The War in Slumolia is an ongoing war occurring in Slumolia between the self-proclaiming Slumolian government and UnitedTerra. It began in early July 2009 since the formation of the unofficial Slumolia nation and automatic political differences between Slumolia and the Terrain government, along with a few smaller revolt groups. While UnitedTerra fight the war mainly independently, due to the fact they are the closest nation to Slumolia and consider it a war they are responsible for, they occasionally take aid for countries that are willing to help. Although the violence has not massively impacted UnitedTerra soil, it has displaced and disrupted the living conditions of thousands of penguins. The conflict remains quiet throughout most years but there have been numerous large battles between the combatants.
The expected result is that the TaliBEAN will be defeated, however they are regularly recruiting and hide across Slumolia, making it a difficult task over the course of the six or so years. Approximately 45,000 soldiers from UnitedTerra's Military forces are deployed and dedicated to the mission against the TaliBEAN.
Numerous operations have been conducted, yet the political situation and stability of Slumolia remains grim. The UnitedTerra government hope to rename the Slumolian island and make something positive out of it.

Background[edit]
Established officially in early 2009, the TaliBEAN was formed by rogue Str00del penguins from the Str00del Force ever since Captain Str00del 'departed from duty', and by Hobos, homeless penguins that inhabited the island before the formation of Slumolia and were recruited by Str00dels. Despite the fact that both groups are extremely dimwitted, they managed to become a formidable force as a result of the leadership of Osama BEAN Larken (O.B.L.), one of the few rare breed of intelligent Str00dels (yes, you read that correct). This breed of Str00dels were never thought to exist and O.B.L. is considered the smartest of the bunch. Initially, Coldless M. Gutter, a high-profiled Hobo, enslaved a couple Hobos as his henchmen and was frequently seen trying to rob food from fellow Hobos and Str00dels. It is rumoured he attempted to form his own terrorist group when the TaliBEAN were being formed, but failed miserably. By 2015, he attempted again and formed one of the stronger minor insurgent groups, ar-Biqs. Back to discussing the TaliBEAN, they had easily gained numbers from 2008 up to early 2009, accumulating tens and thousands of penguins that were inspired by O.B.L's speeches and propaganda. The Antarctic War on Terrorism is believed to have served as as a major motivational factor and influence on the Str00dels terrorist group, wishing to cause terror themselves.
UnitedTerra came to recognise the TaliBEAN around May 2009 as a result of the UF Navy. Their usual patrolling of the seas did not stretch as far as the uninhabited (or so they thought) island. The UF Navy thought it was completely uninhabited and so never thought to journey there. However one day they noticed a boat heading into that direction and ended up having a battle at sea. This was the first official battle of the war, despite it being a small one, and marked the beginning of the troubles. What the UF Navy encountered later became known as the TaliSEAs, the navy faction of the TaliBEAN whom travel the seas looking for resources, similar to pirates. The UF Navy vs. TaliSEAs is an ongoing war at sea that is going on till this day. The UnitedTerra Parliament received word of this, and set the task to discover what is happening on the uninhabited island.
What the TaliBEAN wanted at first was to be allowed to live in peace on the island with no disturbances or interference from any authority, thus allowing them to rule and control the land as they should choose. Now that these were more advanced Str00dels than your usual lot, their protection to ensure this was to receive official independence from UnitedTerra and be declared their own official state. Initially, the aim of the government was to arrest these group of mischievous penguins, unbeknown to the fact that there were actually tens and thousands of these mischievous penguins. And of course, they denied this request from the Str00dels. They soon developed intense hatred towards Ninjinian and the government, vowing to punish UnitedTerra for their failure to abide. They even named a city after Ninjinian, although it was not so much of a positive name. The attacks began and were classified as hate crimes towards Ninjinian and UnitedTerra. Once these attacks intensified, the identity of the terrorist group was identified and after receiving their infamous videotapes, it came apparent that this was a major threat to penguinkind.
Timeline[edit]
2007–09: Early formation of Slumolia[edit]
The Hobos and Str00dels began inhabiting the island as early as 2007. In the space of merely a year, the island became the largest population of Str00dels anywhere in Antarctica. It is unknown how the Hobos got to the island, a question that puzzles everyone. The date of which the Str00dels formed their control of the island is unknown, but occurred in 2008. Their President was identified as Ben 100022, who had overthrown the previous random self-proclaimed president of Slumolia after only a week in office. After discovering that the island was inhabited after the UT Navy battle, Ninjinian named the island Slumolia, a name that the Str00dels also adopted, but more commonly prefer their 'official name', "t3H uB3r 1337 eP|c wIn n4TiOn of TaliBEAN HOBO str00DELZ d3dIC4T3d to pLeezinG teh C4paTIN bY bl0wInG uP teH P4nc4kE meN4C3!!!1!!11!111!1!!!!!!!".
