The Treaty of Dorkugal was one of the most historical events in USA history. It added the Free Republics to the country. But, there was much controversy over it, mainly in Freezeland.

The Event[edit]
Chapter One: The Idea Egg Hatches[edit]
It was an average day in the newly rebuilt South Pole Council hall. It had been burned down by the Archetians in the War of 2002. The Council was discussing all of the countries around the United States of Antarctica.
"They are as valuable to the USA as pi is to maths!" said Fred, who was filling in for his twin brother Explorer, along with Explorer's purple cukoo puffle, Mabel.
"I agruh," spoke up the highest authority, Judge Xavier. "Weh need thus othuh rehpublics!"
"Well, we can't just barge in and take them!" Said 24Keyser.
"But we can capture them and force them to sign a treaty!!!" Mabel exclaimed. Everyone knew she had issues.
Everyone stared at her.
"Well, what are you ¶Ω♩♫☞∏Δ illiests waiting for‽‽‽‽"
Everyone rushed around, running around the tables, throwing pies at each other, while Mabel stared and Judge Xavier began to stroke his pet chair, Jonesworth.
"ORDUH! OOOOOORRRRRDUUUUUUUHH!!!!" Xavier yelled, banging his gavel on Mabel's head.
"Y'knuh, Mabul, dats quite a good ideuh!"
"Finally, someone recognizes my brilliance." Mabel said happily.
"FETCH MEH TEH LEADURHS OF TEH COUNTREHS!"
Judge Xavier banged his gavel on the desk.
Chapter Two[edit]
The next day, 10 leaders met in the South Pole Council. One leader spoke up.
Leader 1: "Uh, what do you want?"
Judge Xavier: "Wull, weh want to creute sume Free Rehpublics."
Leader 1: "And how will we do that?"
Judge Xavier: "Weh meet next tume in Dorkugal."
Original Signatories[edit]
These are the original ten signatories of the Treaty of Dorkugal, from May 25, 2003. More countries signed within a year, but these are the ten that met on that day and agreed to sign the treaty and join the new Free Republic Union.
Freezeland - Though very controversial in Freezeland, King Triskelle was the first to sign the treaty, as neither Freezeland nor the USA wanted to get into another war with each other.
Dorkugal - Where the treaty was signed, CEO Billy Fence I signed on behalf of his country, due to Dorkugal's great relationship with the USA, along with Dorkugal's need for protection from foreign threats. - Margate Antarctica - The third signatory of the treaty, Mr. Neme signed on behalf of the Margatians in the midst of the Sherby Hoodwounds War, to try to prevent Sherby from winning the war and annexing Margate.
Auzua Mostafique - A neighbor of Margate Antarctica, Margate Cross Island and Hoodwounds Island, Bezul Mostafique signed the Treaty on behalf of his people. 
Kingdom of Happyface141 - King Happyface141 was more than happy to sign the treaty, after the Kingdom was given independence by the USA shortly after the end of the War of 2002 due to their fierce loyalty and courage. 
Acadia - A small ally to the USA during the Antarctic Revolution, Acadia's first president Greg Cleanington showed no hesitation signing the treaty, as Acadia was just a small city-state at the time, with no military other than the former rebels. 
Castilla - Castilla reluctantly signed the treaty, afraid that if they declined, the USA would wage another war on them like the Goveruan-Antarctican War which had ended in 2002 (and saw a major Castillan defeat). 
Snowzerland - In 2003, Snowzerland was a small, growing nation, heavily supported by the USA, even taken under their wing, the nations were great friends at the time. As such, Swiss Ninja had no problem signing the treaty and joining the FRU. 
Lys - Since Lys was a small city-state, like Acadia, Lys signed the treaty to prevent itself from being annexed by the USA, and to strengthen relations with the country.
Add more, up to ten total!

Because of the event, Free Republics were added, and created the Free Republic Union.
