User blog:Ninjinian/The Club Penguin Beta Crisis of 2010
Basically, just today, a craze went around Club Penguin... with fake betas. Everybody went onto a website (not telling) which enabled you to get the beta hat. You had to sign up with your penguin name and e-mail, and say why you wanted one, according to Twitter. And soon the site was proved to work. Dozens of fake betas went onto Sleet at the Dock claiming to to betas. This lead to Twitter and soon everybody started e-mailing Club Penguin, reporting fake betas, etc. It was crazy! Over 20 fake betas got the hat, but they were all reported and Club Penguin have said that they will remove the beta hat from their inventories or just ban them forever.

I was on Twitter and on Club Penguin keeping an eye out, and I dubbed the craze officially "The Club Penguin Beta Crisis of 2010". Pictures coming soon. Comment and more information will be given in comments by me. Any other witnesses speak out!
