User blog:Project X Mark 1/Overrule Policy
"If a project is started, and most of the Administrators and Bureaucrats disapprove or approve the project, it can be overruled and closed or passed. This is because Administrators and Bureaucrats have the final say in what happens. However, one or two admins will NOT be able to overrule a project. At least 3/4 of the admins must agree."
I thought we were a Concensus Democracy. Here is our definition of said democracy:
"All [of] our decisions go through a community discussion, followed by a vote."
Can someone explain this slight contradiction? --Click This For Riches! And That, My Friend, Is Checkmate. 17:55, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
PS: There's a typo in the main page, there isn't a space between "Ninjinian" and "uploads".
It's just a power that the community have delegated to the Administration. It was part of the Policy voted in the Council, if you disagreed with it you should had voted against it. The reason for it in my opinion is to ensure that there isn't a tyranny of the majority, that those trusted with a right [Administrator] should also be trusted with their better judgement on a project if it has a negative effect on the Wiki.--
