. He shall lead us all through thick and thin, and let it be known that he shall not fail us, for help us all if he did. As I fade from this pane of existence, remember this, fair citizens: let not anger take you away from life, but to let life take you away from anger."
As the crowd applauded in hoots and hollers, Eric disappeared, and all eyes were on Joseph and Maria, smiling and shedding a tear at the wonderful speech Eric gave.
"I humbly accept this proposal for me to become President, and I promise you all that I shall lead this country to the greatest it has ever been in a long time. So help us all if I do not. But for now, I think there is another proposal I must make."
The crowd gave murmurs of confusion as Joseph gave a smug look, obviously proud of himself for the smooth transition.
He got down and pulled out a very fancy ring, positioned toward Maria. "Maria, I could say we were barely dating, heck, even in a relation of any kind, but I do have to ask you, would you marry me?"
Her heart skipped a beat as she held his hand, "Of course! Yes!"
The crowd applauded more as the First Lady of Munijoch came into light.
The two walked off into the house as a group of soldiers followed them to survey the damage of the house. It was burned up, but a majority was actually untouched since it was built, which they found odd.
"Sir, what are your orders regarding the house and it's contents? We can relocate you if you'd wish." one soldier said.
"No, no. This will do. Remodel this and make it up to date. Modernize it. Also, I want you to construct a warehouse below the floors here. It's going to house some... things." Joseph said, whispering into the soldier's ear.
"Like what, sir?"
"An, erm, library."
It's been a year since they moved into their new home, now modernized for today, with special safety parameters in place for the new President and his wife. A gigantic warehouse was built below them for the said library, and they've even placed a stately mirror at the end of a hallway. There's a total of 12 rooms, 20 baths, but 4 of them are easily accessible on the main living floor, while the rest are mostly storage or guest rooms. Sitting there, enjoying a lovely day of paternal leave, was Joseph with his newborn son, named Matthew.
Joseph got up, son in arms and went down an elevator shaft to their library, filled with archives upon archives of music and information, as well as several instruments they know how to play. Joseph quickly looked at the time, 1:00pm, and rushed up the elevator and called Maria over out of the blue.
"Honey! Matthew made a stinky!" Joseph yelled, pretending to hold Matthew as such.
"Coming! I can teach you how to change a diaper, you know!" Maria yelled back, rushing over.
"Perhaps later, I guess."
Joseph waited for Maria to head to the nursery to look at himself in the mirror. Rather than admire his dashingly good looks, he had another motive. He poked the mirror as it rippled slightly, then stepped through to a hidden room, complete with a blank wall and keypad. Joseph entered a code and the wall quickly opened up into a door, leading to a gigantic warehouse filled with vehicles, weaponry, computers, chemicals, and other assorted things. At the center was a large computer detailing crime in Munijoch down to minute robbery currently taking place.
"It pays to be a President." Joseph said smugly, looking around at his base.
He's spent weeks programming and coding a special software to identify WhiteBloods in and around Munijoch to keep his family safe. Maria cannot know about it, lest she gets in danger, due to the special nature of his personal task. But beside that, he can arguably say he has the best garage in the world, armored, radar exempted, encrypted signals, and, of course, a vending machine.
Most of the stuff in the room was built by PULSE, a company Joseph recently took over per a government program, to order and customized especially for his needs. They were one of the best in the arms manufacturing business, utilizing a hyper-nuclear core reactor known as a PULSE Reactor to power the engines in a way that is safe and efficient. The rest was built by Tuering, a company PULSE bought out and was restructuring to fit in with the needs of a 21st century military.
Chapter Ten: Bumps in the Road[edit]
Chapter Eleven: Return of Triago, the Three-spiked Assassin[edit]
"This final confrontation... crossed... my point of sanity... I will seek revenge in the name of all that stands... for my glory and security..." said Joseph quietly to himself, his eyes beginning to glow a shade of dark red.
