Rebooting the Fanon

I was thinking of making a blog for this, but wasn't sure how many people would see it. A while back TShroom stated that he would like to freeze the wiki to "end peacefully". While I think we shouldn't end the wiki, I think locking certain article might be a good idea.

This wiki is too big for the small number of users on it, and the majority of articles were created by people who quit and will never return. And lets be realistic, new users probably don't care about them either.

So I propose that we "reboot" the wiki. Give that there is no 4th wall and Time Travel is a thing it wouldn't take much explaining to do.

What this would do is erase certain characters, countries, and events from CPFW history. They literally won't exist in continuity anymore. These would basically be all the articles created by users who quit and aren't used often. The pages would be deleted and links to those pages will be wiped out. A new wiki would be created to archive all the pages to be wiped out. However if a new User likes what they see on that wiki they should be able to adopt them.

Overall these articles are safe:

• Parodies
• Most HQAs (some articles labeled HQA are MQAs)
• Character Users
• Television shows and video games (fiction doesn't affect canon much)
• Masters of the Universe (most of them anyways)
• Articles owned by active users
• Important articles (this is subjective, and will be figured out later)

Overall I think the 5K articles does more harm than good in maintaining this site. What do you think?

I don't remember how to do anything here so sorry if this is wrong. I just want you to remove that image on my page from the wiki. Remove it completely. I'd like to say I'd want everything related to me gone but as long as that image is gone, I don't mind what of me stays. Can't really explain why but it's important. Hey, thanks for doing that for me man. It's weird knowing people have talked about me, or heard of me, or even still remember me. This whole place is like walking into my childhood. I've been good, mostly, moved on from Club Penguin and kinda just do whatever now. I'm glad to hear everyone's still around. Zone and I talked for a while outside of the wiki and then he disappeared but it makes me happy knowing he's alive. I'll be sure to check out that short soon.

As for that image, I can't really explain why but I needed it gone. Now I can rest easy. It's probably pretty obvious but I won't say it, that would defeat the point. I'll be sure to check back here eventually. I just wish my damn character wasn't so cringy. I won't change it for the sake of history but man... Cannot visit that page. Yikes. Yeah, I heard that the game had gone downhill. Not like I'd still be playing it if it hadn't but it'd at least be fun to come back and relive some memories with. I've stayed away from it to keep those memories intact. Just watched the short, any idea why I'm evil? I remember acting pretty stupidly but I guess I may have acted worse toward Hat Pop than I realize. Ah well, it was pretty funny to watch. I'm glad those two are doing something creative.

I know it's late, that's why I'm kinda just rambling. Didn't get any sleep and couldn't put off coming back here any longer. I don't know when I'll be back next but you should tell any of those guys that still remember me the following message: "Hey guys! Dear god I am so sorry." I feel like it's in order. Like I said, memory is hazy but I was not a cool guy back then. Anyway. Can't help you much on that page, I really didn't do anything around here. It was just on the CPW where I added all that I could back in 08 or so. On here, I was more of a community person. That and I have no recollection of how things work on this site so I'd end up going in circles blindly.

I'll probably hit up that IRC tomorrow (or later today for me). Hopefully some people are in there that I can talk to. Again sorry for rambling, this whole thing is pretty shocking. Family not Working

I'm putting the lowercase "f" in family and not misspelling it, but it so happens that it's not working. I could've sworn I've seen other articles with the "Family" thing on their info page. OOC rights

It is definitely helpful for people who want to keep track of their articles, and know who to talk to to get to use them. They also will be able to easily keep track of articles they've adopted instead of linking them.

Some articles might not be that obvious. Some users created articles from redlinks they did not made, and don't have OOC rights to. Some articles were edited by multiple people so more than one can claim ownership. So it can get messy, and it's better to simply categorize instead of talking to several people.

I'll probably have several questions concerning shops, although it's late now, and I have English homework I blew off that I need to get done soon.

Anyhow, if you're not going to categorize your articles, I probably will because free edits. Plus it will be easier to see them since categories have columns instead of a single list, should the amount of articles you create/manage be much larger in the future.

I edited imperial forces a bit, but Zone created other articles and had ideas concerning it like Xel'Naga and Aelios. Zone's pretty much quit and didn't get to finish what he started but I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you did.

Imperial Emperor and the Defenders

So now that you're trying to expand the imperial forces, maybe a good way to do so would be to makes him an enemy of The Defenders. This would set him apart from other warlords like Darktan since he'll focus on those heroes.

Well, it might be good to start with the Imperial Warlords. I don't think the lesser armies matter because they aren't as large or important as the other members so they can remain redlinks for now, and you can just use them as generic troops. I'm working on other ideas, so I think you could expand their personalities a bit, although I'll give suggestions

Also, it might be good to make some female for the sake of diversity.

