- 16 Hey
"TS, I hate Christianity, not Christians"
Now, obviously I don't, but that's exactly what you're saying. Like I said, I don't care what or who you do or don't hate, just stop using derogatory slurs on a website for children (even if it doesn't seem like it anymore). Is it really that hard? --User:EDFan12345 20:30, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
I was browsing the wiki as of lately when I noticed you had several articles relating to and/or parodying Earthbound/Mother characters or locations. Being a major fan of the two games, as well as playing them (when you go to Japan, you get some things), I was curious if I could be bestowed the responsibility of the articles, for I am writing an article right now relating to a parody of the game(s) itself. -Wonderweez (Talk · Contribs) 03:46, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
I'm a bit new to this wiki, and I came here thinking it was one in which you could make your own fanon articles and whatnot. But it doesn't allow me to create a page. Do I need to be an admin to create pages? Please respond. --Twozenos124 (talk) 22:38, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
OMG IT'S REALLY YOU, TURTLESHROOM! Sorry, you may not have met me. Name's Mr Cow2, and I'm sorta new here. I am so surprised that you're STILL active! I am glad you're a fellow Christian. BIG FAN of all the original CPFW wiki users.
NEVERMIND! It turns out you are a horrible person after all. I take back EVERYTHING I said about you. You DISGUST me. I am ashamed now to think you were a clean, friendly, helpful admin. You don't deserve adminship. I can hardly believe that you've acted like this.
P.S: I'm still glad you're Christain, and I'm still a fan of other original CPFW users.
A few things
I have a few different messages to display, but I intend for each one to have a separate tone.
"Just because something is voted on doesn't make it right.
The Inactivity Policy was a grossly corrupt, dishonest action. In fact, I see it less as a legitimate policy and more as a conspiracy to retire people like me and SN who so passionately dissent against the attempted evolution of Wiki morality. It has, for the most part, worked."
It is surely a legitimate policy... as displayed by the vote that put it into effect. Voting on something might not make it right (like the senate example you gave), but on this site you as one man have no right to overlook the wishes of the many, to satisfy the wishes of the few.
Thirteen users voted regarding the amendment, you're the only one who was against (which is perfectly ok). But you should realize that five' sitting administrators, a few users, and even past administrators (Ninjinian and Mectrix) voted it through. If it was that bad, why would all of those people vote it through? It entirely effects the administrators as a matter of fact, so why would so many active administrators vote for it if it was that unreasonable?
I don't think it's unfair, because we added the clause in there where former administrators could receive their rights back if they deserve them, and fairly easily at that. So, it's definately not a conspiracy to get rid of people. I understand that people have lives and that's fine, but at a certain point when life gets that much in the way where you can barely contribute except to put "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Easter" on the sitenotice, you probably don't need your rights anymore. Also, three months without any notice nor any edits from an administrator should certainly be enough time to demote, it's a quarter of a year!
I'm not going to get into this too much, as I don't wish to get into a huge argument with you.
I agree that mentioning/endorsing homosexuality has no place on this wiki. However, we shouldn't be more severe towards homosexuals than we are towards heterosexuals who mention their sexuality or include it in their articles, it should be equal. Also, if I remember correctly, it's been proven that some penguins are gay irl, right, so what's the big deal if an article mentions two boy penguins or two girl penguins being married (or a user mentioning that they have a partner of the same gender, i.e. me mentioning my boyfriend- if I had a boyfriend, which I don't nor wish to have).
This tone is not argumentative.
This is kind of staggered because it's my jumbled thoughts, it's 3 AM, and because I'm trying to put this message across in the correct way.
You once said that your thirst for power was because you had none in real life. I have no power in real life. I'm also pretty bad socially and with progression of my life as a whole. I haven't even started towards getting a job nor a driver's permit, and I turn 17 next month. I have essentially no friends outside of this computer, and yes I know that's pathetic, but it's true.
So I know it's nice to have power somewhere. But please remember, that we're not your enemies...
Nobody who has voted, commented or abstained on that vote is your enemy. None of us want to hurt you by taking that power or limiting it. Most of us are your friends, acquaintances, or just fans in general! You've done so much good for this site and the CPW since 2007, and you still have a small yet reasonable amount of Turtlenators. But none of us are your enemies.
We just disagree with your views, or are tired of your superioristic attitude towards things. We appreciate you, but we're not willing to leave your rights just because you want them.
Let's face it... you rarely edit except to add something to the sitenotice, or when somebody does something that you don't like. You have a life. That's great, and completely understandable! But, do you really need your rights?
