For headphones, I use the Sony MDR-XB400iP. It's a nice pair of headphones that deliver great sound and really rumbling bass. It also comes with a built in microphone that sounds pretty good. Plus, they were only $40 when I purchased them. However, that was the clearance price, and these headphones are no longer in production. If you can find one of these do it! Just don't get the standard version, as that lacks a built-in microphone.
As for games, I'd recommend Team Fortress 2, as long as your parents are okay with FPS games. (Mine aren't, but I use the sneaky method of playing games.) It's a fun and free game on Steam with nine distinct classes, several game modes, and just an overall fun multiplayer experience. It's also a great game for doing commentaries with.
