User:Penstubal/Country Making Amendment?

Hello.

I came up with an idea for a change to the country-making policy. My idea is;

countries are allowed to be made if it is devoted from a territory of a country already existing.

Example:

Snowiny randomly gives the eastern part of the island of Snowiny to make an independent republic.

Not what i mean:

01:30 PM: (makes a new island called Derp Island)

01:40 pm: (makes a new country called Derp Country on the Derp Island)

Also not what i mean:

  • randomly creates a page called Derpyland which is a country*

I hope you get what i mean :/ like, a country should be allowed to give independence to another country if it's carved out of the territory the country already had.

Please say what you think about this rule. This vote is not official unless admins make it into an official one.

It's a good idea! It should become official![edit]

Boo. Even giving independence to countries through already existing territory is bad![edit]

Comments[edit]

  • I honestly think this should be allowed. It shouldnt be allowed to randomly do "HEY IMMA MAKE A NEW ISLAND COUNTRY YEY" but rather it should be allowed to give independence to a country from already existing territory. Of course, randomly making an island and then 5 minutes later saying a country was born on the already-existing-for-5-minutes island shouldn't be allowed, but still, you get what i mean?
  • Well this seems like a common sense thing... CKSig.pngWannaTalk? 18:33, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