I speak for myself, and I'd like to think the community would agree with me on this- we appreciate you now, but not because you're "TurtleShroom the intimidating admin". We appreciate you as "TurtleShroom the plain ol' editor", who has given so much of his time to make this site a better place. I think we could appreciate you just as much, if not more, without your admin rights.
You wouldn't have to worry about being the hard-headed, intimidating leader anymore. You could worry about being you, someone that we can all appreciate and call our friend (who doesn't start arguments left and right, and tries to rule over the place with an iron fist, because we don't always like that). I promise, the site will be ok without you at the helm, you paved the way for us, and we can stand strong. Rather than being the hard-nosed admin arguing with people, you could spend your time on Fanon doing more productive things, expanding your articles, finishing all of those incomplete stories, even making some new articles along the way! It seems like it's been a long time since you came on Fanon for Fanon content (rather than administrative stuff).
Another thing, I promise you that the updated inactivity policy wasn't aimed at you, it's to make the site better as a whole! But with that, we have to be fair- you can't be given a free pass just because you were a great, frequent contributor here a few years ago. But also remember, even if you're demoted for inactivity, you could eventually start editing again if you ever want your rights back, per the clause I was sure to include at Swiss and Bro's request. We don't want to hurt anyone by taking their rights away, and we're certainly not trying to weed people out, we just want to demote the people who don't need their rights anymore...
This last message isn't meant to be rude or argumentative towards you, I'm trying be reasonable and explain it in the best possible way. I hope that maybe you understand a little better now.
That's all for now, WannaTalk? 07:15, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Waaaaaait a moment
- Again I'd like to point out, homosexuality is not being allowed anywhere on here. Not while Seahorse, Sharkbate, or myself is in charge. Nobody "homosexual" is in charge of this vote, either. You're a good guy TS and I believe that, but please, calm down a second and listen.
- Now, to get to the root of this inactivity "problem". Normally, demoting inactive admins is how the system works. That being said, I am willing, if anybody else is, to come to some sort of agreement: this will allow you to keep your rights despite your inactivity. We on the CPW did this with Tigernose's rights some time ago; there was a huge thing about it similar to this situation right now. Now he's not active anymore (and he wasn't at the time of the vote either), but both parties (for and against) came to an agreement where he would be demoted from admin/bureaucrat but kept as staff. If you like, we can do something similar with the rights you have in a way that will satisfy you and everybody else. Nobody's punishing you for having a life, trust me -- I would be out of here already if people were being punished for "having a life".
- I am trying my best as staff to serve as a mediator. If there's anything you need, you know where to find me.
RE:RE: Acceptance of Sodomy
If there is no double standard, than why single out homosexuality? Why call homosexuality an abolmination, while not talking about homsoexuality
You are a liar and I stand by that statement. Nothing in the Child's eye policy conflicts the discrimination policy. People who are homosexual are held to the same standard of heterosexual or bisexual people ergo, no discrimination.
Romance and marriage are legalized in this wiki, so if it okay to a user to say they have a boyfriend or girlfriend then it shouldn't matter what gender they are, and shouldn't be banned for saying so.
I am celibate but I don't care what people do in their bedrooms and will defend their lifestyles from bigots like yourself. Keep digging yourself deeper.
"First off, it is ignorant for you to think that I won't punish people talking about normal sex."
Yet you still single out homosexuality. You call it an abomination, saying that's the consensus of the wiki, claim that LGBT people are deviants, but never mention straight people for fornicate.
This was the original Child's Eye policy:
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will ANY user bring up the topic, discussion, or conversation of sexual-wise topics, items, or behavior ON THIS WIKI, as we have children on here, either among us or visiting us that don't need to know what all of this mature topics are for a good 8-10 years, depending on who.
-Sexual Orientation (IN GENERAL ON THIS WIKI.)
-Sexual Themes and/or Topics
Nowhere is homosexuality singled out until you made it to be.
"Third off, the only reason you'd make a character take a spouse or lover of the same gender is to make a statement. There is no sincerity or legitimacy in writing about a cartoon penguin that enjoys taking it up the wrong end"
Gay people exist. They deserve representation as much as straight people. If you're fine with Swiss Ninja having a harem, then you should be fine with same sex romantic relationships. To do so otherwise would be gender discrimination
"For example, a male character taking a "husband" or boy toy will be rectified so that the character would either be single or in a relationship with a female character. No ban on the author of the violation is neccesary."