He rushed downstairs to the garage and pinned in a code. Three lines striking down diagonally from the door appeared and led to a stairwell. After walking down, the lair of Triago, the Three-spiked Assassin came into view. Lined with weapons such as guns, knives, and other assorted gadgets, it was the dream of anyone wanting vengeance. In the center was a lone mask. It looked like the mask was smirking, almost judging you, but across it's face rested three strikes, one of which led down an eye.
Joseph took off a piece of cybernetic placement prosthetic where his scarred eye and face laid. He placed on the mask once more and dawned his black attire, with hat and cape. He then grabbed his two daggers and two pulse guns as he headed to his vehicular level. As he went he recited the words of wisdom as so said by legends:
"Those whom fear thy's fury and wrath fear retribution by judgement..."
As he walked to his jet, he locked the entire compound on strict order. No one gets in, and no one gets out.
"Ignition. 9/1/1 MJ Sky Force Elite One, taking off. Put off radar." said Joseph to a radio.
A large plot of lake side opened as the runway sprung from underneath the mountain cliff where the palace resided upon the plateau of it. A loud sonic boom was heard as a black, red opalescent object flew past. Purple jets spewed out as the Porcyal engines roared to life. Joseph had his eyes set on one location, and one location only; Mt. Graxxar, location of the Infinite Engine on Munijoch.
"WARNING: LIFE CODE 604: WHITEBLOOD enemies detected below. Entering Stealth mode." sounded the computer.
"Computer, call off, report back to Warehouse 0. Drop off now." replied Joseph, dawning his mask. It glowed red as he put it on.
"Request granted. Opening hatch."
As Joseph skydived out, several guards began shooting at him from below. Bullets grazed Joseph and nearly got him.
"You'll have to be quicker than that to stop my fury." murmured Joseph.
In a flash, he disappeared and reappeared on the ground, a loud crash and crater appearing. He then sprinted to the first guard and dismantled him. As the second and third began to target him, he made a sharp turn and charged to the second, using the collision to propel him to the third one, knocking them out.
"Too easy." said Joseph quietly to himself.
"You'll find that this won't be, son-in-law." said a voice. He recognized that voice.
"Mr and Mrs Santiago, pleasure to meet you again. I trust my thorough owning of you wasn't enough to calm your fury?" replied Joseph, thinking smugly and furiously.
"No, we just hate you. We need to kill you for us to live happily. You took away our pride and joy-- a sad, miserable daughter. You made it into that happy monster." replied Mr. Santiago.
"Your words only make my fury greater. Move now or risk a permanent demise." replied Joseph, readying for battle.
"Make us!" yelled Mrs. Santiago.
"Then you leave me with no choice." said Joseph, chuckling while disappearing.
The air grows deadly silent, but slowly, voices and hushed whispers begin to turn into the chorus of death, as the tango of the dead came into play. The Santiagos went back to back, clearly recognizing the danger present as the chuckle of Joseph turned into maniacal cackling.
"You fools! You mess with a power greater than yours! Your deaths shall come quickly, silently, and deadly. Your pleas for help shall never be answered, and you will die at the hands of the one who married your flesh and blood!" yelled Joseph, his anger growing at a staggering rate.
"You will never defeat us, vermin." replied Mr. Santiago, simply.
The air kicked up as dust and debris became a cyclone around the couple. From inside, the roaring of a machine could be heard. That was the Infinite Engine, the source of all power on Munijoch, whirring to life as a purple beam was emitted from the sky. As that happened, the cyclone became more intense as the couple struggled to stay on the ground.
"Good bye." a voice said.
Joseph cut across the cyclone, using the force to accelerate him to the other side. The Santiagos just stood there, frozen in time as the wind continued. Suddenly, the cyclone collapsed into nothing as the slash of a hidden blade triggered a vacuum of an unknown destination to appear, consuming the Santiagos and the wind. Joseph just walked in as his eyes went to his original color again, from a bright, almost glowing red. He was the Betrayed, the essence of war, rage. He was the essence of Aeroxx.
