Hey.

Okay, I need some help. My family switched to Mac a year ago and we've never looked back. However, we have when it comes to files. All our files from the old windows computers are on SATA hard drives. We have three computer towers, all of which are in my posession. I have one old computer that works fine and I run Ubuntu on it with an old graphics card. I also have a fairly new computer tower that supports SATA. However, it's graphics card seems to be dead. I can't get any picture out of it and the monitor doesn't respond when I plug the VGA cable into it. This is weird because the last time I used the computer with that graphics card it worked perfectly.

My faulty(?) graphics card
. I think it might have something to do with the actual graphics card port on my motherboard. It might have been fried somehow. My monitor works fine on VGA, I've tested it with my old Ubuntu. I've even tried using a different graphics card with an adapter, but it doesn't seem to work.

My alternative graphics card, seemingly faulty as well.

Can any of you help me and figure out what's going on?
