User talk:Gravity Falls Fan
Hi, Gravity Falls Fan!
Welcome to the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki! We hope you can make continuing contributions of articles and/or discussion and other improvements.
If you are new to wikis in general, be sure to visit the "Community portal" for an outline of some of the main parts of the site and a link to pages that tell you how to edit.
Many useful tools and fun pages can be seen to the left, under the logo. Named the Sidebar, clicking on a blue link will take you to the page of choice.
Do keep an eye on the "recent changes" page, where all edits and their authors (both anonymous and signed-in) are listed. Bookmark it, maybe. (And help delete spam and vandalism - unpleasant but a fact of life.)
Discussion of any aspect of the site, and inquiries, can be made at Talk:Main_Page or on the "discussion" page associated with each article. It helps if you sign and date your contributions there, so that readers know "who to talk to" and whether your message is probably still of current interest. If you write on a user's "talk" page, that user will get an alerting message on next visit.
Remember to sign every discussion or talk page with four tildes (~~~~).
Feel free to fill out your user page so we can learn more about you.
As a Fanon Wiki, we encourage creative writing. To see what great pages are like, see the High(on the toolbar to the left) and Ultra Quality articles, for example the articles United States of Antarctica, Club Penguin Island, and Dorkugal.
We also have laws. Please read the Policy and OOC for more.
- There are certain groups of users who handle this wiki. They are our administrators. Respect them, not just some of them.
Please read the new user guide to help you guide your way throughout the wiki.
We highly encourage you collaborate with other users, as collaborations built this wiki up.
Please remember that, unlike Wikipedia, the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki is censored.
We encourage your edits!
Thanks! And, once again, welcome to the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki!

Making Pages[edit]
You're not allowed to make pages because you're such a new user. You have to be "autoconfirmed" to create articles; this normally kicks in after roughly four days. Have fun editing!

To answer your question[edit]
Yes, they are allowed. However, it's very much preferred if you don't go into too much detail regarding them. I mean, the largest page on the wiki is a war story. Happy editing! --User:EDFan12345 21:19, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
Hi![edit]
Sorry I haven't been too active lately, but I wanted to pop in and welcome you! If you have any questions about the wiki, continuity, rules, anything really, or need some help or something, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to assist you! I hope you enjoy your time here!

On the left panel of every page, if you scroll down to the Tools box there is the "Upload file" link (if you can't find it, use Ctrl + F and type 'Upload file'). You'll get used to this eventually. Here's a link just in case. -- ¤ (User page!) (Talk page.) 20:34, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Hey![edit]
I'm also a fan of Gravity falls! It's such a good show. If you'd like you can edit an article here that is a parody of the show called Snowy Falls. It was originally created by Quarter Orange, but he is allowing other people to edit and expand it since he isn't as active anymore. You can find some relevant links for the fake television show here.

Woa[edit]
I did not understand that first question, but yes! Stories are an integral part of our ignorable beloved CPFW!! You are free to do your own stories, as long as they fit into continuity. It is very confusing, but people will correct you as you go, probably. Just don't be stubborn about corrections, like a few certain users. (I'm sorry, except for maybe the last one.)
OOOH!! Also, you may want to know this. Sometimes we hold a single large collaborative story, sometimes themed around holidays and sometimes just because. With varying results. You should try joining one, its a fun way to know our community. We do have an April Fools themed one going on, but we may need to cancel it since it was due a month ago and no one has touched it since a month a go or so...