• Phalanx- Has a holier than thou-attitude, follows the Imperial Emperor blindly, and has a bit of a rivalry with 2nd in command Xel'Naga
• Tidus - Has a split personality. Sometimes calm, Serene, and controlled in personality and fighting, sometimes destructive, impulsive, and emotional.
• Glock- Has a "corrosive" personality. Selfish, ambitious, a little sadistic, and kind of wants to overthrow the emperor. Enjoys burning people with acid
• Zentu- Intelligent when it comes to machinery, and has an appreciation for the arts. Usually is on the defensive when fighting
• Yatagara- Scientist who is very logical and good at biology. Doesn't care whose side he's on as long as research is being funded, but know that he's better off with the Emperor due to having connections there.

Again, these are suggestions, so you don't need to go with them.

re:Puny

Well Hank Pym can grow and shrink, and Puny can grow and shrink, so it makes sense. I guess. HF allowed me to adopt the articles, and since he didn't edit it for over 5 years, I changed it to how I saw fit and I am allowed to do that according to the policy.

I might salvage Puny's former background for an article about Ant-Man's successors.

I think changing the title of MLPuffle isn't that big of a deal, and the new title is more accurate anyways.

I read your message about us not working together, and the truth is that I still use talk pages and Mr Cow2 is my account on real life. It's just almost nobody responds to my messages anymore and I rarely use my account. I've kind of started to become isolated from the outside world and doing the computer full-time.

Also concerning images from old Fanon, there's something we need to do in addition to merely uploading them. We should give credit to the original artists. So we'd have to check the files on the old fanon and put a little note saying who did it. Considering there are thousands of files this might take a while.

Also on the topic of pictures and paint.net, how good are your art skills? Perhaps you could help me drawn or improve pictures. I have several pictures I've drawn on paper but it's a headache to draw them on the computer since I only have cruddy ms paint. Perhaps I could send you the images and you can trace and color them in.

I think Batguin is a pretty good name. I don't think it sounds different than Detective Focci. But whatever, if you like the name I'll let you change it back to Detective Focci while I make a Batman Parody with a different name and make them parodies of different interpretations of Batman.

So a loooooong time ago Sanchonachos/Aeronachos proposed an awards that would be give every season. I think it's a good idea, since it would promote more articles than a yearly award. What do you think?

I dunno, it seems more professional to capitalize all non-prepositions, conjunctions, and pronouns for categories but that's just me. And I think most articles capitalize most words, but I'll have to check.

And another thing

Instead of putting quit templates on inactive users, we should create an "inactive" template that shows their last edit (I'm about wait 6 months to one year before current time).

Also, since a LOT of historical articles were created by users who are inactive or quit, I think we should create grouping of them and post them somewhere. I'll come up with a list sometime, maybe you can work on it a bit.

Well, I'm mostly talking about important and widespread articles that need guidance, like the Bureau of Fiction, and probably countries like Freezeland and organizations like the St00del force and Walri. And since Swiss is quitting in June someone will have take over the dozens of free republics he owns.

So yeah. I'll probably work on Bureaus other than BoF, but someone else should take over managing the BoF.

As for pictures, they take time, and I'm still drawing pictures for my own characters, but perhaps during the summer I'll have time. I'm not unwilling to take personal requests for articles users are currently using however. Also I noticed that some of the articles in the category do have pictures, so that needs to be fixed.

Listen, CK, I don't like how PE (Puffle Escape) is going around the wiki adding himself everywhere like he's the king of the place. I think this is kind of unfair because other new users including me, have not added their characters everywhere and he/she already put his/her puffle on ALL FOUR SMASH MATES GAMES. Green Arrow parody

That sounds pretty good. I'm planning on doing a parody of Hawkeye where he is like the comics version and starts off as a villain but becomes a hero, so maybe this guy can be more of a Green Arrow parody.

We shouldn't make him rich like the comics version since that's too similar to Batman, but we should keep the origin of him being stranded on an Island and having to learn archery to survive. I think we should also have him be an environmental activist and have him target companies that pollute at first, and later goes after corrupt companies and politicians in general. Having him be from Polaris would be a good way to start, since that city is full of non-violent crime, and this character could fix that (Although not necessarily be from Polaris City).

Also, if we make him a parody of Hawkeye as well, we could have him attack Stank Industries, although we can figure this out later. I don't want to do this until I write the Black Widow Parody.

Maybe "Ice Archer" would be a good name although I'm open to "Color" Archer as well. Perhaps Azure Archer since that's alliterative. The surname should be something of royalty, maybe King, although Duke, Caesar, or Prince would work.

