The Third Day Covenant was a Covenant made under-oath of Freezeland, UnitedTerra (including TerraMount) and the Kanta Penguin Union (Skydale, South Island and North Island). It was agreed, in secret, that the forces of these nations would only join the Great Darktonian Pie War on the third day of the war. It came after the suing of Triskelle by Professor Zlo Shroomsky for the Silmarils. All three factions held their ground until the Third Day, where all three marched upon Darktan; the High Penguins relieved South Pole City, who were in a one day siege, the Terrians marched towards PBJT Valley and the Kantas helped drive back the forces invading Ternville, before they joined up with Shroomsky's Army for one final assault, which saw Darktan defeated.

Background

With Professor Shroomsky suing Triskelle in order to claim the Silmarils, he formed an army composed of volunteers from the continent to unite and fight against Darktan's Army in the Great Darktonian Pie War. Volunteers came from everywhere and soon a strong standing combination of a professional force and a irregular paramilitary was created. The Great Darktonian Pie War was at least a month away.

Triskelle and the High Penguins barred themselves from participating. The majority retreated to Arda, while a few, including Luce, stayed and joined Shroomsky's Army. Triskelle was originally going to withdraw all High Penguin participation but Ulmos helped him come to his senses. He, however, wanted to ensure that Shroomsky was punished for what he did and decided that the High Penguin Remnant Army would not march until the third day.

In UnitedTerra, the UnitedTerran Parliament was voting on officially withdrawing full support for Shroomsky, while the Kanta Penguin Union was doing something similar, due to their lack of confidence in Shroomsky. Triskelle didn't want to loose two potential major forces and met the Ambassador of UnitedTerra to Freezeland and the High Commissioner of the Kanta Penguin Union to Freezeland secretly in Fanon City. He announced his intention of marching out on the third day to the diplomats and under High Penguin diplomatic custom, had only one neutral creature, who was a Weddell Seal, from Seal Island, write down the official words and instead form a Covenant under-oath.

The Third Day Covenant was born, to great success; the High Penguins approved of the new Covenant unanimously, the Kanta Penguin Union and UnitedTerran Parliaments both secretly approved it, also unanimously. Preparations in secret were made; a week before the Great Darktonian Pie War, High Penguin Remnant forces marched out and camped by PBJT Valley, with Shroomsky expecting the High Penguins to join them. Meanwhile, Terrian forces were gathering at Zero Reserve while the Kanta Penguins were preparing for transportation via Skydalian Airships. Shroomsky expected them to join them but they didn't and were only until the third day, where Covenant forces moved out.

The Covenant, in it's written form, was officially read out after the war, by the Seal who write it, under approval from Triskelle and Ninjinian. Various copies has since been made, although the original remains with the Seal.

“It is the foolishness of a single fungi that we're gathered to form this Alliance, this Covenant. We do not wish to see him punished but it is regretfully necessary. No matter the consequence, we shall feel no guilt of what we're doing. We, the diplomats' at this table, all swear an oath that shall form this Covenant; an oath which is being written down by this Weddell Seal. It has been decided, after long negotiation between each other. It has been decided that none of us shall join the battle against Final Showdown, until it is the third day of the battle which is to be fought. This oath shall be enforced by those above us and the ones before us and may only be broken if absolutely necessary. May our ancestors, who are long dead in the fight against evil, be with us in this Covenant.”

Trivia

• Regular Freezelandian Army and Navy forces were deployed along side Shroomsky's Army, although they were exempt from the Covenant.
• This Covenant only applied to Covenant militaries; a few civilians directly joined Shroomsky's Army. However very few, with the exception of Southern Kanta Penguins, were found in Shroomsky's Army for various reasons:

• The High Penguins believe that Shroomsky was wrong to sue Triskelle for the Silmarils and for that reason, very few didn't join him.
• Eastern Kanta Penguins have very thin feathers and require extremely warm clothing to venture onto the ice, making them reluctant to join Shroomsky in small numbers and Northern Kanta Penguins simply abided strictly by the oath.
• Terrians weren't barred but the majority joined the Zero Reserve Army in order to fight in the war.

• There is a possibility that this may be revived in name only, with the possibility of an international alliance by the former members.