Nitpicky[edit]
Is the antonym you are looking for "uncritical"?
--Don't worry about this whole thing. While I do agree it does contradict our continuity a bit (and that maybe putting violent scenes with capital letters and bold letter is a bit too much), it is a good story, nonetheless. And I will admit that Star was being a wee bit of a closed-minded jerk in this instance, though trust me. You have not seen this wiki's community at its worst. From the controversy with TurtleShroom's... preferences to Quackerpingu's walrus spams to the Wikia rebellion... you are a very lucky user. If you feel like you want to quit this wiki, I will not stop you. But if you give it a second chance, I promise that, while sometimes a bit turbulent, this wiki community can come together and pull off masterpieces together. Or, you know, realize that this is an overly long signature and would probably be better as the actual message. Oh well. Good luck on whichever path you take. Sorry about the mess[edit]
I can explain why my story offended all you: it was not my intentions. I am new here. In fact, I can explain the only things I know about this place to all of you. Piece of cake. Eight years ago, this place was started by MarioTheMovie, who did not edit it. By today, we got the only active users I know of, Swiss Ninja and TheBroMaster. In addition, I discussed Penguin Origins: The Tidal Pool with Fooly8 and StarKirby12. What sucks is that we lost some homies, and several awesome guys I know about are Explorer676, PogoPunk32, Dancing Penguin, and TurtleShroom. I am impressed by what was made over time, I mean really, Club Penguin's simplicity is that it is only on a simple island. This wiki goes over the entire continent of the Antarctic. It is very funny the to compare some characters names with others. I mean, some users use their username for a name, but others use real names. And it is quite sad on how this place was originally about characters and stories, with extreme sanitation, but now it is all dark stuff, and since the main users left, this place is now all about politics, countries, and war. TurtleShroom was awesome, but too bad he left. I think he was a homophobe or something. But either way, I am neutral with this place, and I would enjoy it if I knew more.

Could you please rephrase the question?
--TRADITIOOOOOOOON (And this is a talk page.) 00:40, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
(PS I have noticed that you are having troubles with the ideas of our "Continuity" and the "Fourth Wall" and "BoF". Would you like me to give you a crash course on our lore?)
Your question[edit]
Yes, it's perfectly fine to write scripts for your own story, but make it clear you and only you and working on it.
However, if you mean scripts for big things such as the Fanon Characters Specials, you need to wake up from your own greedy fantasy. Those big things are called "Fanon Characters Specials" for a reason and they're free-add articles meaning anybody can work on the script, not just one person.
In conclusion, you can write whole scripts for yourself, but when it's a free-add article, you can help but you can't take over and boss the others around.
--Mr Cow2 (talk) 01:13, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Lesson 1: The Canon[edit]
Here's an important first lesson. The universes of the canon Club Penguin and the fanon Club Penguin are separate. While some similarities might occur, you must realize that their timelines are vastly different. For example, the terrible parties which happen naturally at Canon are interpreted as the messes that the Party Development Center is "developing". I would also like to point out that Operation: Blackout is a key event in both timelines, but play out differently. From now on, I'll refer the the Club Penguin Fanon Wiki universe as "Universe #133713", you figure out why later.
Lesson 2: The Lore[edit]
Here's an extract from Multiverse:
"In a world filled with humans, each with their own unique ideas, the greatest roots start from childhood. This is the story of Daniel Anderson, Joseph Parkers, and their friends. Daniel and Joseph each created their own worlds on paper. Daniel had outstanding imagination, creating penguins of all shapes and sizes to live in his frozen fantasy. Joseph, while unable to draw as well as Daniel, could create lines and shapes with frightening accuracy. They shared their creations with their friends, who were intrigued. Each created their own unique universe, ranging from a digital world to a land of cubes."
As you can see, the basic idea is that everything in Universe #133713 was pretty much made up. While the quote itself is comparatively recent, the idea of a thin border between Universe #133713 and reality was there from the very beginning. I believe this is what made your story be so controversial.
Lesson 3: The Bureau[edit]
Arguably the most important thing in Universe #133713 is the Bureau of Fiction and the Masters of the Universe. They allegedly control the entirety of Universe #133713, effectively acting as "gods" of some sort. However, it should be noted that they really aren't. They are actually just puppets. More specifically, puppets for us, the users, who write stories and characters, upload images and drawings, etc. You should remember that. IT'S TOTALLY SUPER META, EVEN THIS ACRONYM.
Lesson 4: The Continuity[edit]
There's 5,423 articles in this wiki. Almost all of them are in continuity with each other, with the exception of a few "What if..." articles which study other possible paths Universe #133713's timeline could have taken. But even those acknowledge the actual timeline. It is preferable for any works to be set in the present or near future, to help guide the timeline correctly. However, it is alright if you write them backstories and stuff, as long as you check possible conflicts. While many of the "series" are separate, characters from different stories of Universe #133713 are completely able to interact with each other, specially during the periods known as "Specials".
Lesson 5: The Final Lesson[edit]
You should be aware that you have to ask permission with interfering with the "properties" of others. They can range from characters to entire countries. Just be aware of that sort of thing.
And with that, I'm off! Good luck!
--I can write all that in a single sitting and I still haven't finished writing "Simple"?! (And this is a talk page.) 01:29, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
Penguins: Hero[edit]
I am gonna right a sequel to Penguin Origins: The Tidal Pool, Penguins: Hero. It will be sort of like what happened after Penguin Origins, though it can not easily compare to it at all! It will be an adventure story, and the best part (in my opinion) is that there will be no limit to how many chapters I will make! Okay, less than 45 chapters is the limit, but that is besides the pointy point! The pointy point is, a new story is coming much sooner than you would expect! Penguins: Hero will be coming soon: soon: soon: okay, you know the point: pointy point: why am I still doing this: nuke:

Edits[edit]
Hi there! While it's excellent that you're editing so much for a new user, I thought I'd give you some tips as I've noticed a few things in your edits and pages.
Many of your new pages are only one or two paragraphs, which would classify them as stubs or Low Quality Articles. While there's no real length requirement for pages, my recommendation would be to expand upon some of these pages to bring them to AQA or HQA status. This can be as simple as adding an image or two to adding a detailed history on an article.
Real world references typically aren't allowed, which include countries, people, companies, or websites. Pages like Cowbrianol would be classified as OOC (or out-of-character) as they reference real-world websites like YouTube and the CP game, which don't exist in the CPFW universe. Try to change these to in-universe sites to better match the rest of Fanon.
Pages like Create a Planet really shouldn't exist, as 1) the Create a Page module on the main page serves that purpose and 2) we don't need a page for every planet to be honest, unless a user has legitimate plans for it.
And finally, your article Latelish is lacking an infobox detailing trivial information about the country.. I recommend you add the country infobox so that readers can know more about Latelish. This goes for other articles as well; infoboxes are typically the first thing a reader notices about a page, so it is a good idea to add them where applicable. Additionally, the article references other lands. While it doesn't specify whether they are countries or not, Bro's new country policy only allows users to create one new nation, so keep that in mind while you are editing.
I hope you continue editing and contributing positively to the CPFW! --User:EDFan12345 11:52, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
I am sorry, I have SO many ideas and I can not find info-boxes and my first few images were only posted yesterday. I am sorry, but I am really mad I can not use subjects I am used to. In fact, the "Universe" is something I created. OOC stuff is allowed there, because there, ANYTHING is allowed. Hope you are fine with my way around that issue. :) Update: I have added the country infobox. Check it out and see what you can find. :)