Swiss Ninja's occupation of Southwest Slumolia in late 2009, at the time identified as the easiest part to invade, was a significant event. The failed coupe to steal the land from Ben 100022 resulted into SN giving it 'back' to UnitedTerra. Little did he know that he had left a massive political mess. Anyone and everyone were trying to claim leadership of the most prominent and resourceful locations of Slumolia back from Ben 100022, who found it difficult to re-established the sheer power that he had previously.
2009–10: Rise of the TaliBEAN[edit]
From the start of 2009, word went around Str00dels all across Antarctica that a new organisation was forming. They flocked in their thousands to the Slumolian island and joined what became known as the TaliBEAN. Those Str00dels went from petty crimes such as vandalising the Clubb Phengin Weekee to moving on to the big stage and targeting things other than inanimate objects. Within a matter of five months the TaliBEAN accumulated into tens of thousands of numbers, surpassing the 10,000 mark in early March of 2009. While their numbers grew, they began constructing makeshift houses and systems on the island by transporting stolen material from Antarctic mainland. However numbers wouldn't be enough for the TaliBEAN to carry out whatever task they wanted (at this point, they had not even decided on a motive yet). A few of the more smarter Str00dels realised that they would need more effective weaponry besides Strudel bombs, Spam Bombs and ROFL Waffles. As a result, these weapons were modernised and were adjusted to cause serious Deletion damage to penguinkind. This occurred throughout 2009 to mid-2010 as the dumb Str00dels attempted to figure out how to actually do it. Members would steal minor bits and bobs of resources from all across Antarctica and used it to assemble their own unique weaponry. Initially it was not so advanced, but eventually it became advanced enough to stand a chance at battle.
It is important to note that due to their rogue nature, they are known as wannabe Str00dels to loyal members of the Str00del Force, thus officially cutting their tie to the Str00del name. Although they still use it occasionally when addressing themselves individually, they became known as the TaliBEAN in late 2009 in tribute to Str00del Force member and supreme ruler of Waffleland, Mister Bean.
In terms of Hobos, they were penguins that had discovered the island and lived their without no food, shelter or resources. Most of them resided in the area of Slumolia that is now known as The Slums. Hobos were recruited in their hundreds and make up 30% of the TaliBEAN. It was not so hard to get them to join as all the Str00dels had to do was offer them food. They were easily influenced by O.S.L's propaganda, which they saw as motivational, and were in turn taught the TaliBEAN language known as Arabeak. The Hobos are practically the Str00dels' minions but some do play more important roles. Hobos are typically sacrificed and used as bait due to their sheer loyalty to O.S.L. and sheer dumbness as well.

Their rise in power was clear from their battles at sea with the UF Navy from May 2009 onwards (this group soon became known as the TaliSEAs, responsible for TaliBEAN ocean activity). While they did not manage to defeat the UF Navy, they always put up a good fight that would often resort into both sides retreating. The difficulties for the Navy proved to exist and that the TaliBEAN should be taken seriously.
The first major hate crime occurred on July 1, 2009 on the coast of Olde Snoxon, the closest Terrain state to the Slumolian island. A few hundred Str00dels and Hobos attacked it due to its popularity for port cities, the most notable being Pendulum Coast. Thus, this was the choice for the point of attack for the TaliBEAN. Entering the port in their makeshift ships, they attacked waddling civilians and buildings until the PPT were called up and fought them. A few dozen of the Str00dels that had left the ship and touched land were captured and interrogated, delivering the message and motive of the TaliBEAN to Ninjinian and the Parliament. This attack served as wake-up call for UnitedTerra and to take evasive action. They immediately dispersed triple the amount of UF Navy active at sea, heading towards Slumolia's direction, as well as protecting the coasts nearest to the island.
The following week on July 9, double the size of the TaliBEAN from the Pendulum Coast attack went for the Wilfred Isles, a collection of islands very close to Olde Snoxon and Flipscone. This time they were more successful, making it to all the islands and, this time, taking hundreds of penguins hostage.
After this, the TaliBEAN attempted to deliver their demands one last time via a videotape. Instead of caving in, UnitedTerra accepted the TaliBEAN's desire to fight and officially declared war on July 13, a few days after the attack on the Wilfred Isles, demanding for the safe return of their civilians. This was not going to happen, so the UF Forces made it their top priority to go into Slumolia, infiltrate the camps and rescue the hostages. The TaliBEAN believed that they could now defeat UnitedTerra in this war and turn everyone into Str00dels, starting off with the hostages and using them to lure UTR in.
2010: Battle at Str003Lw0RLd[edit]
2011–present: Operation: Find Osama[edit]
It has been one of the main priorities of the UF Forces to capture TaliBEAN leader, Osama BEAN Larken (O.B.L.). Ever since it become public that the penguin behind the terrorist group was the most smartest Str00dels in the world, Operation: Find Osama commenced and has been going on ever since. During any land attack, a selection of forces always steer away from battle in order to search the island for Osama. However, he still hasn't been captured.
A flipperful of sightings and near-captures have occurred throughout the years, but as of yet the main mission is still to capture O.B.L. The theory is that once he is captured, the TaliBEAN will collapse and self-destruct due to its dumbness.

