The Wiki isn't dead. The term "dying" would be a better word. A lot of our older editors have moved on to other things or no longer have time to edit articles. We need a plethora of new users who can respect and continue what we have created. I agree with Flywish too, advertising this site net-wide will certainly help in its resurrection.

This page is pointless. We have gone through this too many times. Also, you have to understand this is not fanfic. It's fanon. All non-related-CP-things you are speaking of is perfectly fine. You're right, there are problems that should be addressed, but the IRC is more suitable for this kind of discussion. However, I believe we need to get Google to crawl the WHOLE wiki, because for some reason it only has the main page. Icmer In Nyc 78% of PC gamers have played Minecraft. No, this IS serious, Icmer. This wiki is definately not what it used to be, and it IS definitely dying slowly. I have created a YouTube account in an attempt to advertise the wiki very soon. Users like Explorer have now been focusing on other things like editing on Fanfic.net, ect...and TurtleShroom has also been very inactive. XTUX has quit. According to Flywish, Feey and I are the only active users who really edit anymore. Let us just hope and pray we get more activity during the Winter, Spring, and especially summer vacations, which is when i plan to advertise the most.

Wiki, we need a plan of action.

We need to survive. The CPFW is the strongest community in all of the CPWN. And the CPWN together as a website is the LARGEST CLUB PENGUIN RELATED WEBSITE IN THE WORLD. We are a relic, and we can't die! WE MUST LIVE!

Ninjinian's Plan

Someone always forgets the Cookie Master. I'm active. And make sure you don't forget that.

My old Club Penguin blog, "Club-Penguin-Pins", still gets hundreds of views everyday. I have advertised the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki as much as I can. Just now I have created and added an ad for the CPFW on the siderbar of my old blog (see it here). It is the second widget down so it is basically at the top of the page where visitors can clearly see it. I have a stickied post about the wiki too, and on a regular basis I tweet (Twitter) about the wiki too.

But do you know what the actual reason is that we ain't getting active users?

Confusion.

I had invited about 3-6 users from Twitter to join the wiki, but almost all of them told me that they didn't really get what to do on the wiki. I can only explain a 140-characters worth of information based on the wiki, and that ain't enough. Last year me, Explorer and Happyface were working on a "Beginner's Guide to CPFW", but it was shelved. We were up to Chapter 3 or something like that. No we do not need to start afresh. Yes we need to make clear to the newbies what this wiki is about and how to use it. We have experienced users such as Flywish, Speeddasher, Kwiksilver and others that can help with this.

This is what I think we need to do:

• slightly edit the Main Page to explain the wiki's purpose.
• (when the guide is done) add a big link to the Beginner's Guide.
• Get partnership with other blogs to advertise the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki.
• Use sites such as YouTube to advertise too. Then spread the videos via Twitter and blogs.

• Note: for a video I think we need to make an "Introduction to CPFW".

I'll be trying my best to continue advertising the wiki. Even if I get no support I will also continue to expand on the Beginner's Guide and postpone all of my other articles in order to complete it. This is very important. For The Wiki's sake, the newbies have to be our first priority - not the articles.

I do agree this site seems to be a little slow. But don't worry! I have my own Club Penguin blog: The CP Adventure Blog which I could use to advertise this website. The blog gets at average 100 views a day, so I could get some people to join the wiki through that. What we need to do is make a banner for the wiki, like CP blogs do. Then people can post those banners on their blog. We need a really cool banner, so started coming up with ideas.

The User Pursuit Project (TUPP)

Just today I've gained partnership with "Club Penguin Borisko" for the price of 1 CJW and a blogroll placement on "Club-Penguin-Pins" for 1 month ad-space. The site gets a good amount of hits and viewers daily. It's our first step to TUPP (that's what I've called my part of the project). Ad/banner ideas

So what if we took some images from the wiki and made the banner a slideshow of those images?
Then at the end it would show the logo any say, 'Join the Wackiness!'.