The engine seized it's roaring as it died down into almost nothingness.
"Where did Joseph go...?" asked Maria, sleepily getting up. She looked around, and saw no one. Matthew was sleeping in his bed, still unconscious.
As she got up, she set aside other priorities to simply make sure he's okay. She scoured the house for clues, yet found none. What she did find, however, were tracks leading to a simple wall. On that wall, stood nothing but a large vanity mirror. She gazed confused, only to take a closer look and found it was a two way mirror. When she touched it, she found that her hand went through it like a liquid. Inside was a room, which the traces of three lines could be seen striking across the wall, with a keypad on the opposite wall.
"Joseph...so easy..." whispered Maria to herself as she cracked the code and the door opened into a headquarter of immense capacity, much bigger than Maria has originally seen. Lights of red and three slices can be seen on the wall, pointing down ominously on multitudes of weapons, surveillance equipment, and vehicles. One of the massive vehicles possessed was gone, the MJ-911.
"Crap... I'm too late. I need to find him." mumbled Maria again as she looked for a way out.
Joseph ran through the halls of the WhiteBlood lair, slicing everything and everyone that got in his way. The marble floor and quartz tiling were crushed under the immense amount of vengeance and rage possessed by Joseph. He was looking for one person, and only one person; Victor.
"VICTOR! I'LL MAKE SURE YOUR POWER GETS PUT TO GOOD USE POWERING AN ELECTRIC GENERATOR!" yelled Joseph, rage overtaking him once more. The Infinite Engine, beginning to hum once again, shot out a white light on the outside as Joseph gained more and more rage.
Joseph walked down the hall, his boots echoing loudly in the large hall as he strode on his side. He gave no compassion nor care to those watching him, both in fear and awe at his power possessed. How could one be able to channel such incredible strength?
"Joseph, I see you've been trained well... you grew and learned a lot as my cronies pushed your life to the edge of insanity... Tell me, did Maria and Matthew enjoy their nap? I would imagine so. If you want to face me, then confront me on the southern step of Graxxar Mountain. Just you and me. I'll be waiting for you, but don't expect to come home. Ever." boomed a voice inside Josephs head.
"I accept, you traitorous dog of a person, Victor" replied Joseph simply.
Chapter Twelve: Final Meeting[edit]
Joseph flew back to the warehouse, taking off his mask and placing his weapons away. He brought in a massive server with cables, and tied it to a backroom with another server. The initials were of an old friend's. He dimmed the lights in the room and put the server into hibernation. He ordered the technology from PULSE to be deposited in specific areas when they are to be made, and began Protocol: Archival. Weapons were sealed into walls and vehicles placed into garages as the place turned into a lone, cold room with three slash marks, and a clock. It counted down to a very, very long time.
"Let's hope my dreams were true." Joseph mumbled to himself, leaving the room. A large, steel door closed behind him as the mirror leading to the room was covered.
As he leaves, he enters another room, more open, except it's filled with proper armor, swords, weapons, and liquid vials of assorted varieties and colors. He eyes a large sword and plate armor and placed it on. Perfect fit. He equips other things as well, just as protection, as well as a vial labeled "RAGE VIAL." After saying good bye, he goes to the meeting room to meet with some officials.
"Gentlemen, I must tell you something. It's 2019, as you may know. Everyone loves me. Yet, however, this battle is something we cannot simply have happen long term. Because of this, I shall be faking my death after the battle. With me I have the Rage serum, which makes my internal organs act like me when I'm in my Gladiator's Vision. With it, he may cause whatever wound it may be, but it won't hurt me. Even then, I'll implant a Medi-Shot into my armor to rejuvenate me even if it gets to the point of near death." Joseph said, sporting a grim face.
"I need you to not tell Maria of my intentions."
Everyone looked shocked at the proposal, but knew deep inside that it was the only way to truly have peace.
