User:Sheepman/I'm back!
Yes, I'm back. I'm sorry for the long period of sudden, unexplained lack of me. Personal matters, school, friends, the effort of running a MC server and my summer antics kept me away. In truth, I was watching the wiki from afar for most of the time, but was never able to muster the motivation to come back until now.
But now I am indeed here, let's get down to business. The wiki is in a difficult situation. We're at one of the lowest active user counts I've ever seen (and I'm a dinosaur). Many of the "old crew" that I used to work with are gone. What are we to do? My solution is rather odd, as I propose we do nothing more than what we usually do. The wiki attracts users itself, and I don't see the lack of activity as something to be particularly alarmed about. Sure it's a bad thing, but there's not a great deal we can do. The wiki's fortunes fluctuate.
Of course, if we were to pursue a course of action, I would recommend making the wiki more open. It's been known for a long time that the wiki is basically inaccessible to new users. It's confusing, and most find articles being edited against their will and/or deleted. I am aware there have been attempts at writing guides, with mixed results, but I would say that they're not the solution to the impenetrability of the site. My proposal is that new users can be "coached" by volunteering veterans until they're ready to forge ahead alone. This doesn't have to be a huge, official project, but can be done on an unofficial level when new users pop up who seem to be having difficulty.
Anyway, depressing policy aside, I'd just like to say hi. I've missed this community the whole time. It's a great thing to be part of. For now, I'm gonna keep proofreading stuff and stamping out use of "alot". I also notice lots of policy pages like the COC seem to have been "under construction" for yonks. I'm gonna fix the easy ones first, but what I'd love to do is to forge the site's rules, as we seem to be without an official set. So can I have a go, and let people vote on 'em?
Thanks everybody for working so hard on this site. It's something to be proud of.

You also do Minecraft? Cool. Yeah, I agree with most of the stuff you said here, especially making it waaay easier for new users. When Feey arrived, we stomped all over his face. Luckily, that got under control quickly. And TS kept screwing with Railfan's stuff, which is probably why he left. So that's what I think we really need to fix. Also, FINAL SOLUTION. I'm going to kill as many useless articles as possible throughout the next couple of weeks.--Austin8310 King Radical. Yeah, I like Minecraft (sheepcraft.servercraft.co:1397). The final solution is also a good idea. What's your opinion on my proposed COC revamp? --THE SHEEP! |FIGHTTHEPOWER!

Not again... we have gone through repeats of this exact same topic from 2 different people in the past 6 months. I'm on mobile so I can't find them for you now but just search it up. One of them is pretty recent. And Sheep, you never told me the ip for Sheepcraft until now :( Icmer In Nyc 78% of PC gamers have played Minecraft. No wonder why our eyesight is so bad. 03:14, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hurray for your return, Sheep! The wiki has been very inactive lately. --

- Oh, yes. The wiki has been so inactive we've created a project called TUPP(The User Pursuit Project). But sadly TUPP has not done much, and no one really cares about new users. My plan to save the wiki is to open up a wikipedia:Blog RollBlog Roll. Anyways if we'd be happy to go to the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki:TUPP Board to join the TUPP Board if you want.

- Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I forgot to mention: I'm in Scotland. I won't be on again until Friday/Saturday most likely. --THE SHEEP! |FIGHTTHEPOWER!
