The Über Bowl is a massive sporting event organized annually in Dorkugal. Though not a true sporting event, two teams compete and earn their way to the top, battling it out in a series of events testing skills and wits.

The event[edit]

At the start of the event, the two teams assemble at a podium on the 90th floor of the large Dorkugal building, Googolplex. The members of the two teams shake hands with their opposition. Crowds watching would cheer for their favoutite team. After this, the Über Bowl is officially opened by lighting a giant, virtual torch, which is displayed on a large screen. The events begin shortly thereafter.

The events at the Über Bowl consist of the following:

  • Keyboard Typing: Who can type the longest story in the span of seven minutes?
  • Computer Repair Race: Whichever team completely repairs a standard home PC first, wins.
  • The Compact Diskus Throw: How far can you throw a blank CD?
  • Click-a-Thon: How many times can you click a mouse in thirty seconds?
  • Virus Race: Can you create a virus from scratch and send it to the opposing team before their virus reaches you?
  • Overclocking: Who can (successfully) overclock a standard PC the fastest and to the highest speed?

The winners of the event receive a point towards their team. There is, however, a final conclusive event. The two teams complete in a huge race to build a supercomputer from the ground up. The parts necessary to build the supercomputer are provided. The winner of this event receives 5 points towards their team. This prevents a tie from occurring.

Result[edit]

The winning team receives a large, shiny trophy. The team members also get an individual guest interview in the Penguin Times!

Trivia[edit]

  • This is a parody of both the Super Bowl and the Olympics.
  • Like the Super Bowl, millions of penguins gather to watch it.
  • Those who don't watch the nerd events, watch the commercials!
    • The commercials that are broadcast during the event cost a large amount of money to air.