Things to remember/tips[edit]
Hi GFF! I figured I'd follow-up with you after I read Ed's message to you a few minutes ago! Like he said, I'm also glad that you're editing a lot, but you should remember that quality is better than quantity. Rather than making pages for every little thing, you should only make a few pages at a time and write as much as you can about the topic(s) (in my opinion). It helps keep the wiki looking its best, and also give you more practice with writing articles! You also don't need articles for everything. For example, I have a page for my character Penquino, but I don't have a page for my igloo and every one of his puffles, they're all minor topics that can easily just be mentioned on other pages or don't need to be mentioned in detail at all. His puffles are still characters, just not important characters (and if they become important through stories and things, I could make individual pages for them later).
Another super important thing to remember when editing is to keep things "in-universe". Specifically, the fact that we have parodies for most real world things (not all have pages, but like I mentioned, not everything needs an article). The reason we have so many parodies is that things we know from the "real world" (i.e. human companies, websites, locations, people, etc) don't exist in Antarctica, so they don't really have a place on the wiki (examples are Youtube, NASA, Obama, America, etc). "In-universe", they exist in the world, but us penguins are all in Antarctica, and don't really interact with humans or the human world, with a few special exceptions.
An individual thing- I like the idea of your "Universe" and "create a planet" pages, but they don't really have a place on the wiki. I think, like penquino's puffles, each planet and the universe overall are too minor to warrant articles. Earth is a big deal, therefore it has its own article, so does the Moon. But, other than that I don't think the planets need articles until there's a lot of information regarding the CPFW Universe that can be written (like the moon landing for the moon). The universe as a whole has a lot to write about, but I think it's pretty obvious what it is, and in fact there's too much to write. The entire wiki is pretty much writing about the universe, with the few Multiverse articles. So, I think I'm going to delete those articles or put the delete template on them. Also in general, you probably shouldn't make an article to tell people to make other articles, or "placeholder articles". If you'd like to use your userpage/userspace for that, you're welcome to do so.
This is what I can think of right now. I hope you take Ed, my and other's advice into consideration, we're just here to help and try to keep the wiki as good as it can be! You can find most, if not all of the wiki's infoboxes here (since I saw you were asking ed). I hope you don't mind, but when I get a chance I'm going to try to go over some of your articles and fix some of the problems I see, so you can get an idea of what to do and not to do. I don't mean any offense by doing that, or to dissuade you any, just trying to do my job as an admin and show by example :p
If you ever have any questions about anything, feel free to ask me or another user here- most people here are pretty experienced, and are always around to help. (Hope this wasn't too long)
WannaTalk? 10:20, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
P.S. Another super important thing- I saw your reply to ed and... we don't really do "alternate universes" that much. Maybe in stories, but we usually don't have cover alternate universes in the wiki and its articles, once again with the rare exception, and this didn't even go anywhere. There's the Multiverse, but that's a completely different thing, and Star's the only one who really uses that. Alternate/parallel universes can exist, but you shouldn't use "everything I write is in a parallel universe where it can happen" so that you don't have to worry about the rules and continuity. Like I said, I'll try to help clean up your articles to show you a better way to go about things when I get a chance. Also, once again this isn't meant to be rude or anything- I think that with a little bit of time and getting used to things around here, you'll be a great editor!
WannaTalk? 10:28, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
P.S.S. Another thing that I thought I should tell you about- we don't really have religion in-universe. The parodies of Christianity that we have are the Underworld and the P.O.P.E., which aren't religious to my knowledge at all nor do they relate to each other. The POPE and the Papacy are the main, if not only electric company in Antarctica, holding a monopoly over all things Electric, and are a parody of Catholicism but not sharing the religious tendencies. So yeah, there's no god really, but there is an underworld- but I don't think it holds the same evil/religious connection (I haven't read the article in a while so idk, just figured I'd bring those to your attention. Since there's no real "hell" here, we usually don't reference it or use it in speech either (not sure if it's really a curse or not, but yeah it's preferred that it isn't used- we have Emalfs for that).
WannaTalk? 00:28, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
About Count Lionel[edit]
Hey, firstly, I don't think I ever welcomed you to the wiki before, so I will say now: welcome to the wiki. I apologize for my late welcome.
Secondly, I find your Count Lionel article quite interesting and I believe you are a good writer, but this wiki is dedicated towards fan fiction regarding the game Club Penguin, therefore it only involves Antarctica, Club Penguin and obviously penguins and puffles. Humans are not allowed to be used on Fanon (sure, we have a Human article and Humana Cathedral, but those were the only exceptions and they are one of our only human-related articles on the wiki).
Therefore, I believe you need to re-new the article on Count Lionel and make him be suitable to our Fanon world. There are tons of things you could do with that article that are similar to the current stuff you've written, but it shouldn't involve real world countries and humans. You could involve the Fanon world countries, such as United States of Antarctica, Shops Island, Nutzil and United Provinces, there are many, many possibilities indeed and lots of writing opportunities.
Regardless, I think that I am speaking for the entire community that you have great writing skill and you have great ideas on your mind, but that they aren't accustomed to the Fanon universe. I hope this explains everything, and that you will continue writing articles on our wiki and have a great time. If you need any other help, ask me anything on my talk page or ask one of our site administrators.
Yours truly, --Penstubal (Talk) (Edits) 15:38, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
I have read your advice, and it does not matter that you welcomed me late. I thank you for your advice, and I have already changed the countries (i.e. Osterreach, Puffle'and instead of Austria, Europe). I plan on changing Count Lionel's image, and if you still have any ideas for changes, send them right over here.

Um[edit]
So I've been noticing on several of your articles that you're adding your signature. It's great your creating some (albeit some are pointless and redundant), however you don't add a signature to the page. You yourself don't exist in the universe proper, but rather make yourself known in the universe via characters (or multiple ones). Just a tip for it. I recommend you remove your signatures therefore from the articles. -Wonderweez (Talk · Contribs) 03:04, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
I removed all content from that "pointless and redundant" page, you helper! And I plan on removing my signature, if you are to tell me which pages I included it in. Gravity Falls Fan (talk) 03:12, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