Considered to be in retaliation of the imprisonment of their president, the organisation known as al-Halan was formed. Although not at the level of the TaliBEAN, they have began to rival them and could be the key to UnitedTerra defeating the TaliBEAN. Due to the hostility between them, al-Halan are labelled as a rebel group rather an a terrorist group.
Political situation in Slumolia[edit]
The political situation of the Slumolian island is a complicated one. Control is scattered across Slumolia between UnitedTerra and the TaliBEAN. Initially at the start of the war, Slumolians had 100% control, but then gradually it become weaker and weaker. Key areas of control to note for the TaliBEAN are w3 h473 n1NJ1N14n (Translation: "We Hate Ninjinian"), RO7FLwAFflE (Translation: "ROTFLWaflfle") and StR00d3Lw0RLd (Translation: "Str00delworld"). For UnitedTerra, they control the majority of sYrup S1tY (Translation: "Syrup City") and half of teH P4nc4KE (Translation: "The Pancake").
As mentioned, neither of the sides have total control of one specific place for the most part. OMgR07fl is the TaliBEAN's unofficial 'capital' and is very hard to breach. Forces have attempted to on numerous occasions.
The situation of Southwest Slumolia is considered the most important one. Though it contains the poorest part of Slumolia, The Slums, it is the best tactical location on the island, efficient for hiding. It is also the best due to its vulnerability for control. Anyone has the capability to succeed in The Slums, making it a very neutral ground and when used properly, can determine the winner of the war.

In an attempt to quell the Str00dels, the Cookie Master granted Slumolia full statehood.
Belligerents[edit]
UnitedTerra Parliament and affiliated partners[edit]
The main party that the war is directed upon is the UnitedTerra Parliament, the government of UnitedTerra. It consists of the likes of major Terrain figures such as Ninjinian, Judge Konquer, Mayor Crepsley and Administrator Kai, the lowkey director of the Terrain Spy Union. The political differences between the opponents are discussed and considered by the Parliament and make the key decisions on the war. Currently, they are not willing to give the TaliBEAN total control of the unofficial Slumolian state but do their best to negotiate to prevent further threat.
UnitedTerra Forces[edit]
The UnitedTerra Forces (UF) are the official military of UnitedTerra, consisting of 9.2 million troops. Despite this, only 40,000 of them have been disposed throughout the inception of the war. They are the ones who partake in the physical battles in Slumolia and the coasts of UnitedTerra.
They are split into their respective land, air and sea factions, at times targeting Slumolia through air strikes or by attacking via ships.
Terrain Spy Union[edit]
Most of you will be aware that the Terrain Spy Union is a security & spy association group that are officially associated with the government. Led by Administrator Kai, they acquire the necessary intel that the military and government need to gain the upper flipper on the TaliBEAN. At times, they even go to the limits of entering TaliBEAN territory, either privately or acting as a TaliBEAN member. They go to extreme limits to get the best information and are as valuable as the Forces. Without them, the war would not be possible for UnitedTerra to succeed in.
Str00del opposition[edit]
TaliBEAN and Osama BEAN Larken[edit]
The TaliBEAN are the most dangerous terrorist organisation, formed officially in early 2009. As mentioned, the TaliBEAN consist of rogue Str00del penguins that split from the Str00del Force and Hobos, all trained and motivated to take over Antarctica and destroy innocent penguins. They are the ones that battle UnitedTerra in their attempt to cease total control of Slumolia and soon enough, UnitedTerra and the rest of Antarctica.
Their leader since formation is Osama BEAN Larken, commonly abbreviated to O.B.L. and on occasions by his closest allies, Big L. He is the boss and deals with the orchestration of all attacks and matters. He is considered to be the smartest (up to a certain extent) Str00del alive.
President Ben 100022[edit]
Ben 100022, a notorious Club Penguin fugitive, is another key figure in the Str00del side of the war. He was president of Slumolia up until his capture in late 2015. Ben worked alongside the TaliBEAN as part of a deal that would allow him to remain president if he worked with them.
Fatalities[edit]
In total, there has been an estimation of approximately 7,700 casualties over the 6 years. For UnitedTerra, it has been estimated to be at 1,510, half of which are victims to Deletion. For the TaliBEAN Str00dels, the estimation is much higher, reaching at least 6,000. For clarification, these are all estimations and accurate up to 2014 as updated figures have not yet been released.
International context[edit]
Over the course of the war it has remained exclusively in Slumolia and the coasts of UnitedTerra and has posed no major threat outside of the area. The USA believe that the TaliBEAN pose a threat of breaching out and attacking other parts of Antarctica in the future.
Foreign reactions and involvement[edit]
Many nations have given their input on the war, especially its circumstances and ways it should be tackled. Even though the War in Slumolia is a sub-war of the general Antarctic War on Terrorism, numerous nations believe that the threat of the TaliBEAN is exclusive only to UnitedTerra, and that they have the capability to cope with the strength. Thus, others are not involved in the War in Slumolia in a major way.