Inactive Article Editing?

Hello, this is a question that has been nagging me for a bit... Is editing or expanding articles that have not been touched by their previous owners who have quit or have been inactive for a long amount of time considered bad? I was wondering since I wanted to add on to the University of South Pole City since a few of my characters attend that college and I wanted to add some new things to it.

Disambigs

I don't think it's policy to make them galleries. I find the list much more practical, and it's what wikipedia does. Plus not all articles have images. Although we could just do both a list and a gallery.

As for alphebetizing, I think we should like them in order of importance, although that can get subjective.

Vince is usually short for Vincent, and he was called Emperor Octavian so that seemed like an appropriate surname

Collectively, you guys have shirked your duties as an Administrator and have allowed both vice and corruption to enter this website. I got into a Rollback war on the Policy pages because I fixed a contradiction between project:policy/Child's Eye and project:policy/Discrimination where the former condemned homosexuality and the latter sated that homosexuality was protected and accepted on the wiki. The fact that no one here even has the guts to declare homosexuality, as far as this wiki is concerned, as an abomination and an affront to innocence and all this wiki stands for is evident that you need me now more than ever.

My policy on voting is "never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers". The oppurtunity to destroy CPF Wikia and migrate its users here means that we need a concrete and fiercely moralistic policy guiding them. Most people- and I am not including you or most of the current crowd on this site in that -are not smart enough to understand the complexities of governing this wiki. Time that should be spent editing the Mainspace is instead wasted on pointless votes, drivel, whining, and general complaints directed at the powers that be. My entire career was marked by

I never took you to be a hateful, vindiciative man. I never thought of you as a bad person. It turns out I was wrong. You are a hateful, spiteful person who hates to be challenged (any more than what you claim me to be).

Do you want to know why I left? One reason because I've made so many enemies on this site that have a deep seated hatred for everything I do. Several of you have never treated me as anything short of trash. I've been called repugnant, ignorant, hateful, and everything else, and you all think you can just push me around because I don't edit here anymore.

I am in a very bad mood already and this only makes it worse. I came back to categorize some pages and expand some stories only to see that the homosexuals have again returned. Do you think I should just sit by and let you write that this wiki "accept" sodomy? Did you even READ the Innocence Policy?

Ban these words

TurtleShroom's blabbling on sexual topics honestly has no place here. He's done lot more to expose children to sex than any other user in this wiki's history. It's not apropriate, and he need to shut up, in addition to anyone else who want to bring sex here. Vote on project:Ban These Words and Phrases.

Don't you DARE bring up the Innocence Policy, you little snot. You already took everything I had away from me, so go away and stop rubbing it in. The Innocence Policy is already gutted entirely because it allows gay characters in violation of itself.

As long as this- "However, the specific mention of sexuality (see above) in an article is prohibited. For example: "Joe is straight", or "Alan is gay". A better way of putting it is "Joe has a girlfriend, whose name is...", and "Alan has a husband, whose name is..."."

If you can't talk about a character being gay, why can they explicitly take a member of their own gender as a lover? That is a contradiction.

Since you obviously value morality so little as to allow a male cartoon penguin to take a husband or boy toy on a website visited by ten year olds, then clearly, I and my work are not welcome here.

Also, I can't set up a vote because the entire Wiki is biased to vote against me by my name alone.

As colors has been redirected to the CPW, I don't see this as big of an issue, but if another unrelated character or item called lavender shows up, it is only fair to make Lavender a disambig page.

Blackbeard

I was thinking that we could rename Blackbeard something else, since "Blackbeard" isn't very original. I was thinking "Burntbeard" since he burns his bears, although something similar like "Charredbeard" might work. Or something else. Or maybe we could name him "Blackhopper" "Beardhopper" or "Rockbeard". Let me know what you think.

Also, Kwik didn't delete the templates on the user page, he simply didn't import it, and didn't recreate it. I think those templates are important to his character, but I think we should at least put the quit template on there

Hello, CK. Mr Cow2 here and we need to have a serious discussion about QuackerPingu.

Not only is he being an idiot, but he's also trying to make us go his way or the highway. Clearly he has no understanding of the fourth wall. The reason we put the humans there is because we were actually referring to us, real life humans. We ask him to stop, but he never does and everybody else agrees that Quacker is spamming. Please prevent him from damaging the article again.

P.S. Me and Fooly MADE THE PAGE so he has no right saying that those were illegal edits.

When I get to a computer I'll try that to see whether editing is not significantly harder. Overall the sub pages make skipping to the quotes easier by clicking on the table of contents.

Also I think I should be kept until April 26; Celestial can be throughout May instead of getting half a month or having the schedule be sound to the middle of the month.