Chapter Thirteen: Unlucky Faith[edit]
When Joseph arrived to the scene, there was nothing but chaos, darkness, wind-- and Victor. Right in the middle of it all, a darkened, corrupt, and mad Victor. Dark arms of blackness, anger, seethe, and rage emanated from him as he stood there with hollow, white eyes peering into the soul of whoever was unlucky to fall into his gaze with him looking. At this moment in time, he was the entity of fear.
"Joseph! The penguin who decided to go and ruin my reign! How have you been? Well, I assume, SINCE YOU STOLE MY RIGHTFUL PLACE, you've been good." yelled Victor, his voice seeming to go through multiple dimensions as he spoke. There was a slight echo, with each echo darkening in tone and pitch.
"It's over Victor. I can't allow this to go on anymore. Eric stopped you, Haseca stopped you too, and I intend to as well, whether that be with life or death on the life" yelled Joseph, a bit of the Light side of Energy emanating from him.
"LIES! LIES! ALL THE LIES YOU SAY TO YOUR PEOPLE, YOUR FAMILY, YOURSELF. HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING BOY?"
"What's under this mask, Victor, is more than just my skin. It's an idea. You can kill me, or kill anything, but you can't kill an idea" said Joseph, preparing for battle.
"Where WE will go, Joseph, hope will not exist. Ideas perish as fast as they are created" yelled Victor again. White strings of energy now appeared around him, orbiting every bit of darkness to make swirls of white and black.
"We'll see about that, old friend!" yelled Joseph, charging into battle with two large battle glaives.
"YOU MADE A GRAVE MISTAKE TODAY, JOSEPH YSLENSKI. PREPARE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES."
Both of them charged at each other as the world turned dark and time stopped. Maria merely stood there in awe, with Joseph hiding with her, their facial expressions frozen in time as they look at the two, driven into power, collide with a force so great it could rival the biggest explosion made. Dust and debris kicked up and an orchestra seemingly playing of violins played, heading into a sad, andante hymn to the fallen. The two of them stood there, in a draw of weapons, power shinning though the cracks made by the explosion. Magma began to spew out as the raw earth crumbled under their feet.
Both of them lashed back to their original positions, weakened by the blow.
"Ergh! You fool! You cannot escape inevitable fate!" yelled Victor, cringing from the blast.
"Neither can you!" yelled Joseph back.
Joseph gained the energy and stamina to throw both of his glaives at Victor, a halo of light surrounding each one as they sped toward Victor. As they came crashing down onto him, damaging him, they zipped back to Joseph, both being caught by him.
"Agh! The pain! You'll... pay!" yelled Victor, screeching. A vortex of voices surrounded him while he spoke.
"TRY ME!" yelled Joseph.
As Maria watched on in horror at the two of them fighting, she noticed something horrifying; the Infinite Engine shot out a beam of red light. Howling of other worldly creatures swirled as Joseph was enveloped in the red light. A deep, menacing voice spoke from around:
"Let Fury control your battle. Let the rage take you over. Rage against the dying of the Light." said the voice, manifesting. It was Aeroxx, spiritually watching over Joseph. An aura surrounded Joseph as Joseph glows red.
"Fury... strength... power.... RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT!" roared Joseph as he charged into Victor, now him too looking worried.
As Victor was knocked back by the blow, Joseph's armor began to grow dark. His cape became tattered and torn as his helmet direly morphed into horns of the vanquished. His weapons glowed red with energy and power as he rose above Victor, now towering with a colossal fervor and strength. Eric, watching from behind, was shocked to watch this transformation into such a being of might and power.
"It has begun... The Final Stage of the Gladiator's Vision... and Aeroxx..." whispered Eric, watching wide mouthed as Joseph walked off, unscathed by the charge to Victor.
Black and white energy limbs manifested around Victor as he struggled to maintain his strength, clearly weakened by Joseph. However, unbeknownst to Joseph, he too sustained an injury, as there was a gaping slash across his torso. He seemed to feel no pain as this happened, but suffered the effects of the cripple.
