Wow. I remember when I was 13. I too had appendicitis. I had similar symptoms; I had a very bad stomach ache that never went away. I was taken to my local hospital, where I was lucky enough to find out that I had acute appendicitis- which meant that it was close to bursting. Three hours later, at 6:00 PM June 6, I had my surgery. I woke up to find three small incisions on my body. My abdomen was swelled with CO2, and made me gassy. I threw up a few times and I was starving, but thank god i didnt have a tube stuffed up my nose....
I didn't go to a kids' hospital, but a regular one since the kids one is a bit far away while the regular is not far from where I live. I stayed for 2 days after the surgery. During those two miserable days, I had to try to walk again, but my stuffed Abdomen made me slower and stiffer than an old lady, which were the main reasons for throwing up. afterwards, i stayed 2 weeks at home.
It was a painful but unforgettable experience and ultimate test of endurance.
I know how you feel.