And if they refuse?
"Fourth off, it is not "bigotry" (or whatever buzz word you elect to metaphorically rip out of your backside to attack me with) to refuse to allow sodomy (or any other sexual activity) to pollute a website geared for children that are fans of a Disney video game. This is not the place for that. If people want to talk about being gay or write about gays, there are places all over the Internet to talk about it. It isn't that hard to let this website be a safe refuge from the oversexualization of our culture, right?"
The only person here bringing up sodomy and sex is YOU. Same sex romantic relationships are no more sexual than opposite sex ones.
I wish I didn't have to leave you this message.
First and foremost, I want you to know that I am not doing this for my pleasure/benefit. I do not endorse or agree with this action, and I didn't want to be part of it to begin with. But as usual, the dirty work was left to me and unfortunately, I have to remove your rights... per the community's vote.
I hope this does not end your time here on Fanon. I know how much this wiki means to you and it would be a shame to see you leave. I'll be sure to answer any questions you have if you feel like asking. I would greatly appreciate it if you hold no hostility towards me (or any other staffer for that matter), or even the community. They want a chance and if that's how it has to be, then so be it.
If this action greatly bothers you, I'd suggest speaking with the administrators before the staff. If that doesn't work out, we're here.
What's up? Sorry I haven't really kept in contact, its just that I got my own house recently and internet is quite expensive. Actually borrowing a friend's computer at the moment and thought I'd pop in to say hi. I know things were pretty rocky between us for a while but I'd just like to be your friend and hopefully keep in contact with you when I can. How's your life been? Was thinking once I get my own internet I'll come back to the site and do commissions for people again. Maybe we could do a collaboration? You make a story I provide pictures? I know the old crew is gone and there's only a few of us left, but I'm trying to find the old boys so we can just talk and see how we're all going. I remember coming to this site when I was 14, I'm forever 21 now hahaha.
Please tell me how your life is going and how things have been for you, it would be nice to catch up. Cheers mate. Zone 01:46, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
Unfortunately I cannot reinstate your rights without a community vote or a request from an administrator. Your rights are now in the hands of the local administration. I will speak with CK about the issue further and will forward your request for an apology to him.
Quick message: Please try to refrain from referring to "sodomy", "adultery", "butt sex", etc. Or, any other mature words that might fall under one of our mature content policies (child's eye or one of the others). Thanks WannaTalk? 21:16, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
Look, I'll make this clear. No user here is a 'sodomite'. Even if there is one, they wouldn't try to corrupt new users here. Personally, I disapprove of homosexuality as much as you do. However, as a children's wiki, we need to be neutral on these sorts of controversial topics. I've seen the Wiki insulted numerous times on Reddit for 'being homophobic'. Beside, AeroNachos is no longer here, so why are you trying to kick on his corpse? He has already admitted defeat.
Aside from that, you need to understand that nobody hates you, especially CK. He only started a vote against you because you deleted the Inactivity Policy, which not only is passed in a fair and clean vote, but also has no signs of your claimed corruption. If you want a policy repealed, you should set up a vote and express why you think it should be abolished. To quote something from our region in NS, 'if you don't come to democracy, democracy will come to you". --Slender Talk to me 22:57, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
Greetings, former ban-ee! Let me be the first to congratulate you on serving your ban sentence with pride!
A lot has changed during the three months of your absence! New users have arrived, and old users have returned. Many new articles have been created! While there have also been several downs, let's try to look at the positive changes! Multiple users from Wikia (several of whom were around from before) have made great articles since your temporary departure, which are always fantastic additions to the wiki!

I know you happen to be interested in OSes from dictatorship countries
Well, Red Star OS, North Korea's home-made operating system based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, has watermarking features.
I don't think you want to use it.

Hey TS, how's things going? You still here? Zone 10:52, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
What I am supposed to do?
I how do I create a userpage? It says I do not have the permission. :(
I'm personally glad to hear you did my survey. It's really nice to hear what an old user has to say, especially you since you have a completely different perspective on how our wiki should be ran in contrast to the current administration and current user-base of our wiki.
I would just like to ask you, since I'm asking this for all 6 users whose administrations are to be rated, what average / total score do you expect to get for your administration performance (give it with decimal numbers, e.g. 4,75 out of 7)? I'm asking this for comparison between expected result and reality. I am releasing the survey results tonight and full results, in details, and expected results will be on the same wiki page.
Anyways, hope you're having a good and successful life after everything that happened on the wiki. Thank you for taking the survey.