"J-Joseph! Stop this madness! I'll surrender! Just stop this madness! You'll kill us all!" yelled Victor to Joseph, pleading truthfully.
"THE FURY HAS OVERCOME ME. YOU SHALL SUFFER FOR YOUR SINS" replied Jospeh, his voice being amplified.
"So be it! I shall defend myself and your own loved ones! Truly, you have gone insane, Joseph."
"TO ARMS."
Victor conjured up a wall of black energy to shield himself as Joseph leaped up and charged into the wall, attempting to slice through as Victor threw spheres of white energy at him. The wall was no match for Joseph, however, and was sliced into oblivion as the energy disappeared into a mist. This gave Victor the opportunity to look at Joseph in the eyes. In it, he saw rage, Aeroxx toying with his emotions, feelings, strength, and manipulating his association with the Light and the land to his own advantage. He knew now the real enemy wasn't him or Joseph.
It was emotions.
"The engine burns! We are all doomed!" yelled countless citizens as the Infinite Engine released beams of red light, burning the sky a deep red around Munijoch.
Armies were sent out by the thousands to calm the citizens, but nothing seemed to be working. Mass paranoia gripped the state as people began racing for a solution out of the madness of turmoil. The toll of a thousand apocalypses shone through the sky as hope died down, and the anguished screams of hopelessness rang for hours on end with out noticeable stop.
"Joseph! Listen to me! No one shall hurt you no longer! May this be your final stand!" yelled Victor again, a hint of plea once again in his voice.
"NO ONE IS SAFE FROM TORMENT" replied Joseph, rage overcoming him once more.
Joseph prepared himself for a charge, his cloak seemingly turning into wings as he gathered all the energy around him to leap into the fray. Victor, unable to conjure a wall to protect himself, prepared for the worst as Joseph threw himself with darkness toward Victor. Victor sat there, eyes closed, ready to face a certain death.
That, however, wasn't going to happen.
CLING!!
"I SHANT TOLERATE THIS NO LONGER!" yelled a voice.
A blinding light appeared as a winged figure blocked Joseph's strike with a brutal force, making a soundwave ring through the mountains and valleys. A crack was heard as Joseph staggered to keep his strike in fold, anger seething into the strike as the figure held position. Cracks and melting was heard as, at last, something gave in.
CRACK!
A blinding light occurred as the crack happen, the anguished cries of hatred being released as Joseph's blades cracked, the raw iron, seething hot, melting into the ground as he stood there, collapsed and out of reason to fight. Standing there blocking Victor was Eric Slavistoski, his shield gaining a critical strike which penetrated the shield to the point any harder and it would've cracked first.
In the far distance, the Infinite Engine's roaring and piercing cries of torment ended, causing the sky to go blue once more, and thus, paranoia over. The beam of light stopped until there was nothing left distorted.
"Eric Slavistoski... you have made the worst mistake of your existence, both in life and death, fool" resounded a voice.
In the sky hovered Aeroxx, his living blade seething with the hatred released by Joseph when he collapsed.
"With my blessing of might bestowed upon Joseph, he would've ended his country's catastrophe once and for all, save his wife, and ultimately the world, from Victor's evil. But you... you had to mess it all up."
"If it weren't for me, two lives would've been lost, both Victor's and Joseph's, fool. That strike would've erupted the ground into tremors. At that matter, as well, whoever gets caught in them would've been lost. All for what? Your blade and wicked purpose, foul beast" replied Eric, getting up and standing valiantly.
"Perhaps true, I did send them in to die, but for my cause of power" replied Aeroxx, landing on the ground and drawing his blade.
"You traitor! My family embraced the powers provided by you in return for our vision that day many eons ago, and yet now you betray us for your own cause?! You make me sick..." yelled Joseph in anger.
Epilogue[edit]
The year is 2021.
