User blog:Icmer In Nyc/Explorer's Image On New Users
Recently I have noticed how newbie users interpret Explorer's hospitality for keeping the wiki clean. For example, Explorer frequently changes or corrects newbie articles (since they usually contain more mistakes than experienced user-created articles). After he does that to a newbie frequently, he posts on the user's talk a run-down on what mistakes the user has been creating, and how to fix it. Explorer isn't the only admin who does this, but he's usually the one who does it first. Because of this, the newbie thinks Explorer is the "webmaster", or boss, of this wiki. So then he/she disrespects other admins in thinking that the only one to control his actions is Explorer. This cannot be fixed easily. Sometimes admins post on their talk pages explaining everything. That doesn't work either. When Explorer posts on their talk explaining everything too, the user obeys (even if it's practically the same as what the other admin had said, only reworded).
Most of the time this only occurs between users who are new to Wikia. And this doesn't just happen on our wiki. I've seen this occur on the other wikis, too.
I'm not saying Explorer or anyone else should change their ways, if that's what your thinking.

You have gone too far[edit]
Dear Icmer,
Celtica is a parody of the Welsh Celts. You really need to study your history. You have been on my case all day! You are not the boss of me. Explorer is! Explorer is the one that corrects my mistakes. (That makes me laugh) Explorer is the one that gets on my case, so I say to you go find somebody else! You delete everything you see!!! Please Stop. Mabel doesn't like it either.
